Chapter 923: Chapter 923: If You Were My Son (Part 1)

"Who’s spreading rumors about me?"

Before Ji Chicheng could do anything, a deep, magnetic male voice suddenly came from outside. The leisurely tone of the voice alone made one imagine just how elegant this person must be.

Ji Chicheng’s steps halted, and his eyes turned to the door, where a face he detested came into view.

Charles, with a gentle smile, faced the cameras of the reporters, smiling warmly and generously.

He even waved playfully.

In stark contrast to Ji Chicheng’s cold face, one an angel, the other a demon.

But faced with questions from reporters, Charles didn’t answer even one, letting them take pictures for a while. His gaze then turned to the laptop Ji Jingfeng had brought in earlier.

After taking a glance, he looked at Ji Jingfeng with a smile, "I’m very curious as to why Mr. Ji has photos of my son’s wedding."

Only Ji Jingfeng could feel how unsettling his smile was.

"What?"

"Son?"

"What on earth is going on?"

With just one sentence from Charles, the place turned into an uproar, and most of the people present looked baffled.

Charles nodded, "That’s right, this is the wedding of my son and my daughter-in-law."

Then he looked at Ji Chicheng with a smile in his eyes, "I said, for your big wedding, you should have taken more pictures, see, now everyone misunderstands, thinking I stole your woman, it’s just outrageous."

He ignored Ji Chicheng’s expression of wanting to punch him any second now, turned, and stretched out his hand to the assistant following behind him, who handed him a tablet.

As he turned on the computer, he said, "Good thing I found a few for you."

Charles flipped through a bunch of photos on the computer, including those from when Ji Chicheng barged into the wedding and when he was holding Ji Anning as they boarded the helicopter.

The helicopter photo was from the back of the two, at the time, Ji Chicheng was too proud to show weakness in front of Charles, so he stood tall, looking unexceptional from behind.

"This kid is usually stiff, but pretty romantic, flying a helicopter to go on a honeymoon," Charles spoke while smiling and looking at Ji Chicheng.

The angrier Ji Chicheng got, the more delighted he was.

Damn, what the hell is this?

Ji Anning, watching the live broadcast of the press conference on TV, heard what Charles said, and the corner of her mouth twitched silently.

This old man, truly fearing the world won’t be in chaos, wants to meddle wherever he can.

"Oh my god, how did Little Young Master Ji become Charles’ son?"

"Isn’t he the son whom Chairman Ji dotes on the most?"

"So confusing."

"..."

The focus of everyone began to shift, wondering just whose son Ji Chicheng was.

Charles said, "He’s of course my son, Ji Zhengdao was just raising him for me."

"Heavens, how is that possible?"

"Charles, cut the crap!"

Suddenly, a bottle of mineral water was thrown from the press platform, aimed at Charles but hit someone else instead.

Ji Mingyue cursed, slammed the table with both hands, attempting to stand up, but failed several times, which only fueled her hatred towards Charles as she cursed at him loudly, "You’re not welcome here, get as far away as possible."

Charles ignored her, still smiling at the reporters.

His words were like the opening of a suspense drama, even the old board members of J.C were in an uproar.

"How could he not be Old Ji’s own son?"

"When he was eighteen, Old Ji gave him thirty percent of the shares. If he wasn’t his biological son, how could Old Ji possibly give him the shares?"
