He sped up to catch up with her, but Ji Anning just ignored him, storming past him with a sullen look.

Clearly, she was throwing a tantrum.

"What’s going on?"

Not sure what had happened, Xiang Yiqing turned to look at the restaurant’s entrance, then at Ji Anning. Just then, a taxi pulled over at the curb. Once the previous passenger got out, Ji Anning climbed in.

After getting in, she immediately told the driver to go.

By the time Xiang Yiqing wanted to chase after her, it was already too late. Ji Chicheng happened to come running out, looking around but not seeing Ji Anning. He saw Xiang Yiqing instead.
