Pampered By My Fake Boyfriend's Brother-Chapter 484: Fate
After class, An Yin received a call from Ms. An, feeling both joy and worry.
Without bothering to drop her backpack at the dorm, she rushed to the school gate and took a bus to where Ms. An was.
Ms. An had chosen a budget-friendly hotel, and An Yin excitedly rushed to the hotel. When she saw Ms. An, she quickly entered, looking her mother up and down.
"What are you looking at?" An Ying spoke gently, closing the door at the same time.
When An Yin saw Ms. An walking, her gait was like someone limping, uneven. Her heart ached, "It’s been so long, I missed you." An Yin coquettishly whined, snuggling up to An Ying, affectionately holding her arm, wanting to help her walk.
An Ying allowed her daughter to support her, her gaze falling on her daughter’s youthful face. The little girl’s high nose bridge looked very much like someone, even the shape of her lips bore some resemblance...
"Why do you keep staring at me?" An Yin turned her head, only to see the other person looking at her intently.
The way Ms. An looked at her was as if she was her love, with such tender and loving eyes, leaving An Yin quite puzzled.
Her thoughts interrupted, An Ying quietly calmed her stirred emotions, then said, "Unconsciously, you’ve grown this big."
Hearing Ms. An’s words, An Yin rolled her eyes. Ms. An’s occasional sensitivity was something An Yin was not used to.
"Growl..."
At that moment, An Yin’s stomach inconveniently rumbled.
"Hungry?" An Ying sat by the bed, looking at her skinny daughter, the love in her eyes obvious.
"Yes." An Yin nodded seriously, considering that going out to eat would take quite some walking, her eyes sparkled, "Mom, why don’t we order takeout?"
"This stuff isn’t..." Before she could finish saying ’clean,’ she met her daughter’s clear eyes and finally nodded, "Let’s order some." Her recovering foot was sore and swollen, making it truly difficult to go out.
"I’ll do it." An Yin placed her backpack on the desk beside her, then curled up on the sofa looking at her phone, occasionally muttering, "Mom should eat light, let’s order some bok choy, and a yam meat soup, oh... spicy crayfish, that looks so tasty..."
An Ying leaned back against the headboard, listening to her daughter’s rustling voice, she spoke up, "Order it." Her daughter’s taste was heavy, and she had a weakness for spicy crayfish.
"Yay..." An Yin cheered, quickly placing the order.
After ordering, An Yin put her phone on the sofa, walked over with small steps, and plopped down by the bed in front of An Ying.
"Mom, why did you come here today? Didn’t Aunt Zhang come with you?" An Yin asked, full of confusion.
"I’m almost fully recovered, there’s really no need for someone to keep taking care of me, so I let her go back." An Ying lowered her eyes, though she felt reluctant about Aunt Zhang’s departure, she had to maintain a calm front.
Aunt Zhang had a special identity; although she overtly took care of An Ying, she was secretly someone by Bao Shaojin’s side.
"Oh." Thinking of Aunt Zhang’s meticulous care for Ms. An during this time, An Yin felt a bit guilty, but she was more interested in Ms. An’s trip now, "You still haven’t answered me, why did you come to City T alone today?"
"I have some matters to attend to." An Ying vaguely replied.
"What matters?" An Yin persistently asked, "I remember you mentioned visiting a friend here before, is it the same today?"
An Ying didn’t expect her daughter to remember what she said before. She lowered her head, "Why, are you starting to manage your mom now?"
"No, I’m just curious." An Yin stammered, seeing Ms. An really didn’t want to say, she didn’t press further.
A strand of hair slipped onto An Yin’s cheek. After An Ying saw it, she gently tucked it behind her daughter’s ear, her movements soft, her bright eyes revealing a loving gaze.
At this moment, looking at her lovely daughter, An Ying’s brows furrowed slightly as she asked, "How have you been getting along with Bao Shaojin recently?"
"Mom..." An Yin called out coquettishly, her flushed cheeks feeling hot, "We were having a nice chat, why did you suddenly bring him up?"
Seeing her daughter being so bashful, An Ying’s heart surged with waves. She knew her daughter all too well, if she didn’t truly care about someone, An Yin would deny it immediately rather than trying to change the subject.
"What, we can’t mention him?" An Ying’s eyes were like autumn waters, bright. When you looked into them, you could occasionally see a complex and subtle emotion passing through, making her eyes feel as distant and mysterious as stars in the sky.
"Of course, no?" An Yin replied with no confidence at all.
Any question regarding Bao Shaojin was enough to make An Yin lose her composure.
An Ying’s skin was snow-white, highlighted by her dark shiny hair, making her complexion appear even more fair. The indoor lighting shining on her face added a touch of softness, "Then tell me, how far have you two gotten now?"
"Mom..." An Yin called shyly, bowing her head bashfully.
"You’re my precious daughter, can’t I be curious about your relationship status?" An Ying’s beautiful eyes glimmered, her gentle voice reminiscent of the melodious chirping of birds, pleasant and moving.
"Between him and me..." An Yin hesitated, then stammered, "It’s not something that can be explained in a few words."
"If it can’t be explained in a few words, that’s fine, we can have a candlelit talk tonight." An Ying’s eyes curved with a smile, watching her daughter’s cheeks puff out as she pouted, her smile gradually widened.
"Since when did you become so gossipy?" An Yin shyly lowered her head, muttering discontentedly.
"I’m only interested in your gossip." Seeing her daughter pouting, An Ying chuckled, "Come on, tell me, how far have you progressed?" 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
As An Yin looked up, she met An Ying’s curious eyes and could only helplessly say, "He and I aren’t what you think."
"What do you think I’m thinking?" Seeing her daughter’s distress, An Ying continued to probe, "Yinyin, tell mom, do you like him?"
An Ying wanted to hear a definite answer from her daughter.
The daughter in front of her had a timid personality; even if she liked someone, she probably wouldn’t recognize her feelings right away. Instead, she would cautiously analyze herself, until she was sure of her feelings, only then would she realize she truly liked the person.
This mindset was like a little turtle hiding in its shell, always timid and afraid to face the road ahead.
An Ying sighed inwardly, her daughter was just like that!
