Startled by a sound, it turned its head and saw the giant Gaby. It let out a MEOW and puffed up its fur, awkwardly jumping onto Thomas Shannon’s shoulder, retracting its head, and timidly peeking out from behind his shoulder, stealing glances at Gaby.

He looked at Sophie Sullivan with cold eyes. "Where did you go?"

His gaze swept over Fluffy Zane. He knew Sophie was acquainted with Fluffy Zane, but he hadn’t realized they were this close.

Fluffy Zane was the first friend Sophie had brought back to the manor.

Sophie raised her hand to remove her mask. "Fluffy ran into some trouble, so I went to pick her up."

Facing Thomas Shannon, Fluffy Zane wasn’t as composed and fearless as Sophie. She looked at Sophie anxiously. "Did I get you into trouble?"

Sophie pulled her to sit down on the sofa, and a servant brought freshly brewed tea.

Fluffy Zane picked up her tea, took a sip, and then said, "I had a small conflict with a group of foreigners, and they hit me."

Thomas Shannon sneered coldly. "Pathetic. Getting beaten by foreigners in your own country is a disgrace to even mention."

Sophie irritably picked a grape from the fruit plate and threw it at him. "No one will think you’re mute if you just keep quiet."

"Fennie, I’m a patient," Thomas Shannon said, catching the grape with one hand and casually feeding it to Harry.

Fluffy Zane looked at Thomas Shannon in shock. So, they weren’t hiding it anymore, and he had started calling her by an intimate name? It seemed that William Guillen wasn’t lying to her back then; they had indeed found out Sophie’s real name.

Sophie had a servant call the doctor, who then applied medicine to Fluffy Zane’s face. The man who hit her had been strong; after two slaps, her face was severely swollen.

The doctor prescribed some anti-swelling medication, told her to apply an ice pack for a while, and then left.

Sophie yawned delicately. "I need to sleep for a bit. I’m so tired."

"You go rest. You don’t need to take care of me," Fluffy Zane said with a smile from the side.

"I’ll have a servant take you to the guest room. If you’re tired, you should rest too. We’ll have dinner together tonight."

After saying this, Sophie went upstairs with Gaby.
