Pampered by My Secret Husband-Chapter 776 - 778: Fennie, don’t scratch
Seeing her badly swollen, red face, William Guillen’s eyes darkened, and he raised his hand, wanting to touch it with his fingertips.
Fluffy Zane dodged in fear. William Guillen withdrew his hand, slowly exhaling a heavy breath. "You were fine. How did you get beaten?"
Fluffy Zane didn’t want to say more. "I got beaten, that’s all. There’s no ’why’."
"Fluffy, tell me the truth."
Fluffy Zane pressed her lips together, remaining silent.
"Something happened, so why didn’t you tell me? And how did you get in touch with Thomas Shannon?"
It truly surprised him for quite a while to learn from Thomas Shannon that she had been beaten. She’d been beaten; how would Thomas Shannon know?
"I asked Sophie Sullivan for help..."
William Guillen clenched his jaw, staring at her intensely. "Fine. Applause for your friendship."
「The night is deep.」
Thomas Shannon emerged from the bath chamber, tying the waistband of his sleep gown with one hand. He looked at Gaby, who was lying at the bedside, staring intently at him.
The corner of his mouth twitched slightly. "Fennie, are you sure you want it to watch us sleep?"
"Before I lost my memory, Gaby always slept beside my bed."
As she spoke, Sophie Sullivan, lying on the bed, stretched out her arm and stroked Gaby, who was crouched beside the bed.
How incredibly affectionate! Enough to make anyone jealous.
Thomas Shannon snorted coldly and lay down beside her.
He switched off the lamp with one hand, and the bedroom plunged into darkness. Gaby’s eyes glowed eerily in the shadows.
Thomas Shannon wrapped an arm around Sophie Sullivan’s waist, pulling her into his embrace and holding her tightly.
Sophie Sullivan pushed his chest in annoyance. "Thomas Shannon, what do you think you’re doing?"
The mattress suddenly dipped. Gaby, who had apparently risen at some point, was now perched at the bedside, staring at the two of them. Its eyes emitted a faint, eerie glow in the darkness.
Thomas Shannon took a deep breath, reining in his temper. "Fennie, make it leave!"
Sophie Sullivan was torn between amusement and exasperation. "You’re impossible! You can’t touch me tonight, and you certainly can’t kick Gaby out."
Thomas Shannon was furious. He couldn’t even compare to a pet?
"Just make it get down first." Having a tiger lying at the bedside watching them—what kind of spectacle was that? He certainly didn’t have a fetish for being stared at by a tiger while he slept!
Sophie Sullivan turned and patted Gaby’s head. "Gaby, go to sleep now."
Gaby hesitated. Sophie Sullivan had to coax it for a while before it finally relented and lay down.
Thomas Shannon was a mixture of jealous and angry. Finally, he placed a soft kiss on her smooth forehead. "Sleep now. Good night."
Sophie Sullivan nestled obediently into his embrace, closed her eyes, and murmured softly, "Good night."
Later that night, Sophie Sullivan, deep in sleep, suddenly began to toss and turn, trying to lift her hand.
Thomas Shannon opened his eyes. Seeing her discomfort, he gradually loosened his hold.
Her arm free, Sophie Sullivan immediately raised it, intending to scratch her face.
Realizing that her blood scab was about to fall off and the wound would be itching, Thomas Shannon quickly grabbed her hand and whispered, "Fennie, don’t scratch."
