Paragon of Sin-Chapter 1559 1552: Violet Abyss (2)
The alchemic lineage of a Galactic Zone! The depths of one's Creationists' legacies, inheritances, and lineage largely defined the various limits of a society's cultivation and technological strength.
Even to this day, the Golden Life Pavilion collaborated with the Godforge Association and the Yu Clan actively to produce greater tools, formations, arrays, and treasures meant to elevate the convenience of travel, safety of cultivators, ease of refinement, and stabilization of worlds. On the other hand, the Everlore Association provided the needs of cultivators throughout the stellar region to an extent.
The growth of cultivators post-King of Everlore alchemic lineage was phenomenally explosive. Simply his influence and trailblazing legacies allowed the isolated Ancient Sealed Regions to possess Earthly Saints by the hundreds after a few thousand years. Considering it was only twenty thousand years since the first Earthly Saint, Tian Taizong, ascended to that stage with peerless dominance, this was a peak example of a single alchemist.
The subsequent circumstances of three Earthly Saint Alchemists being born were equally as impactful. Unfortunately, except for Evergod, Cao Cuifen and Tian Dingjian had different priorities as the former stuck to assisting Cao Cao, the Soul Saint King, and Tian Dingjian selfishness pursued the Alchemic Dao, only assisting at Tian Taizong's behest at times. Even then, those concocted products were controlled and regulated by Tian Taizong's will.
A cultivation society's standard of Creationist lineages largely defined its future trend! All of Wei Wuyin's feats and achievements while establishing the Neo-Dawn Alchemic Lineage over the last few decades were definite proof of that! The standards of juniors and the hope of seniors were established time and time again with each new addition.
Vajarn's sunken expression was quite telling of the circumstances. However, after the World Emperor of South Hallis heaved a faint sigh, the reaction his words elicited from the group wasn't one of great surprise or extreme shock but lukewarm contemplation.
"Our Alchemic Dao isn't too developed; at our highest level, we have the Harmonious Streams Alchemic Lineage, Leviathan Pill Alchemic Lineage, and Worldly Depth Alchemic Lineage. They are all lineages from former Worldly Saint Alchemists, but we have the Earthly Saint Alchemist lineage of...." Vajarn's reply didn't just cover the Violet Abyss Galactic Zone but the entirety of the White Abyssal Galaxy.
The Harmonious Streams and Leviathan Pill Alchemic Lineage originated from the Soundless Abyss Galactic Zone, while the Worldly Depth Alchemic Lineage was born in the Abyss of Blades Galactic Zone. Whether it was the Violet Abyss or the Abyss of Tranquility, neither had given birth to a legitimate lineage at the Worldly Saint Alchemist level.
Typically, a lineage would involve a set of products ranging from a certain point to an upper limit. For example, Wei Wuyin's Neo-Dawn Alchemic Lineage had products such as the Neo-Dawn Eclipse Pill in the ninth-grade to the Neo-Dawn World-Eclipsing Pill in the Mystic-World grade. Moreover, his lineage had varied products like the Neo-Dawn Vortex-Zone Pellet, Neo-Dawn Star-Seed Pill, Neo-Dawn Blood-Howl Paste, Neo-Dawn Dual-Dao Pill, and a few more.
Long past his death, the Alchemic Dao would honor that lineage, and should any alchemists throughout all of creation would never be able to claim themselves as the inventor. Similarly, the King of Everlore had created numerous products, but a few of these products had already been created elsewhere and he couldn't place the 'Ever' prefix to their names.
For the entirety of the White Abyssal Galaxy to have three Worldly Saint Alchemist alchemic lineages was both a sign of its achievements and similarly its inferiority.
"That's impressive," Wei Wuyin remarked thoughtfully. The Ancient Sealed Regions had numerous lineages, but only two Worldly Saint Alchemist lineages-Neo-Dawn and the Everlore. Considering the scope, size, and long history of the White Abyssal Galaxy as a whole, this was enough to cause the group to feel a little underwhelmed.
Vajarn had earlier delved into the history of the White Abyssal Galaxy, stating it had existed for over four million years, and had well-documented historical records of the last three million years. Additionally, the first recorded Mystic Overlord of the White Abyssal Galaxy, a cultivator at the Ascended Saint Phase, the Seventh Stage of the Mystic Ascension Realm, had ascended over two million years ago.
That was shortly before the Onestar Era began.
After two million years, the White Abyssal Galaxy had stagnated! Moreover, it was abnormally apparent as well!
According to Vajarn's estimations, there were less than ten Mystic Overlords within the White Abyssal Galaxy. Moreover, it was hard to state with certainty more than five Mystic Overlords, as many had been rumored to have ventured into the White Abyss or traveling out toward the depths of the Dark Void beyond the galaxy to find higher paths.
For the Ancient Sealed Regions, there hadn't been a period of stagnation since the beginning of its inception!
Vajarn's sunken expression changed to a faint smile at Wei Wuyin's praise, "You're too kind, World-Saint Neo-Dawn."
"Where are those who founded those lineages now?" Cao Cuifen inquired. As an Earthly Saint Alchemist, she was curious about the circumstances of those extraordinary alchemists. She also wanted to learn.
"Ah? Where are they?" Vajarn repeated. At that point, his eyes suffused with a tinge of somberness. "Those lineages were all born over a million years ago. Those illustrious figures have long since left our world and returned to rest eternally with the heavens rest after their journey." While the words were flowery, the dreadful implication was there!
"And what about the number of Worldly Saint Alchemists? How many are active?" Cao Cuifen's eyes sparkled. An alchemic lineage did not constitute the existing number of alchemists, albeit it could determine the upper limits of those alchemists!
For example, whether it was Cao Cuifen, Evergod, Tian Dingjian, or San Luoyang, they all relied on the Everlore Alchemic Lineage to become Earthly Saint Alchemists!
It was only then that that Wei Wuyin realized why Vajarn's expression sank so swiftly and he was being so cautious and courteous before Wei Wuyin as Vajarn awkwardly eyed Wei Wuyin before replying truthfully...
"None."
A single word and each of the group's expressions underwent drastic changes as realization dawned on them! No wonder there was a stagnation of cultivation! No! It was more complex than that.
Cao Cuifen muttered instinctively as she concluded, "Those World Saint Alchemist lineages must be trash then..." She wasn't being rude! She was being truthful! At least, from the perspective of the Ancient Sealed Region!
Immediately, Vajarn's eyes darkened several times and flickered incessantly. There was a deep frustration within his heart that was unable to properly manifest nor dared to be unleashed.
"Not trash," Wei Wuyin pointed out. Those words caught Vajarn's attention and he looked over with surprise. Wei Wuyin clarified, "I'm assuming this has to do with resources and opportunities, including peculiarities of the lineages themselves. I've heard that the Abyssal Race has unique abilities towards mana. Is that right?"
Vajarn's eyes lit as he nodded.
"The three alchemic lineages must have been devised with the Abyssal Race's abilities as the foundation, and other races are unable to have such effectiveness in their concoction. Perhaps there's a limit to the pills' effectiveness relating to bloodline or racial restrictions."
The group was immediately enlightened as Vajarn nodded repeatedly. The Worldly Saint Alchemist lineages were all geared toward the Abyssal Race! Wei Wuyin recalled those products meant only for women, men, demons, beastmen, beasts, specific Spirits of Cultivations, and Physiques. He had once used these types of products to garner favor and bribe the Grand Imperial Sages of the Myriad Monarch Sect, including allowing the birth of Bei Yinyin and Bei Weiwei.
These restrictive products were often designed as specialty products. Wei Wuyin had designed Infinite Variation products as well that would be restricted to certain cultivators, so he wasn't too ignorant of these products. But that was quite...
"There's never been a single human Worldly Saint Alchemist?" Qing Qiumu had long since steadied her heart after being 'forcefully' declared as Wei Wuyin's wife and was now deeply intrigued by this conversation. The entire group was on the Minor Elysium while Wei Wuyin's Void Image accompanied Vajarn outside. The latter guided the ship through various checkpoints with ease.
"Not one," Vajarn said with a breath of depression.
"..." They all were left contemplating this situation. While humans were the majority amongst the galaxy's population, how could they hope to exceed those with the support of Mystic-World products?
"But doesn't this balance things? If there's no Worldly Saint Alchemists of either race, there shouldn't be such a heavy disparity, right?" Qing Qiumu asked, her question innocent and someone who didn't understand alchemy well would believe.
Luo Ning kindly chimed in, "While there's not an alchemist that can concoct these products independently, there are ways to do so with the joint forces of various Earthly Saint Alchemists and Mortal Sovereign Alchemists. The Everlore Association was renowned for group concoctions of Mystic-Earth products with Mortal Sovereign Alchemists at the Mystic Ascendant Realm together. San Luoyang created quite the reputation due to this very skill."
"Oh. Thank you, Senior Luo Ning." Qing Qiumu was enlightened. So Mystic-World products can still be created! And those products were only suited for the Abyssal Race!
Luo Ning was startled and felt a little awkward. Receiving thanks from His Majesty's 'wife' was...she could only bow to Qing Qiumu at the waist and this left the young elf unsure of what to do or how to respond. She could only try to lift Luo Ning while telling her that the gesture was unnecessary.
"That is probably why the galaxy has only stagnated and not declined, which is an often occurrence when a society's Creationists' lineages don't grow and those who founded greater lineages are unable to appropriately pass on their legacies to the younger generation," said Young Master Shang while taking a drink. All of this wasn't new to him.
The vast majority of cultivators were perfectly willing to refine impure-quality products up to a certain point of impurity, as they felt that the 'low' in 'low-quality' meant low-level potential excavation of perfection. How difficult was it to acquire perfection?!
They finally reached Spatial Route 13 from Spatial Route 3888, coming to a halt at the edge of a starfield's border.
Violet Sea Starfield.
At the center of which was a single violet-colored Solar Star that seemed to possess a wad of inky white liquid at its heart, as if emulating the White Abyssal Galaxy.
The group aboard the Minor Elysium was astonished to the point of speechlessness.
A gargantuan-sized stockless anchor laid flat adorned with the colors of violet and lines of yellow before them. The surface of the anchor was as if ink itself was dripping endlessly within in a cycle of top to bottom, resembling viscous and heavy rain. It felt as if stable space was forcefully anchored in the space it occupied, locking down fixed space and preventing any form of Spatial Shifting within a region of a hundred thousand miles within it.
It was a void vessel that exceeded the size of colossal Sky Destroyers!
Furthermore, there were stacks upon stacks of window-like screens built across the anchor that seemed to be one-way, somewhat giving the illusion of the anchor having hundreds of floor levels. While those within could see outside, without abnormal vision, it would be difficult to see within.
Within Wei Wuyin's perception, he saw tens of thousands of figures in those windows. Some were bunched together, others alone, and most windows were empty. They all looked at the Minor Elysium with various degrees of curiosity.
Those within were not all human, with the majority having pale white skin with brightly colored irises of bright yellow or green. Besides their skin, they looked almost exactly like humans. Wei Wuyin had seen a few humans that looked exactly like them or a mixture between demons and humans, and a few on board with darker irises and warmer complexions were certain humans with similarities.
Abyssal Race!
They were here!
To welcome?!
"I offer my greetings to you, World-Saint Neo-Dawn." A pleasant, soothing, and smooth-as-ink voice resounded through the Dark Void.
