Path to Immortality Begins With Marriage-Chapter 122: Elemental symbol
"And when Sebastian gave me a demonstration of him crafting a fireball talisman, although he wasn’t successful in crafting the fireball talisman, I was able to tell that he was flawless during the start of his crafting, and only when he was done with crafting 80% of the fireball talisman, then did he start making 2 slight mistakes that caused the finished fireball talisman to become a fail work in the end.
This meant that he most likely possesses an average of 60% to 80% success rate in crafting fireball talismans, which is already very close to hitting a constant success rate of 80%, which is the bare minimum needed to break through to becoming an official talisman crafter!"
Right as Dave finished speaking, the deep frown that was on Coril’s face finally disappeared, albeit there was still a slight frown on Coril’s face.
After all, judging from Dave’s words, Dave didn’t come to the conclusion that Sebastian possessed a rather excellent talent in crafting talismans just from referring to the information that he had obtained from the dual cultivation department.
However, because Coril still wasn’t completely satisfied with the reason that Dave had come to as to why Sebastian possessed a rather excellent talent in talisman crafting, there was still a slight frown currently on Coril’s face.
With a slight frown on Coril’s face, Coril asked with a stern look on his face, "And... you came to that conclusion just by watching Sebastian do a single craft of a fireball talisman...? What even gave you the confidence to be able to judge Sebastian’s talent in talisman crafting just from a single craft of his? Hmm?!"
Right after hearing what Coril said, seemingly to have regained his confidence, Dave cupped his hands at Coril, then said with a proud look on his face, "Grandpa, you are most probably unaware of this since you had been away from the Lisandris Family for so long."
Upon speaking up to here, Dave stretched out his right hand, and with his palm faced toward the ceiling, a symbol that resembled a water droplet came out from his palm and began floating on top of his palm.
Looking at the water droplet, it was pretty much transparent, except for the tip of the water droplet, where there was a slight touch of blue color right on it. If it were not for the fact that everyone within the room possessed incredible eyesight, they may not had been even able to see the water droplet symbol that was currently floating on Dave’s right palm.
If anyone possessed a decent understanding of talisman crafting... Upon seeing the water droplet symbol, they would immediately understood that Dave was at least a tier 1 level 1 talisman crafter.
After all, an elemental symbol was something that one would obtain when breaking through from an apprentice talisman crafter to becoming an official talisman crafter.
Right as the water droplet symbol appeared on top of his right palm, Dave continued speaking while with a proud look on his face. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
"Roughly 10 years ago, I decided to give talisman crafting a try so that I can take my mind off of pill concoctions whenever I came to a plateau with my pill concoction skills, and I ended up managing to break through and become an official talisman crafter a few years ago!
What do you think, grandpa? Do you now think I possess the rights to judge Sebastian’s talisman crafting skills?"
Upon seeing the water droplet symbol, Coril was aware that Dave did indeed possess the capability of correctly judging Sebastian’s talisman crafting skills.
However, Coril was evidently not the kind to give in to others, and especially not to Dave who currently had a proud look on his face that was leaning toward becoming a smug look.
Thus, instead of admitting that Dave do indeed possess the rights to judge Sebastian’s talisman crafting skills, Coril chided loudly at Dave while with a slight frown on his face.
"Instead of concentrating all of your attention onto your cultivation and pill concoction skills, you actually wasted resources and time on learning a profession that you wouldn’t spend much time on after you were done learning it?!
If everyone within the Lisandris Family were to follow along as what you did, it is only a matter of time that the Lisandris Family run out of cultivation resources!
Shoo, shoo! Get out of my sight! Just the sight of you is enough to make my blood boil! Go and wait for us outside of the house!"
While Coril was speaking, Dave’s expression could be seen to have come to a froze, and right as Coril finished speaking, Dave looked over to Henry, hoping that Henry would help put in a word for him.
However, upon seeing Dave looked over to him while with a hopeful look on his face, Henry quicky shifted his gaze away from Dave, then pretended to be in a deep thought as he closed his eyes and rubbed onto his chin with his right hand.
Upon seeing his father’s reaction, the corner of Dave’s mouth couldn’t help but twitch for a bit.
Meanwhile, upon seeing that Dave was still remaining still, Coril chided at Dave once again.
"What? Do you not understand human language or something? What are you still standing here for? Hmm?!"
"... Understood, I will go and wait outside for you all then..."
After cupping his hands and bowing at Coril, Dave turned around and began walking toward the door.
And right as Dave had walked out of the house and closed the door behind him, then did Coril put on a smile on his face and said amicably to Veronica, "So, Veronica, do you feel reassured now?"
"Yeah, I do." Veronica said as she nodded her head, then continued, "Now, let me go through a few more plans that I have in mind with all of you, so that you all are completely aware of all of my plans..."
...
Next day...
Early morning...
Within the cultivation room of Sebastian’s house...
An unusual flow of energy could be seen surging throughout the cultivation room.
