Although Sebastian was currently aware that he most likely was in a hallucination of some sort, especially since the information that had flooded into his mind just a while ago had informed him that the torch dragon was no longer alive, and Sebastian himself was aware that the Ancient Era was an era that had ended 15,000 years ago.

But when he saw that the torch dragon looking into his direction, he still couldn’t help but feel a chill running down his spine.

"So, this is what a creature that stood in the top of the power chain during the Ancient Era looks like, huh..."

"I wonder just how strong such a mystical creature like this actually is. Though, I reckon that the entirety of the north continent’s cultivators wouldn’t be able to even hold a candle to this creature."

Right as Sebastian was thinking to himself in his own mind, Sebastian suddenly heard a loud cry of a bird accompanied with the sounds of wings flapping coming from behind him, and right upon hearing those two sounds, Sebastian subconsciously turned his head around to take a look at the source of the sounds.

Immediately after turning his head around, Sebastian saw that a huge bird-like creature that was covered in flames was currently situated not far away from him.

The huge bird-like creature possessed feathers that were golden in color, and the flames that were covering onto its body were reddish gold in color.

"Ah... So, the torch dragon wasn’t looking at me. Instead, it was looking at this bird-like creature..."

Right as Sebastian finished muttering to himself in his own mind, just like before, where information regarding the torch dragon begun flooding into his mind out of nowhere, new information had begun flooding into his mind once again.

However, this time, instead of information regarding the torch dragon, it was the information regarding the bird-like creature that he was currently looking being flooded into his mind.

Phoenix king, the strongest phoenix within the Ancient Era, king of the phoenixes, and also the master of the Tree of Life, one of the nine sacred lands that was located within the Celestial Realm.

Phoenix, the symbol of immortality. Even if a phoenix were to die in battle or various other causes, so long as a single drip of the phoenix’s blood exists, the phoenix was able to resurrect and come back to life.

Of course, such ability didn’t come without cost. Things such as dropping in cultivation levels, drop in aptitude, and various other side effects come along with the usage of resurrection.

Therefore, phoenixes weren’t as unkillable as most would think.

However, whether if phoenixes could be killed easily, that was another question. After all, phoenixes were one of the creatures that possessed the highest cultivation aptitude the moment they were born.

Furthermore, aside from being born with the highest cultivation aptitude, phoenixes were also one of the creatures that possessed the strongest fire abilities.

Take their flames that they were born with for example. Thus, this meant that, when facing against a phoenix, one would most likely have to be able to take their fire attacks head on with just their body alone, or else, the best course of action would be to flee from a phoenix.

Right as the information was done flooding into his mind, it took a short moment for Sebastian to come back to his mind once again.

And right when Sebastian came back to his mind, both the phoenix and torch dragon began letting out loud cries while gazing at each other with a fierce look on their faces.

"Caw!"

"Roar!"

Right as the phoenix let out a cry, the phoenix could be seen immediately opening its mouth and shooting a large ball of flame out from its mouth.

And since the phoenix was looking in the torch dragon’s direction, it was evident as to just where the large ball of flame was being shoot toward to.

On the other hand, the torch dragon could be seen doing the same as the phoenix, whereby it shot out a large ball of flame out from its mouth too.

However, different from the phoenix king’s large ball of flame that was reddish gold in color, the torch dragon’s large ball of flame was actually white in color.

As the two large balls of flames began flying toward each other, since Sebastian was situated within the middle of both the phoenix king and the torch dragon, he was immediately engulfed by both of the flames right when the two large balls of flame collided into each other and exploded.

With his vision filled entirely with a mix of white, red, and gold, and his ears filled with the deafening sound of explosion, Sebastian felt as if he was about to go blind due to how bright it was and deaf due to how loud the explosion was.

Fortunately, just a few seconds after the explosion happened, Sebastian found himself to have been teleported into a cave, and thus, he no longer have to suffer from the eye-blinding brightness that filled his eyes, and the deafening sound of explosion that filled his ears.

Currently, right before him was an egg that was five times the size of his body.

Right as he landed his eyes on the egg, the egg could be seen shaking slightly, and cracks could be seen appearing on the egg.

And not before long, right as the entire of the egg was filled with cracks, the egg was cracked open from the middle.

As the top half of the eggshell fell to the side, the creature that was within the egg entered into Sebastian’s eyes.
