Path to Immortality Begins With Marriage-Chapter 35: All for nothing
"Big... brother...?"
Right after muttering that in a low voice, the middle-aged man’s eyes were finally opened completely.
Looking at the middle-aged man, he possessed long gold color hair that reached all the way to the lower end of his upper body, and he possessed an incredibly handsome look for someone of his age.
Looking at his handsome face, it was evident that he must have been extremely handsome too back when he was younger.
With a black color Daoist gown that had intricated golden color totems sewn onto it worn on his body, and a gold color grown worn on the top of his head...
Pairing both of that with the fact that the middle-aged man was sitting on the throne room, it was evident that this middle-aged man was the emperor of this throne room.
Right as the middle-aged man’s eyes were opened completely, the middle-aged man could be seen lowering his head and looking downward to the floor.
And right after doing so, the middle-aged man began muttering in a low voice once again, "No... a descendant... of big brother’s...?"
"The yin and yang cores..."
"Sigh... cough, cough, cough..."
"Look at this... huge scene that... this descendant of yours... have created..."
"Is he that tired... of living...?"
Upon muttering in a low voice up to here, a slight smile could be seen slowly appearing on the corners of the middle-aged man’s mouth as he let out a light chuckle, "Haha... cough, cough..."
"Those lowly humans must... most likely be scared shitless... right as they sensed that... your innate talent, the yin and yang cores... have appeared in the... cultivation world... once again..."
Unbeknownst to the middle-aged man, Sebastian himself was a human in his past life, and within this new life of his, although he wasn’t a pure-bred human anymore, he was still half-human.
"Though... for this descendant of yours... to be located within the Lower Realm... I guess I can’t fault him for ending up creating such a huge scene..."
"After all, the amount of spiritual energy that are needed in order to completely form... the yin and yang cores... are not a small amount at all..."
"Cough, cough..."
"I guess, rather than hoping... that someone would be able... to finally cure the... Tree of Life..."
"Perhaps, I should put all my hope... onto this descendant of... yours..."
"Sigh, after this... I wonder when would... I be able to wake up again..."
Right upon muttering in a low voice up to here, gold color flames could be seen suddenly appearing all around his body, and in the next moment, the middle-aged man had disappeared from the throne, while a phoenix that possessed gold color feathers and was enveloped in gold color flames could be seen appearing outside of the hole that was located at the peak of the Tree of Death.
"Caw!"
Right as the phoenix let out a loud cry, the phoenix could be seen flying over to the battlefield that was located not far away from the Tree of Death.
While ignoring the look of shock that the various cultivators that were at the battlefield had on their faces, the phoenix scooped up three random weapons that were scattered on the ground of the battlefield, then flew up high into the sky and scratched its sharp talons onto the empty space within the sky.
Right as the phoenix scratched its sharp talons onto the empty space, a portal that led toward the Lower Realm’s North Continent immediately opened within the empty space.
Immediately after, the phoenix began enveloping its golden flame all around itself and the portal, forming a barrier of golden flame around both the portal and itself.
Right after, the phoenix transformed back into its middle-aged human form and began panting heavily for breath.
"Hah... hah... hah..." 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞
Right after catching his breath, the middle-aged human finally began speaking into the portal.
"15,000 years... it has been..."
"Descendant... of..."
Right when the middle-aged man was about to mention his big brother’s nickname, which was "The Banished", the middle-aged man was able to sense that something bad may happen if he were to utter his big brother’s nickname, and thus, his voice came to a pause for a moment.
"..."
"This is... all I can do to help aid you in your journey..."
"Do not disappoint... the dragon race... and the phoenix race..."
Upon speaking up to here, the middle-aged man tossed the 3 weapons that he had picked up from the battlefield, then began controlling the directions in which the 3 weapons were to fly toward to, which ere the utmost east, utmost west, and utmost south of the North Continent, all of which that were located extremely far away from the upper north continent that Sebastian was currently located at.
Right after the 3 weapons had each landed onto the utmost east, utmost west, and utmost south of the North Continent, the middle-aged man began placing his view onto the upper north continent and tried to look for just who was the one who managed to awaken the yin and yang cores, intending to take a look at how his big brother’s descendant looked like, and what kind of aptitude his big brother’s possesses to actually had been able to awaken his big brother’s innate talent, the yin and yang cores.
However, right as he placed his gaze onto the upper north continent, he could feel a chill running down his spine as he had the feeling that if he were to continue on with trying to look for just who was his big brother’s descendant, his soul was going to end up being destroyed.
And for someone like him who was in the immortal realm, he was aware that his gut feeling was correct most of the time, and thus, without any hesitation, he closed his eyes and stopped gazing into the portal.
After what seemed like a few minutes of silence, the middle-aged man couldn’t help but let out a mocking laugh, seemingly to be mocking at himself, "Hah... Seems like I did all this for nothing..."
