Chapter 27: Giant Starry Sky

His main avatar that was in his original Great Universe was finally on the move, heading towards Yi Mingxue’s Great Universe.

Although he could turn his weak avatar into the main avatar, it would cause too big of a ripple that people would question what he was doing.

Right now, he just didn’t want to attract any attention.

Due to the distance, it took a few days before he arrived.

He suppressed his aura as deeply as possible, making him even look like an ordinary human despite his greatest strength.

His weak avatar carrying that dimensional rift brought him to a deserted area not far from Yi Mingxue’s Great Universe.

There, his main avatar waved his hand, silently releasing power, turning the area dark, a darkness that could not be easily penetrated even by the Progenitors.

No matter what, the rift had to be hidden or if any Void Masters happened to pass by, they would easily realize the existence of the rift due to their extremely sharp perception.

Asher then enveloped himself in a very dark night light, so dark that it could not be seen with the eyes, as if it did not exist.

Only he himself knew that it existed.

After that, he entered the dimensional rift again.

With his main avatar, things were naturally different. He could see millions of times wider.

Even without seeing, he could sense many things.

The passage in his view was no longer a vast or long place.

It was just a small path that he could pass through with a single step.

He easily saw the end where he saw an extremely thick transparent wall of light, separating the passage into two.

The other side of the wall of light was full of holes but was far from collapsing.

It seemed that the other party attacked the wall quietly so as not to be detected.

Behind the wall, he actually saw a human, an old man with a black cloak that enveloped his entire figure.

He covered his head with the hood of the cloak, but left his face visible.

His skin was wrinkled, yet he had golden eyes that seemed to shine brightly.

By looking at his eyes, anyone could tell that he was extremely terrifying.

He carried a golden staff with a lion’s head on it.

It was a lion’s head that seemed to be alive, having eyes and a mouth that still moved.

The old man’s eyes relentlessly looked down the hallway, like he was trying to figure out what was behind it. However, with only the strength equivalent to a Bloodline Progenitor, he couldn’t see any further because the wall of light in front of him had blocked up to 90% of his perception and vision. He could only send 10% of them past that wall of light.

Asher himself had some difficulty seeing further behind the old man as there was a pool of energy that seemed to have been deliberately gathered there to block sight and perception.

However, to him as a Dao Progenitor, that energy pool seemed to have no essence.

It came from brute forces with no understanding of the Dao, similar to the powers of Void Monsters and Bloodline Cultivators.

Asher could use his Daoist perception to penetrate that energy pool.

It was a much more unique perception, pure of will, and without even using energy so his existence was harder to detect yet had a much wider range even at the same cultivation level.

He could naturally make observations far above the old man even if the barriers he faced were more.

When his perception passed through that energy pool, he saw a dimensional gap that was exactly the same as the gap behind him.

His perception passed through that rift, arriving at a vast space where he instantly saw a scene that was extremely impressive to him.

Far ahead, he saw nine large galaxies surrounding a single larger galaxy at the center.

They were so bright that the space around the galaxies looked like it was daytime.

To him, what was most amazing was the size of them all.

Each galaxy seemed to contain a trillion enormous worlds and each one was as big as the Great Universe itself.

Each of these enormous worlds is then surrounded by smaller worlds, but they are still the size of a small universe.

And each of them is surrounded by even smaller worlds.

Ten Giant Galaxies, Giant Starry Sky.

Asher was filled with ideas about the name of the scene he was seeing.

’I can feel it, 30 auras equivalent to Bloodline Progenitors and then 1 aura equivalent to Dao Progenitors.’

His eyes shone brightly as he sensed those auras.

This was impressive and shocking.

Although it seemed weaker than the Infinite Void, he could feel the tremendous potential of those galaxies.

’It’s just that, that strongest aura seems to be unable to move, what’s going on?’ He wondered as he realized the existence equivalent to a Dao Progenitor in terms of aura seemed like he was confined to a certain place.

He couldn’t guess. That existence might be able to observe the Infinite Void if he entered this passage.

’That’s not important. The important thing is how do I come to this new place without being detected?’ He wondered.

The problem was that barrier.

If he attacked without restraint, he might be able to destroy it in less time, but it would result in a huge commotion. It was likely that the Progenitors in the Infinite Void would also sense it.

’Unless I use that artifact, the World Needle...’

He remembered about the time-space artifact that could penetrate everything without being detected by anything.

It belonged to the Void Monsters, stored in their core territory, the huge continent he had seen, the Primordial Continent.

The artifact was not made by anyone. It appeared on its own in the Infinite Void. In other words, it was an innate artifact of the world.

The power core of the artifact was the fusion of the Dao of Space and the Dao of Time.

Unfortunately, the monsters took control of the void early so the precious thing fell into their hands.

’Damn, I can’t come to this place anytime soon...’ He cursed as he concluded that there was nothing he could do.

Waiting for the other side to destroy the barrier would obviously take a long time as they seemed to have chosen the slow way as well, probably because they did not want the other side to find out.

Of course, if the two worlds invaded each other, it was guaranteed that the Infinite Void would win with the existence of the seven Dao Progenitors and several existences that were almost on par with them.

However, what Asher wanted was to take control of the civilization itself.

He was very confident that he could conquer them by relying on his strength and his hunch told him that he would get a great opportunity there.

It would make him even stronger, but if it was shared with other Dao Progenitors, the opportunity would not be so meaningful.

’I can be patient for a while. First, wait for my artifact first,’ he thought, calming himself down.

He exited the passage, but continued to stand beside the dimensional rift, resolved to guard it constantly.

At the same time, he gave something to his avatar.

He then flew to Yi Mingxue’s Great Universe.

The latter was still with his other avatar, waiting for the gift he had said.

Not long after, the avatar carrying the gift finally arrived, merging with the avatar accompanying her.

"This will be your most crucial cultivation moment," Asher told her.

"As such, I will personally supervise your cultivation throughout the entire process, take me to your place," he continued.

Yi Mingxue could not guess the gift her teacher would give her. She only knew that it was extremely precious even to her teacher.

She nodded then invited him to follow her.

At the center of this Great Universe, there was a giant floating city.

It exuded an aura of prosperity although it seemed to be lacking in rules because when arriving on it, Asher saw so many battles between cultivators. Some were even extremely powerful.

These made endless damage to the city.

Yi Mingxue had really given too much freedom.

Asher didn’t comment on her ways, he followed her to the large palace in the center of the city.

It was guarded by many soldiers.

Although the city allowed fights, fights near that palace would get a lynching, regardless of who was right or wrong.

The design of the palace was similar to her palace in the Sacred Silk Realm.

Even when entering it, Asher felt like he had entered the same place.

Yi Mingxue then took him to her cultivation room which was in the basement.

It was extremely spacious, surrounded by formations that could withstand any kind of energy blast.

There was a small chair in the center of the basement. Yi Mingxue probably sat there while she cultivated.

Only, she was a bit hesitant to sit down because it meant she was sitting in front of her standing teacher.

Asher naturally did not mind.

He gave a sign for her to sit down.

Being asked, she naturally sat down.

In front of her, Asher took out something similar to a ball, emitting a different light every time.

"You have to swallow it," he said.

"It’s called the Soul Dao... When you swallow it, for a moment you’ll feel as if you’ve mastered all kinds of Dao up to the Void Level. Many of my disciples or children want it, but I also only have a few, so I only give it to those who have made great contributions. You can be considered to have made great contributions so you deserve it."

Asher handed the Dao Soul to her after briefly explaining what it was.
