Peak Cultivator's Slice of Life-Chapter 42: Leave
Everyone was looking forward to Yi Mingxue and the Heaven Valley City Lord’s fight.
This would be a fight that would definitely give them a lot of insight as it was a fight between a peak Dao expert against someone who had evolved a little further.
Everyone knew that anyone below a peak expert would practically die fighting her, only an existence like the Heaven Valley City Lord might be weaker than her but could still put up a fierce fight.
However, the thing they were waiting for did not happen.
The Heaven Valley City Lord did not hide and Yi Mingxue did not come to her.
Initially people thought it was only temporary, but year after year, absolutely nothing happened.
100 Trillion Years, 200, 300, even up to 500 Trillion Years which could be considered long enough to make a lot of changes even though the top expert had not changed, Yi Mingxue still did not act.
She never even fought again yet it was certain that she was still in the Boundless Ancient Realm as she sometimes appeared in certain places with the man who was presumed to be her disciple and was still a Paragon even after 600 Trillion Years in total since their arrival.
Asher originally wanted to bring Yi Mingxue immediately away from the Boundless Ancient Realm to a harsher world.
However, he delayed it because the woman had evidently begun to progress in both the Dao of Space and the Dao of Time.
After 250 Trillion Years, her Dao of Space reached the 2nd Stage of Half-Void Body then after 500 Trillion Years, her Dao of Time caught up.
It might seem much slower than her Dao of Destruction and Dao of Life, but it was actually very fast because there was a reason for her Dao of Destruction and Dao of Life to advance faster.
With the support of the Dao of Space and the Dao of Time, the woman naturally became much stronger.
Right now, she did not seem to have any obsession with seeking revenge against the Heaven Valley City Lord or rather she had no interest in seeking it first.
She was busy practicing, only if they met by chance would a fight probably happen.
However, that chance encounter seemed almost impossible as the Heaven Valley City Lord very rarely even left her city.
She was too focused on her cultivation.
Today, after Yi Mingxue’s Dao of Time had progressed, she used a ship to cross a river that split a giant snowy mountain range.
The mountain range was at the end of the Boundless Ancient Realm.
It wasn’t a place with monsters, but the coldness of the mountains made only False Void Stage Masters able to enter. And they couldn’t even fly.
Asher as a weak avatar would have died if not for him being inside Yi Mingxue’s Dimensional Artifact.
People often referred to this region as the end of the world.
This was because there was a portal at the end of the river that led to another unknown world.
Those who had entered the portal never returned.
Of course, the portal led to the world that Asher and Yi Mingxue wanted to go to.
Since there was a portal, Asher no longer needed to carry Yi Mingxue through the void.
After several days of crossing the river, she finally arrived at its end.
A portal hovered at the end of the river, not too big and rotating slowly.
It appeared to be just an ordinary portal yet by looking at it, one couldn’t help but feel the sensation of a far-away ancient.
"Mm..." Yi Mingxue gazed at the ice shards by the river as she saw a woman standing there quietly.
She looked to be in her 30s, had long black hair and was wearing a loose white dress that had no pattern.
Her figure seemed to blend into the air because of how calm she was with an almost unchanging expression.
She calmly stared at Yi Mingxue.
When their gazes met, she smiled faintly.
"Lady Yi, do you also wish to leave this world?" she asked calmly, as if they had never had any animosity.
Yi Mingxue wasn’t looking for her, but they actually met here.
She spontaneously took out her sword.
Although she had once told her teacher that she was not so ambitious for revenge, still she felt vengeful when she saw this woman in person.
"Lady Yi, although you are stronger than me, our realms are still the same. You won’t be able to bully me," the woman said again when she saw Yi Mingxue’s sword.
"Hm..." Yi Mingxue snorted coldly in response, making her gaze at her become extremely cold.
If it was other peak experts, she could likely still suppress them, but only just suppress, not knock them down.
The Heaven Valley City Lord might only have one Dao that reached the peak, but compared to other peak experts, her accumulation was deeper in that she had the support of other Daos.
Her strength was quite close to an existence like Yi Mingxue.
Even her master once said that if there were a hundred peak experts somewhere, she who had two Daos could be ranked in the top 3.
However, the Heaven Valley City Lord would be ranked in the top 10.
It was absolutely impossible for her to give her a blow that knocked her out like the time she gave her a blow.
Realm similarity, that was the problem.
Yi Mingxue’s expression somewhat soured for a moment.
"You’ll be in big trouble if I become a True Void Master," she said, which slightly startled the Heaven Valley City Lord.
She was actually talking about her becoming a True Void Master.
This was a very heavy topic because although there were many who reached the peak of cultivation, almost no one dared to say they would become a True Void Master, that included the Heaven Valley City Lord.
Stuck for quite a while as a 3rd Stage False Void Master, she became aware that advancing to True Void Master was like crossing the vast ocean as an ant. The level of difficulty was truly unimaginable.
Of course, she did not dare to look down on Yi Mingxue because the latter showed talent that far surpassed hers.
Instead of mocking her, she smiled again as she nodded.
"If that’s the case, I don’t mind dying if you ask me to die. However, I think by then, you won’t care about a small figure like me anymore," she said.
"I could have forgotten anyone who ever hurt me, but I still remember even the little mosquito that once annoyed me when I was just a mortal. Unfortunately, that mosquito died a long time ago. Otherwise, I would have killed it once again," Yi Mingxue replied indifferently before stepping into the portal.
The Heaven Valley City Lord was somewhat surprised to hear her words.
However, she still showed no concern.
"I hope you have not upset me, Lady Yi," she said.
Yi Mingxue did not respond.
When she stepped into the portal, her figure instantly disappeared.
She had no qualms about entering like most people who would stand in front of the portal first for days.
Even the Heaven Valley City Lord had already been there for one week.
Seeing Yi Mingxue enter, she seemed to lose her hesitation.
She leapt into that portal.
What the new world was like, she was looking forward to it.
Because she entered at the same time as Yi Mingxue. She appeared next to her in a transparent red bubble, allowing them to see out.
However, when the red bubble moved, they could not see anything anymore because of how fast it was.
Moreover, it suppressed their strength, making them seem like mortal men.
They even felt as if their strength had disappeared.
This was a rather uncomfortable feeling for them.
Without their strength, they were just two weak women.
This was not the case for Asher. The power of his body had no longer been suppressed since they left the Boundless Ancient Realm.
He watched the two, hoping that Yi Mingxue didn’t start a fight thinking this was an opportunity to directly hit the Heaven Valley City Lord since they were both mere mortals.
Right now, he sensed a bit of tension from them.
If they were to fight, given that they were both women, he was worried that it would be like a fight between two cats clawing and biting each other.
In the end, that Heaven Valley City Lord was also a woman who had reached the limit of cultivation.
Even if she looked gentle, she would definitely fight back if she was hit.
Fortunately, although Yi Mingxue seemed to think the woman had upset her, as someone who had once been a princess lord, she was still able to restrain herself because she was aware this fight would ruin her image.
Asher then stared outside the bubble.
Its speed did not affect his view at all.
It went far away, leaving the crowded place, going to a quiet region where there were only one or two Great Universes in sight.
Not long after when there were no more Great Universes to be seen, a gap appeared in the void, a gap that appeared to be the mark of a sword slash.
The bubble entered into that gap.
