Peak Cultivator's Slice of Life-Chapter 52: Tree Princess
"What do you call good intentions?" asked the Eternal Ice Queen coldly.
If observed, she was apparently clenching one of her fists.
Her eyes were completely widened and did not blink anymore as she waited for his reply.
She was clearly angry, but as an extremely beautiful woman, her anger only made her appear more beautiful.
Even Asher was tempted to hug her directly, thinking it might ease her anger.
Of course, that was just his wild thoughts. If he were to do that, he was worried that this Ice Queen would attack him until one of them died.
In response to her question, Asher chose to show a calm smile.
"Queen, I think saying it will only make you angrier, so it’s better for me not to say it," he said.
"It’s just that, I’m sure you understand what I mean."
After saying that, he winked his left eye at her so that her eyes opened wider.
Only, he did not do anything too over the top so that the queen could not directly blame him.
Although she wanted to be angry, unfortunately the provocation was not enough. Plus that now he was here to help her.
Not long after, an enormous red sea appeared in front of them, floating in the void.
"Queen, I’ll make a stop at this sea first," Asher said to the woman beside him before flying into the red sea.
With his main avatar, he had enough power to enter directly into the sea without needing permission from the Red Sea Progenitor.
The Eternal Ice Queen showed an indifferent attitude with his departure.
She did not stop, continuing to fly into the distance.
Inside the red sea, on a calm land, Asher finally met the Red Sea Progenitor, a thin old man with fins on both cheeks.
Today he wore a blue robe that looked very clean, probably freshly made.
Although his aura still seemed weak, he gave the impression of having high spirits.
The first thing Asher did when he met him was to return his bottle.
"Night Sky Progenitor..." The old man greeted him.
"Congratulations on successfully turning Father Tree into a complete artifact," he said.
Of course, now he knew what Asher was relying on to restore his condition to the peak. That was why he seemed excited now.
He had suffered no loss at all since the artifact had returned and it was earlier than they had promised, so it could be said that he had gained a great profit.
"You will be the first to enjoy this artifact," Asher told him.
When he opened his palm, Father Tree appeared above his palm in its small form.
Although it was very small, it was full of vitality. Just by looking at it, the Red Sea Progenitor found that his body was improving rapidly.
"It’s incredible," said the old man.
"When he was alive, although Father Tree’s combat power was very weak, but he was one of the best supporters in fighting. One can become much stronger with his help. To think that he eventually died and became an artifact..."
While saying all that, he couldn’t help but stare at Asher with admiration.
Xiu!
Suddenly on top of the Father Tree, a tiny green girl appeared.
She seemed to be made of light but was more solid than just light.
"Don’t keep calling me Tree Father, I am now Tree Princess..." She could apparently speak and what she said shocked the Red Sea Progenitor.
Even Asher was somewhat surprised when he saw her.
Of course, she was the spirit of Tree Father.
With that level of artifact, its spirit could naturally have a personality directly, complete with high intelligence.
Only, it was somewhat different from what Asher had expected.
The spirit was actually changing her own identity.
This meant she was more intelligent than just a spirit.
’Maybe it’s because it merged with the Great Universe Spirit,’ Asher thought.
After that, the spirit looked up at him.
"Master, please don’t call me Tree Father anymore. I am a girl and still young, I am more suited to be a Tree Princess," she said.
To him, she was rather polite because from the moment she rose up, she was immediately bound to him.
Hearing her request, he felt like laughing.
Of course, this was not a serious matter.
"Okay, from now on you are the Tree Princess," he said with a faint smile.
"Now, can you use your power to restore him?" he added while glancing at the Red Sea Progenitor.
Actually he could control that spirit as if controlling his own limbs since she was so attached to him.
However, he preferred a more lively relationship between them by letting the spirit act on her own following his instructions without his direct control.
"Yes!" The spirit nodded.
"However, his injuries are so severe, I need to fuse my roots with his body. Only then can I send more vitality to him," she said.
Asher looked at the Red Sea Progenitor, waiting for his response as this would depend on his permission.
Of course, the old man nodded without hesitation. He was still quite confident in the Night Sky Progenitor.
If the latter wanted to do something strange to him, it was too easy for him. He didn’t need to play tricks.
As soon as he nodded, the few roots under the tree enlarged.
Xiu! Xiu! Xiu!
They pierced the Red Sea Progenitor’s body at several points, such as the shoulders and thighs.
For a moment, the old man’s eyes widened. Perhaps he was in pain.
However, as green spiritual energy flowed through the roots into his body, he instantly looked at ease.
His face flushed slightly, which indicated his blood flow was stabilizing.
Over time, he even seemed intoxicated.
Quickly, his aura began to become ferocious, like a hellish sea that could ravage life.
"It’s done," said the spirit of the Tree Father who was now called the Tree Princess.
She withdrew her roots and the holes in the Red Sea Progenitor’s body from the puncture of those roots instantly closed, leaving no mark at all.
The Red Sea Progenitor looked extremely refreshed where even his breath emitted a terrifying aura.
Universe Void Masters, even those at the peak of that realm, would tremble when feeling the aura from his breath.
"Night Sky Progenitor, thank you. If not for your help, I’m not sure when I would have recovered," he said, saluting Asher without checking his body condition first.
Of course, that was also unnecessary since a healthy person knew that he was healthy.
"Then I’ll leave now, I still have things to do," Asher replied.
Whoosh!
He disappeared instantly, hiding in the darkness and moving quickly towards the Foreign Ice World deep in the depths of the void.
The location he was heading for was a completely deserted place where not even the Great Universe was visible at all.
This was an area where the Great Universe never appeared.
Darkness filled every side. Even seeing became something difficult including for extremely powerful existences like Dao Progenitors.
However, not long after entering the area, Asher saw a blue light shining in the distance, illuminating the darkness.
The light came from a female figure standing quietly on a huge black rock.
The cold darkness became colder because of the woman’s blue light.
Only briefly not seeing her and then seeing her again, Asher had to adapt to her dazzling beauty.
Every part of her figure was so imposing that it made one’s heart ache.
Of all women, there was indeed no one more beautiful than the Eternal Ice Queen.
Anyone who saw her would be infatuated with her.
Unfortunately, almost all men were afraid to show their feelings.
Among the Progenitors, Asher was the only one who showed it to her, and he even showed his desire to make her his mate.
The other Progenitors only dared to talk about their feelings behind her back.
Unfortunately, the Eternal Ice Queen showed a different expression when she saw him again.
For a moment, her lips became pouty.
Shua!
Asher appeared right in front of where she stood, facing towards her.
However, he was staring down.
Right in the middle of them, there was actually a faint blue portal attached to the rock.
The portal was small, yet it gave the impression of infinity.
It was of course the portal leading to the Foreign Ice World.
Some people had entered but did not dare to stay there for too long.
Just because that world was devoid of life, this did not mean there was no danger at all.
Although the danger never appeared at all, people who entered that world always felt the danger.
The further they went, the greater the danger they felt.
In the end, fear overcame them so they preferred to retreat.
"By the way, Queen, out of everyone, you are the one who has entered the Foreign Ice World the most. You know the most about that world. I’m sure you have a clear goal," Asher said, looking at the woman in front of him again.
If they were just exploring without a clear goal, Asher would also feel uncomfortable. It would likely lead them into danger.
"Right," the Eternal Ice Queen replied in her usual cold tone.
"You just need to follow me and use your powers when I ask you to. If possible, I don’t want you to speak at all unless I ask you to."
"Uhmmm..." Asher could not help but clear his throat when he heard her last sentence.
"Queen, I’m afraid it will be difficult because I have a mouth," he said.
