Capítulo 1227: Excellent News For The Thirsty

Loimos looked over a wide span of Dragonnerie from the top of a newly erected pale tower. The palace of the current Dragonlord was currently sealed, serving as a necromantic chamber from which not only Ronarkatast, but the previous Dragonlords would also emerge as undeads–Previously, they had been raised by necromancy cast by a living, so they had not been in their best form. This time, they would be blessed and consecrated properly.

This would result in the birth of the strongest leadership the continent had ever seen. Not only would they be superior undeads, but Ronarkatast would have the support of five legendary dragons to serve as the regional lord of an entire continent. With Solast acting as a living intermediary, using the backing of the strongest dragons to ever fly amidst these skies… It was safe to say that Dragonnerie would become fully undead territory in little time.

The concealing barrier was still up at the moment, but Loimos was having rotten creations fix the landscapes, hide the corpses, and drain the area of the excess amounts of death force in the air–Soon, the barrier would be removed, and Dragonnerie would look exactly the way it was supposed to look to the living superpowers.

At the moment, no one had actually entered the false recreation of the floating continent… Only flying creatures native to the continent were struck inside the forgery. No spies, no diplomats… If outsiders were around, they were sticking away from the barrier.

This was fine. They wouldn’t notice a thing as the barrier was taken off. To them, everything would appear exactly as it should be… Especially since Loimos was going to provoke a dire storm–Which was common–To conceal any abnormality that might arise during the removal.

The plan had gone exactly as planned. Ronarkatast was definitely powerful–And he had prepared for an eventual confrontation with the undead, having studied life-attribute draconic breaths extensively, and even managed to find a way to momentarily manifest something akin to Devouring Life Force.

…Most definitely an impressive feat that could have theoretically worked against Loimos. Alas, the skeleton had also never ceased to innovate and grow more powerful as well. A little bit of his anathema would never be enough to put him down.

Thus, Loimos achieved victory over the Dragonlord–Something he would have deemed a difficult task to accomplish many years ago. He had once considered the All-Draco to be a being definitely capable of victory.

Unfortunately, Ronarkatast was not THE pure dragon. He was merely A pure dragon–The difference was much larger than mere words such as these could allow one to imagine.

Regardless… Properly taking over Dragonnerie and integrating this new territory without yet allowing others to realise that the continent had fallen to undeath was going to be a lengthy process requiring finesse… Since Loimos was also planning to take care of some other business that required his monitoring, he decided to take over that administrative position himself.

He had asked King Nitok if that was fine, but that was merely a formality. King Nitok, as could be expected, had agreed without delay. Thus, Loimos was–For a limited period of time–Technically the regional lord of Dragonnerie.

Meanwhile, Gravelord Dracula–Who had been acting as the higher-tier diplomat here due to his draconic origins–Would continue to show up like everything was normal, pretending that operations were still going smoothly as normal.

If any other diplomats from other superpowers showed up, then it was no problem either. Loimos was perfectly capable of fooling them. The grasp he currently had upon the continent and its people was not to be underestimated for even a second.

He was in control.

Though there was one thing that he had to take care of now… It was about the gift the Pale Lady had given to him last time–Well, the gift wasn’t directly given to him, but it certainly permitted something unprecedented until now…

Loimos had gathered some intel and performed some observations to make sure that his understanding of the present was correct, and indeed, it was.

Now, he simply needed to announce it to those concerned. It was safe to say–The reactions were going to be strong.

The question was simple, though. What was the gift actually about?

At the very top of the tower, a certain type of room had been arranged that was understandably odd for Loimos to be in. There, he met with the two people he had certainly spent the most time with during his existence. One and Maliah. The pink-blooded vampiress and the Death Dealer.

Two famous figures amidst the Undead Empire, despite having no real ranks attached to their names, were easily recognised all throughout the Empire.

“What’s up?”

Maliah spoke up. Despite what she often claimed, Loimos knew very well that she had very similar ‘ideas’ to One. The assassin was simply incredibly timid about this for some reason, seemingly unwilling to accept that such thoughts were possible to her.

“Mmh… This feels like an unusual room to be placed at the top of a tower…”

One, on the other hand, was perhaps too open about what she wanted. Many of her greatest achievements had been driven by the desire to become something more to Loimos. In fact, many would–Perhaps accurately–Describe her as a lunatic when it came to such matters.

…One wanted nothing more than to be a vessel for Loimos’s undeadlings. Which was a fine thing to aim for, especially considering the potential of such undeadlings. It was simply that Loimos had needed to sort of steer her into the right direction by making her believe that actually advancing her alchemy and focusing on enhancing her vampiric blood would allow her to achieve such a result.

More power could definitely help, but it was actually hard for her to reach the right level of strength where her death force could ‘handle’ his–And that was because Loimos was constantly getting exponentially stronger, therefore pushing the finish line further and further.

The same was true for Maliah in that regard. She was getting stronger constantly, but her rate of enhancement wasn’t enough to catch up to Loimos either. As such, the possibility of Loimos-produced undeadlings had always hinged on another solution than the strength of the undead that was to carry the bundle of melded death force.

The solution was the gift the Pale Lady had dished out. She had given a small blessing to One and Maliah to allow them to safely carry undeadlings from Loimos regardless of the strength difference in death force.

Naturally, now that he had confirmed that the blessing worked in this manner, there was no reason for him to further delay that moment. It wasn’t like Loimos could feel shy about it. If anything, this was a grand moment. Undeadlings born from his death force, and that of either Maliah or One, would definitely result in great undeads once they reached their definitive form.

“The Pale Lady has granted a gift. The two of you are now able to handle Festering Death Force. Meaning that you are now fully capable of carrying undeadlings made from a mixture of my death force with yours”

He explained it in direct terms, and for a few seconds, it frankly looked like the two women had lost a bet with Hynemtopep… They were wholly unresponsive until One slightly glanced toward Maliah.

“…I’m not hearing you say that you don’t want it right now”

“…Shut the fuck up, One. Don’t ruin the moment”

They then both stared directly at the endless darkness within the skeleton’s helm.

“…So… Are we going to…? You know…? Are we going to be able to meet the baculum? The rotten rod? Are there going to be multiple of them at once? I would like it if there were at least three, but I would honestly accept any number above–Will you change your form to something else? I mean, maybe not the first time, but perhaps-”

“What the hell, One? You are even more of a freak than I thought!”

“What? Are you telling me that the idea doesn’t even intrigue you?”

“…Well, I guess it is intriguing, but just saying it aloud, immediately? That’s just freaky. It tells me that you thought long and hard about this”

Loimos took a step forward and placed his palms against their stomachs. 𝕗𝐫𝚎𝗲𝘄𝐞𝕓𝐧𝕠𝘃𝕖𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝚖

“The undeadlings are now formed. It should not take too long for them to manifest, thanks to my Festering Death Force–I took the liberty of adding an excess amount since you two are blessed by the Pale Lady. The undeadlings should have more than enough to develop steadily”

Maliah and One looked down at themselves, and then at Loimos, both simultaneously grabbing an arm of his.

“You can’t do this to me. You can’t just do the thing like this! Please! I will beg you! I will beg you on my hands and knees! I used to be a living. I died a virgin who never even felt the touch of a man! I craved it all my life, and I craved it for all of my death! Please! You are the only man I love! Give it to me! I know you are busy, but surely you can spare five minutes–Three–No, even just one! Just one minute and it will be enough for me!”

…This was a predictable reaction from the vampiress.
