Phoenix Revenge System-Chapter 126: PRS 27 Liona
After being rudely kicked out, not wanting to lose face any further, Lina immediately sped off on her motorcycle, leaving Lika standing there coughing from the dust kicked up by Jumilah’s speeding motorcycle.
"Be careful on the road! Don’t speed!" shouted Lika, waving her hand, but Jumilah was already too far away to hear her.
"Damn it! Crazy woman! Ugh ugh..." Lika coughed and waved her hand in front of her face to clear the dust flying around. Her eyes watered because the dust had gotten into her nose and mouth.
"Where are your manners! You’re leaving like you’re being chased by the devil!" he grumbled again, still coughing.
It’s a good thing he didn’t accept Lina’s offer, otherwise his high blood pressure would have flared up frequently and he might have had a heart attack every time he faced that crazy woman.
"Thank God my head is still sane enough to reject such a crazy offer. How could he think I would sell my own child for money!" she muttered, shaking her head in disbelief.
On the road, Lina rode her motorcycle like a madwoman. Her face was red with anger, her hands gripping the handlebars so tightly that her knuckles turned white.
"That old country woman! How dare she reject my offer! I humbled myself, but she insulted me!" he growled as he sped up his motorcycle.
Fortunately, the roads in the countryside are very quiet because the number of people who own motor vehicles can be counted on one hand, so traffic accidents rarely occur. There are only a few people walking on the side of the road who are startled to see motorcycles speeding by.
"Careful, ma’am!" shouted one of the residents who was almost hit.
But Lina didn’t care. Her mind was filled with anger and the humiliation she had just received.
Brak!
The motorcycle that Jumilah rode was carelessly left in the front yard. It almost fell over because the kickstand was not properly engaged.
With a dark expression, Lina walked in with heavy steps. Each stomp of her feet showed how angry she was at that moment. Her cruel aura made several maids who passed her stop and look down, not daring to look at Lina’s face, which was very frightening when she was angry.
"Good morning, ma’am," greeted one of the maids with a trembling voice.
Lina didn’t answer, she just kept walking with a blank, angry stare.
"Don’t bother me!" she snapped when another maid almost asked a question.
The servants exchanged glances, signaling each other to stay away and not disturb their employer, who was in a dangerous mood.
Once inside the room, she locked the door so no one could come in because she wanted to be alone at that moment. Her hands trembled as she turned the key, holding back her anger that was about to explode.
Lina felt deeply humiliated by Lika’s attitude, which seemed to belittle her. Thirteen years of living as a wealthy lady who was highly respected, where everyone always obeyed her wishes and no one dared to contradict her, made the woman unable to take criticism, so Lika’s harsh words and actions made her furious.
"How could he treat me like that? I humbled myself and came to his house with a favorable offer! And he kicked me out like a beggar!" she fumed as she paced around the room.
"Arghhh!!! That old country woman! How dare she kick me out and spew garbage from her filthy mouth! Who does she think she is? Just a poor country bumpkin who knows nothing!" Lina shouted angrily as she pulled at her own hair.
Lina looked at her reflection in the mirror. Her wavy hair, which she had carefully styled at the salon, now looked like a bird’s nest on a tree, messy and tangled from the wind during the high-speed drive home.
"Look! Look what he’s done to me!" she screamed at her own reflection in the mirror.
The same goes for her face, which looks messy with makeup that has started to smudge due to sweat and street dust. Her mascara, which was once neat, is now clumped at the tips of her eyelashes, her bright red lipstick has faded, and her thick powder looks cracked. The tens of thousands she paid to look stunning are now ruined, making her feel even more frustrated.
"My money! My time! All wasted because of that old woman!" she screamed, staring at her reflection with hatred.
"ARGHHH!!!" teriaknya dengan suara yang memekakkan telinga.
Trang!
The large dressing table mirror in front of her shattered into pieces after Lina threw an expensive perfume bottle at it.
Brak!
Brak!
Jewelry box, comb, lipstick, powder, all thrown brutally onto the floor.
Pearr!
The expensive crystal vase also fell victim to Lina’s anger, smashed to pieces on the floor.
Not only was the dressing table shattered, but everything on it was now scattered across the floor. Glass shards were everywhere, mixed with broken vases, spilled bottles of cosmetics, and scattered jewelry.
Jumilah was like a person possessed, breathing heavily, her eyes bulging with rage. She threw everything she could reach onto the floor until it was destroyed. Her hands moved wildly, grabbing anything nearby.
"I hate it! I hate everything!" she screamed hysterically.
Even the bed was no longer recognizable, the mattress torn apart by his own hands, the cotton filling scattered everywhere after the flimsy stitching came apart. White cotton fluff flew through the air like snow, covering the entire room. The luxurious bedspread with floral patterns was torn off and thrown into the corner of the room. The silk blanket was torn in several places.
The room was destroyed like a shipwreck. Not a single corner was spared from the lady’s wrath.
Her mother, who heard the report from the domestic helper saying that Lina had come home in a state of distress, tried to find out what was going on.
"Mrs. Lina seems very angry, ma’am. Her face turned red and she went straight into her room without saying a word," reported one of the maids with a worried look on her face.
"Oh my God, there must be a big problem," Iyem muttered as she got up from her seat.
But his footsteps stopped when he heard the sound of objects being slammed and several items being thrown, hitting the door and making a loud thud.
BANG! CLANG! HANDS!
The voices continued to echo from inside Lina’s room.
Staring at the door of her eldest daughter’s room, Iyem could only pat her chest and shake her head with a worried look on her face.
"Oh God, my child... why does it have to be like this," she lamented softly.
Lina’s stubbornness never changed, and it even got worse after she got married and had children. When she was a child, Lina would often throw tantrums if she didn’t get her way. But at least she could still be controlled. Now, after years of living as the pampered wife of a rich man, her bad temper has only gotten worse.
"He’s always been stubborn since he was little, but now it’s getting worse. I wonder if it’s the influence of being rich," Iyem muttered again as she continued to stare anxiously at her son’s door.
Her father, who had just returned from the market after selling his wares, heard the noise coming from Jumilah’s room and felt very angry. Sweat was still dampening his clothes after a day of selling under the hot sun, and what he needed now was rest, not this kind of commotion.
"What’s going on? It’s so noisy!" he asked Iyem as he put his shopping bag on the table.
It hadn’t even been a month since her eldest child had returned home, but many things in the house had already been destroyed because whenever she was upset or angry, Lina didn’t hesitate to throw and smash anything nearby. How many vases had been broken, how many plates had been cracked, how many glasses had been smashed. It was all because of Lina’s uncontrollable tantrums.
This made both of his parents start to lose their patience.
"I can’t take it anymore! Every day he destroys something!" grumbled his father as he roughly took off his hat.
"Damn kid! Does she have to wait until everything in this house is destroyed before she realizes it? This is a home, not a place to vent your anger!" her father said sharply, staring at Lina’s bedroom door with bulging eyes.
With a red face and neck muscles straining with anger, the veins in his temples twitching, he walked quickly toward Lina’s room. His steps were heavy and full of rage.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
"Lin, open the door! Can you hear me?!" Yono yelled as he pounded on the door with his big fists.
Getting no response from inside, only the sound of objects being slammed, Yono, who was already emotional, banged on the door even harder. His hands began to hurt, but he didn’t care.
"You damn kid! Get out! Get out now! Stop embarrassing the family!" Yono shouted angrily. His loud voice meant that the neighbors next door could surely hear him.
Seeing that the door was almost damaged by her husband’s pounding, and that the hinges were already starting to come loose, Iyem immediately approached him with hurried steps.
"Stop it, sir! Stop it! Be patient, sir! If you keep banging so hard, you might break the door! Then we’ll lose even more money!" said Iyem as she pulled her husband’s arm away from Lina’s room. Her hands trembled as she pulled her husband, whose muscles were tense with anger.
"How long are you going to keep spoiling that ungrateful child! You always defend him! That’s why he’s like this, spoiled and ungrateful!" said Yono, brushing his wife’s hand away roughly, his eyes wide with anger. His face was red, his breathing heavy.
"Yes, sir, yes... later, when he calms down, I will advise him. I promise I will talk to him firmly this time," replied Iyem, trying to calm her husband’s anger while gently rubbing Tukiran’s arm, hoping her husband would calm down.
"Tell him that if he continues to be stubborn like this, he should just go back to the city and live with his two children and in-laws rather than staying here, embarrassing us and disrupting the household! I don’t need a son who only causes damage and problems!" said Yono firmly, pointing at Jumilah’s bedroom door.
"Sir, don’t be like that. He’s our own child," Iyem persuaded softly. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
"What kind of child doesn’t know manners and doesn’t respect his parents!" Yono replied loudly.
Feeling dizzy and not wanting to deal with the same problem every day, Yono immediately left the house, revved up his motorcycle, and went out to get some fresh air and find a place where he could calm down. He needed some time alone before his anger exploded and he did something he would regret.
"You stubborn fool! We’re both stubborn!" she grumbled as she left the house and slammed the door shut.
Iyem, who saw her husband leave with a red face, hurried back inside and tried to open her eldest daughter’s room with the spare key in her room. Her hands trembled as she searched for the key in the drawer.
"Where’s the key? Oh my God, why is it so hard to find?" she muttered anxiously as she rummaged through the drawer.
Ceklek.
As soon as the door opened, Iyem was shocked to see the room completely destroyed. It looked as if it had just been hit by a tornado. Seeing her eldest daughter curled up in the corner of the room, her body trembling, her clothes torn, her hair disheveled, and her face covered in tears, her heart felt sad even though she was also angry at her daughter’s behavior.
"Oh God, Lin... my child," Iyem muttered sadly.
Patiently, he helped Lina stand up and took her to her room while waiting for her eldest daughter’s room to be cleaned by the maids he had called.
"Slowly... let me help you," said Iyem softly as she guided Lina, who looked weak.
After sitting Lina down on her bed and giving her a glass of water, Iyem looked at her daughter with a questioning gaze.
"Lin, what’s wrong? Why are you so angry? I’m worried," asked Iyem anxiously, rubbing Lina’s back as she continued to sob.
Lina gulped down the water her mother gave her, then looked at her mother with teary eyes.
"Mom, I sacrificed my feelings to follow Dad’s wishes. I married a man I didn’t love. I lived thirteen years of lies, pretending to love my husband when my heart always belonged to Laus," said Lina, her voice trembling.
"Now that my husband has passed away, now that I am finally free, I want to be happy, Mom. I want to experience true love. Please, help your daughter find love again. I beg you, Mom," said Lina, clasping her mother’s hands tightly to ask for her support. Tears continued to flow down her cheeks.
Iyem, who began to grasp the essence of her son’s words, immediately waved her hands, releasing Lina’s grip.
"Aren’t there any other men, Lin, that you still keep hoping for Laus! That man is already married and has four children! Four! Do you want to be their stepmother?" said Iyem, staring sharply at her daughter, hoping she would come to her senses.
"There is no other man, ma’am. There has only ever been Laus in my heart, from the beginning until now. Only him, no one else!" Lina replied firmly, her eyes glistening, causing Iyem’s head to spin instantly.
"Oh my God, Lin, you..." Iyem massaged her throbbing temples.
If only the man Jumilah wanted to marry was not already married, Iyem would have gladly helped make it happen. She would have stepped in to propose to the man on her daughter’s behalf.
But Laus? The man her daughter desired had a wife and four children. Their family life was harmonious and getting better as the business they were currently starting grew. There was no room for Lina to enter.
"Their life is harmonious, Lin. Do you want to destroy someone’s family?" asked Iyem softly.
Seeing her mother remain silent and her face showing disapproval, Lina, who already knew this would happen when she told her parents about her wish, decided to take care of it herself. She didn’t need anyone’s help.
"From now on, Mom and Dad, don’t interfere in my personal affairs anymore! I’m an adult, I know what I want! No matter what, only Laus is worthy of being my husband, and I will never give up on getting him!" said Lina obsessively, her eyes vacant but full of determination.
"Lin, listen to me—" Iyem tried to speak.
"No! You don’t understand how I feel!" Lina interrupted.
Seeing her eldest daughter immediately stand up and leave after saying that in a final tone, Iyem tried to chase after her with hurried steps.
"Lin! Wait, Lin! We’re not done talking yet!" Iyem shouted as she pulled Lina’s hand and turned her eldest daughter to face her.
Lina turned around with an annoyed look on her face.
"What else, Mom! I already told you, don’t interfere in my business anymore! I’m sick of all your advice and prohibitions!" said Lina in a high tone, immediately shaking off her mother’s hand that was holding her roughly, causing Iyem to almost fall.
"Lina! You!" Iyem clutched her aching chest.
"Tell me, what do you want to do now? I need to know your plans!" asked Iyem, a little suspicious, staring into her son’s eyes, which looked different from usual.
Lina stared intently into her mother’s eyes, a strange gleam in her own. A crooked smile formed on her lips.
"If I can’t get Laus peacefully, then I’ll get her in a way that no one will ever expect. By any means necessary, ma’am!" he said with a wide grin, revealing a row of teeth that looked terrifying.
