Playboy: Medical and Martial Master-Chapter 333 - 328: True Dragon Resentful Spirit
Seeing Yao Yuelong's grave expression, Sun Zhe felt uneasy.
After reaching out, taking the mirror from her, and having a look, he was so stunned he nearly leaped off the bed.
"Holy crap, who is this?!"
"Priest Yao, am I… is this what they call Dragon Transformation?"
Yao Yuelong stared at his vertical pupils. "The initial symptoms of Dragon Transformation are changes in the eyes and the appearance of a few dragon scales on the body."
"If your emotions run too high in the future or you receive some kind of shock, the Dragon Qi in your body will spiral out of control and cause you to transform," she continued. "Of course, even if you live a pure life free of desire and stimulus, you will still undergo the transformation over time."
Upon hearing this, Sun Zhe put down the mirror, unable to bear looking at his current demonic appearance. He looked up at Yao Yuelong and asked, "You just said this is a symptom. Does that mean it's a kind of illness?"
Yao Yuelong replied, "Strictly speaking, it's a curse."
She added, "The so-called Dragon Treasure is, in essence, a mass of Dragon Qi that has fused with a True Dragon Resentful Spirit. Although this Dragon Qi can bring you immense power, the price is that the True Dragon Resentful Spirit will take root in your Nascent Soul. It will infect you until you have fully transformed, at which point it will seize control of your body."
Hearing this, Sun Zhe's heart grew even heavier. "Is that how you were infected, too?"
"The way we were infected is different, but the essence of it is the same," Yao Yuelong replied.
Sun Zhe gave a bitter smile. "Then I guess we really are in the same boat."
Yao Yuelong said lightly, "But fortunately, I consummated our union before you absorbed the Dragon Treasure."
Sun Zhe frowned. "What do you mean?"
"Because only the bloodline of your Sun Family can prevent my offspring from being affected by the Dragon Qi and save them from inheriting it from me," Yao Yuelong explained. "I was in a hurry to consummate our union because I wanted to give birth to a Spiritual Child before I fully transform, someone who can protect the Dragon Taming Race for me."
Sun Zhe nodded in understanding. "I get it. You were afraid no one would inherit your legacy, so you wanted a kid to take over your shift. But you couldn't just have one with anyone, so you had to borrow some of my Sun Family's 'little tadpoles'."
Yao Yuelong said earnestly, "The Dragon Taming Race must have a protector. I don't want the next guardian to end up like me."
Sun Zhe wasn't interested in that. "So what should I do now? Can this Dragon Transformation be undone?"
Yao Yuelong lowered her gaze, changing the subject. "What I want to know now is how you stole the Dragon Treasure."
Sun Zhe put on an innocent face. "I really didn't."
Her tone grew heavy, carrying an invisible authority. "Look me in the eyes and say that!"
Sun Zhe looked up to meet her gaze. "I can look at you anywhere you want, and I'll still say the same thing—I really didn't steal the Dragon Treasure."
Yao Yuelong averted her gaze. "You're not lying."
"But I did absorb the Inner Core," Sun Zhe admitted.
"Then how did you get that Inner Core?"
"Alright, this is what happened..."
A short while later, after listening to Sun Zhe's explanation, Yao Yuelong analyzed the situation. "So, it seems 'Red Flame' must have swallowed the thief along with the Dragon Treasure. The treasure was then absorbed inside her body and fused with her Inner Core."
Sun Zhe asked, "Is Red Flame the name of that red snake?"
Yao Yuelong nodded. "She and Black Flame are sister and brother. They're responsible for guarding the ancestral tomb."
"I see."
"So, by absorbing Red Flame's Inner Core, you essentially absorbed the Dragon Treasure," Yao Yuelong said.
Sun Zhe's face was a mask of bitterness. "If I had known from the start, I would have died before I absorbed it."
Yao Yuelong's tone turned slightly cold. "I didn't expect you to be the one who killed Red Flame."
"In that situation, if I hadn't killed her, she would have killed me! Was it wrong for me to defend myself?" Sun Zhe said innocently.
"But it was clearly you people who trespassed on Celestial Prison Mountain without reason."
Sun Zhe muttered under his breath, "Celestial Prison Mountain belongs to Hua Country; it doesn't have the Yao surname. Besides, I just came in to gather some herbs. I didn't destroy the environment or invade anyone's territory. Who knew I'd run into those two damn snakes."
"You..."
Sun Zhe pressed on, "Besides, I'm a descendant of the Guardian Spirit Immortals, and I'm destined to become one myself. Isn't it reasonable for me to familiarize myself with the environment ahead of time?"
Yao Yuelong couldn't be bothered to argue with him and changed the subject. "Sit cross-legged. I will pass a Heart Method on to you."
"What Heart Method?"
Yao Yuelong turned and sat on the edge of the bed, gently kicking off her exquisite embroidered shoes. "The Dragon Taming Heart Method."
"I created this Heart Method. It allows you to control the Dragon Qi in your body to a certain extent. Even after transforming, you can use this method to maintain your sanity and avoid losing control completely. Of course, the degree of control you can achieve depends on the strength of your own Divine Sense."
Sun Zhe scooted over and sat cross-legged. "What do you mean by 'Divine Sense'?"
"You can think of it as your Spiritual Power. Earlier, when your soul left your body and couldn't return, it was essentially because your Divine Sense had fallen into disarray and you'd lost control." 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
Sun Zhe felt a lingering fear. "That really scared the hell out of me..."
"The Late Stage of the Nascent Soul Realm is a threshold," Yao Yuelong said. "Only after a Martial Artist crosses this threshold can they perceive the existence of Divine Sense."
Sun Zhe chuckled. "Speaking of which, I only reached the Late Stage of the Nascent Soul Realm because I digested your Initial Blood Yin Essence."
Hearing this, Yao Yuelong's cheeks flushed slightly. "For a member of the Sun Family," she said softly, "this cultivation speed isn't surprising."
Sun Zhe asked curiously, "What's so special about my Sun Family?"
Yao Yuelong didn't answer. She sat cross-legged opposite him. "Hold out your hands. Our palms facing, fingers interlocked. I'm going to transmit the Heart Method."
Sun Zhe snuck a glance at her neckline and suddenly noticed two faint, raised outlines on the fabric over her chest. At the sight, his mind began to race, and the Yang Qi inside him stirred restlessly.
With the agitation of his Yang Qi, a large tent pitched itself.
"Don't let your mind wander."
Yao Yuelong naturally noticed the tent he was pitching but remained outwardly calm, instructing him before closing her eyes.
"Next, I will transmit the Heart Method using Divine Sense. I will also teach you how to use your Divine Sense."
"Uh, okay," Sun Zhe replied absently, then asked, "By the way, why are you being so good to me?"
"What else would I do? We've already become husband and wife. I am your wife."
"Uh... wow, women from your era really are conservative."
Yao Yuelong shot him a sideways glance but said nothing.
Sun Zhe muttered, "But that marriage certificate wasn't for you and me."
"But someone from your Sun Family still has to repay the debt," Yao Yuelong said. "After all, that was the promise your family made to me."
Sun Zhe shrugged. "Just my luck, being born a Sun."
"Actually, your bloodline is purer than your father's, so the Spiritual Child we conceive should be even stronger."
"That still comes down to chance, doesn't it? Who can say for sure?"
"Alright, no more nonsense. Let's begin."
A long time passed.
Yao Yuelong suddenly opened her eyes, a look of complete helplessness on her face as she looked at Sun Zhe.
"Your mind is always restless. It's wandering again."
Sun Zhe's eyes were now bloodshot and he was drenched in sweat, his breathing heavy. More and more dragon scales were appearing on his body.
"How do you know my mind is wandering? It really isn't."
Yao Yuelong's face was scarlet, though whether from anger or shame was hard to tell. "Our Divine Senses are connected. How could you possibly hide your thoughts from me?"
"Uh... really?"
She snorted coldly, her tone firm. "For the record, I will never wear those... garter belts and black stockings you're thinking about. And what in the world is a 'JK short skirt' with thigh-highs? I've never even heard of such things."
Hearing this, Sun Zhe hastily clapped a hand over his mouth, his eyes wide with disbelief.
"Holy... you can read minds? You really know what I'm thinking?"
Yao Yuelong remained expressionless. "I just told you. Our Divine Senses are connected. I know everything you're thinking."
Sun Zhe scratched his head, smiling awkwardly. "Well, this is embarrassing."
"So, can I know what you're thinking?"
"Of course. But you haven't reached that realm yet."
"You're probably not thinking about anything decent, either," Sun Zhe retorted.
"Stop imagining things," Yao Yuelong said sternly. "Calm your mind and focus. Let's try again."
Sun Zhe sighed in frustration. "I want to, but every time I calm down, my body gets hot."
Yao Yuelong's patience was wearing thin. "You have it backward! It's precisely because your mind is wandering that your body is getting hot. You have to understand that dragons are inherently lecherous creatures. The True Dragon Resentful Spirit in your Nascent Soul is being agitated by your thoughts, which in turn affects you and endlessly magnifies your carnal desires."
Gritting his teeth, Sun Zhe suddenly grabbed her wrist and pulled her into his embrace.
"It's not just the dragon! I, Sun Zhe, am plenty lecherous on my own! If you want me to calm down, then you'll have to let me blow off some steam first!"
Having reached this point, Sun Zhe couldn't be bothered to pretend or hold back any longer. She already knew what was in his mind, so there was no point in faking it. He might as well show her his true colors.
"Ah... don't do this!"
Sun Zhe leaned in and gently bit her soft, fragrant lips. He grinned. "Didn't you just say you're my wife? What's wrong with fulfilling a wife's duties?"
Yao Yuelong let out a silent sigh, her expression full of resignation.
After a brief hesitation, she chose to compromise.
In truth, a part of her also wanted to experience that wondrous, dreamlike, and transcendent feeling once more—that ultimate sense of satisfaction and completion.
"Fine. But... try to be quick."
