Playboy: Medical and Martial Master-Chapter 58: Piano Teacher Lin Shuqing
Sun Zhe had a busy morning.
Fortunately, the free medical check-up was voluntary. It wasn’t mandatory for every teacher and student, otherwise, Sun Zhe really wouldn’t have been able to handle the workload alone.
After finishing work at noon, he stepped out of the dance studio and saw Ye Qiao and Li Shiyan approaching.
"Come on, Dr. Sun, I’ll take you to the cafeteria for a feast," Li Shiyan said, cheerfully running up and hooking her arm through his. She was acting as intimately as a couple deeply in love.
Sun Zhe hurriedly pulled his hand away. "Miss Li, please don’t do that," he said with a dry laugh. "We’re at a school. Aren’t you worried about your reputation?"
Li Shiyan blinked her large, watery eyes and stared at him playfully. "So, does that mean I can do this if we’re not at school?"
Sun Zhe was at a loss for words. "That’s not what I meant. I’m just worried..."
"Worried about what? I’m not afraid!" Li Shiyan suddenly interrupted him, hooking his arm again. "We’re in a proper relationship. I’d like to see who dares to gossip."
Hearing this, Sun Zhe grew anxious. He stole a glance at Ye Qiao, who stood beside them, and said dejectedly, "When have I ever been in a relationship with you? This is completely one-sided on your part."
"Hmph, I don’t care. I’m your girlfriend anyway! Fine, fine, I’m hungry. Let’s hurry and get something to eat!"
Sun Zhe sighed helplessly. This is big trouble. The district chief’s daughter is just too persistent!
Ye Qiao followed along quietly, not uttering a single word. Watching Sun Zhe and Li Shiyan acting so intimately left a sour taste in her mouth.
Sun Zhe naturally knew Ye Qiao was unhappy, so he found an excuse to break free from Li Shiyan’s grasp and kept his distance from her.
When they arrived at the cafeteria, Li Shiyan led them directly to a private dining room on the second floor and ordered a huge spread of food. She knew Sun Zhe had a large appetite from when he had eaten at her home.
"Sun Zhe, you worked hard today. Eat more." Li Shiyan flashed a sweet smile as she placed a large chicken drumstick in his bowl.
"Uh, thanks." 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
Seeing this, Ye Qiao huffed lightly. Not to be outdone, she placed a piece of braised pork in his bowl. "Brother, try this. It’s your favorite braised pork."
Li Shiyan smiled, gazing at Sun Zhe with the adoration of a lover. "Sun Zhe, try this lion’s head meatball. It’s my favorite; I’ve loved it since I was a little girl."
Ye Qiao secretly gritted her teeth. Her sharp eyes darted around before she suddenly reached out and put a helping of stir-fried beef in his bowl. "Brother, you’re still growing. You should eat more beef."
Li Shiyan chuckled, speaking in the tone of an elder. "Sun Zhe, it seems your sister cares a lot about you. But soon, there will be one more person in this world to care for you. Here, I specially ordered this chive and egg pancake for you. Go on, eat it."
Fuming, Ye Qiao stomped her foot under the table. She suddenly picked up the plate of chicken mid-wings and poured the entire thing into his bowl. "Brother, I ordered these wings for you too. You have to finish them all, no wasting, okay?"
Sun Zhe was utterly baffled. He watched the two girls relentlessly pile food into his bowl, one after another, and his world began to turn dark. In just a few moments, a small mountain of food had formed in his bowl, which was now on the verge of overflowing.
"Are you two trying to stuff me to death?"
...
After lunch ended, Sun Zhe bid farewell to the two women and walked back to the dance studio alone, his stomach bulging. He was truly stuffed from the meal. However, taking a nap right after eating so much wasn’t healthy, so he had no choice but to wander around to help with digestion.
His grandfather had taught him to read and write. For someone who had never formally attended school, strolling through such a prestigious university was quite an experience.
During the lunch break, the academic building was empty, giving it a spacious and quiet atmosphere. Sun Zhe wandered around alone, taking in the sights. Suddenly, a beautiful melody caught his attention. Someone was playing the piano.
What piece is this? It’s played so well.
Sun Zhe stopped, closing his eyes to listen intently. The joyful, ethereal tune made him feel as if he had become a bird soaring freely in the vast blue sky. His feet began to move unconsciously, following the sound of the piano.
Soon, he arrived at the entrance of a music classroom. The door was ajar, and as he stood at the entrance, he saw a stunning profile. She had a high-bridged nose, fair skin, a delicate oval face, and clear eyes. Her long, curled eyelashes, silhouetted against the light, possessed a vibrant, artistic beauty, as if they were a masterpiece. At the corner of her eye rested a tiny red mole, like the most breathtaking embellishment on a work of art.
Her graceful figure sat before the piano, exuding an air of endless charm, yet it was her exquisite elegance, tinged with a poignant loneliness and aloofness, that stood out more. A breeze drifting in from the window lifted her fragrant long hair, causing her white dress to flutter.
As he watched, Sun Zhe became mesmerized. He felt as if she were a fairy who had stepped out of a poem, a sprite who had flown out of a painting, someone who did not belong to this mortal world.
He felt no base physical urges or thoughts; the Yang Qi in his body didn’t stir in the slightest. This was a purely spiritual attraction.
I never thought such a rare beauty existed in this world. Sun Zhe swallowed quietly, his eyes wide as he savored the feast for his eyes and ears.
Time passed, drop by drop.
When the piece concluded, the lady in the white dress turned to look at Sun Zhe. Her lips pursed slightly, revealing a gentle smile. Apparently, she had already noticed him.
Sun Zhe’s face flushed with embarrassment. He scratched his head and said, "Although I don’t know anything about music, you play beautifully."
Hearing his simple, direct praise, the lady in the white dress stood up. She raised her slender hands and gestured "thank you" to him in sign language.
Seeing this, Sun Zhe’s heart sank. Don’t tell me this beautiful woman can’t speak...
He then stepped into the classroom. "Excuse me, are you a student or a teacher here?"
The lady in the white dress smiled faintly but didn’t answer. She picked up the bag she had placed to the side and prepared to leave. But in the next moment, she lost her footing in her high heels. Her ankle twisted, and she fell right to the floor.
Startled, Sun Zhe rushed forward to help her up. "Are you alright?"
Her brow furrowed in pain, the lady in the white dress sat on the floor, rubbing her left ankle.
Sun Zhe’s gaze fell on her ankle, which was wrapped in flesh-colored stockings. He secretly activated his Yin Yang X-ray Vision and then said, "You’ve sprained your ankle, but there’s no bone injury. I can help you with a massage, and it should feel better."
With that, he moved to squat in front of her. He took hold of her ankle and covertly circulated his Pure Yang True Qi.
As the True Qi nourished the injury, the woman’s furrowed brow gradually relaxed. She felt a comfortable warmth spreading through her ankle. Her cheeks blushed slightly as she looked down at the large hands massaging her foot.
Sun Zhe, meanwhile, was extremely careful. He held her soft, stocking-clad foot with no trace of impure thoughts, hoping only to use his True Qi to alleviate the beautiful woman’s pain. Letting such a fairy suffer for even a second longer would be a crime.
After a few moments, Sun Zhe helped her to her feet.
The lady in white glanced at the work badge hanging from his neck before taking out her phone. She typed out a sentence for him to read: "I am the piano teacher here, Lin Shuqing."
Sun Zhe replied with a smile, "Hello, Teacher Lin. I’m Sun Zhe, from the Traditional Chinese Medicine department at the People’s Hospital. I’m here today for the free clinic."
Lin Shuqing smiled gently and once again gestured "thank you" in sign language.
Sun Zhe looked up at the stunningly beautiful face before him and inhaled her faint, pleasant fragrance. His face suddenly turned red, and his heart began to race. Because he had just activated his Yin Yang X-ray Vision, he had seen everything.
He had no malicious thoughts, only a profound sense of guilt, as if he had desecrated a fairy.
Suddenly, he frowned. Staring intently at Lin Shuqing’s neck, he said, "Teacher Lin, there’s... something inside your neck."
