Chapter 1367 Uninvited Guests part 3

"...Bankai."

The unknown pressure that directly weighed down on the soul, both Nylara and Drakan already heard about it from the reports. However, they only dismissed it as some idiotic technique that's only utilized by a 'barbarian' who doesn't know the intricacies of Spiritual Power.

Kisuke, Yoruichi, and Aika were all designated as special individuals because they possess and use massive amounts of Spiritual Power that could be shaped into slightly advanced utilization of the power. When this started circulating among the upper echelons of the Etoulde society, some of them mocked them and some felt pity that they were not born as an Etoulde.

A few of them even thought and proposed adopting them into their families, not for any good reason, of course. They only want them around for their 'uniqueness'. A show or a pet in other words.

They already knew about Kisuke's 'Benihime' and Yoruichi's 'Lightning' but there was no one among the Etouldes who doubted that they were only possible in conjunction with their other unique Magic abilities. Considering that Kisuke is the creator of the much sought-after Soul Gears, they thought that the unknown ability called 'Benihime' was only possible because of a very strong prototype that he possessed.

Because this is the first time that they felt a proper release of Reiatsu and that it was coming from Senjumaru who has the amount that is expansive enough to shake the realms, Nylara and Drakan's mind blanked out for a moment.

It was only when they are now in unknown black and saw the area around Senjumaru is engulfed by the same darkness while a torii-like structure rose from the ground.

Emitting iridescent light, the gate expands to form a massive, golden loom and produces endless swathes of red tanmono, one rolls out like a carpet over other, smaller cloths connecting to multiple tapestries looms on the sides with yet more red cloth enveloping the scene akin to a barrier, and more distinctively patterned bolts of cloth hang down from above.

"Shatatsu Karagara Shigarami no Tsuji (Crossing of Sahā's Gate, Kāla's Corpse and Piercing Entanglements)" Senjumaru turned around from them before disappearing from their sight.

Nylara and Drakan immediately panicked, while the latter immediately started lashing out. But as he was about to touch one of the tapestries he realized that he was already alone, "Huh? Nylara!? Where are you!?"

Similar to Drakan, Nylara also panicked a bit when Drakan suddenly disappeared but unlike him, she remained calm because she knew that this wouldn't affect him as long as she was not in the same realm as this ability.

As Drakan further lost his patience, he started sending out shockwaves in all directions with his fist and as he kept going at it, his body also started releasing extreme heat that was akin to a giant fire.

To his surprise and horror, however, the destroyed and burnt tapestries only returned once more, surrounding him the same as before, "Shit! What is this!?"

At that moment, he caught sight of his opponent peering at him from behind the tapestries, "There you are!? Enough with this trickery! Fight me head-on!"

But the same as those detestable tapestries, 'Senjumaru' only returned when 'destroyed'.

"Unravel one hank. Withering roots." The picture of weaving roots from the tapestries took on a real shape and started wrapping around Drakan endlessly, "W-what!?"

He tried breaking away from them and it's actually easy for him because these roots are rotten inside. Drakan finally gained some confidence that the situation was not as dire as he was thinking until he realized that the number of roots never decreased and some of them even started regaining vitality, discarding their rotten state.

'It's only a little bit harder', is what he thought initially and after arriving at this conclusion several times, he realized another terrifying truth.

The body he's proud of started losing mass and as a consequence, strength. It was too late for him to figure out that these strange roots were draining him and without much choice, he exploded and used everything he had to get away while raising his voice, "Nylara! Where are you!? Nylara!"

But the only answer he got was Senjumaru's emotionless voice, "The proud life built on top of rotten corpses. Succumb to the colors that were stolen and feel their grief."

Soon enough, roots started overwhelming Drakan and he could only let out a loud shriek as he became skin and bones.

Not knowing what was happening to Drakan, Nylara kept her calm and just stood in place while watching her ever-changing surroundings, a stark contrast from the former.

'Previously it was blood-colored fabric, but now there's nothing but black and white abstract design. What is this?' Nylara thought to herself.

"Unravel two hanks. Nameless Shadow."

Nylara remained silent while witnessing multiple Senjumaru looking down on her.

The surrounding tapestries then began piling on Nylara but all of them just went through her. However, it didn't stop there as an unknown darkness started swirling around her whole body. It still couldn't touch her but she couldn't risk getting back into the physical realm in an attempt to destroy it.

"Engulfing darkness. Discard them and you shall never know your name again."

And similar to Drakan, Nylara was swallowed by the images on the tapestries.

"...What is that?" Dylan asked after swallowing a mouthful of saliva. He didn't realize that his back was now drenched in sweat.

After Senjumaru released an eye-popping amount of aura, the three men who were watching from afar almost choked.

They don't exactly know what's happening but right now, they are looking at a big ball of red 'yarn' that trapped the three people who are fighting just now.

"That aura... Is it actually on the level of a Transcendent?" Diehauser's father, Dwight Belial asked.

Dieshauser stared at it for a bit before shaking his head, "Her aura may be massive but it didn't have the same oppressive feeling as those who crossed that line. But that doesn't mean she's weak. She may just be on a Super Devil level."

"...I heard that my son-in-law was a reincarnation that originated from another world, but to think he has enough authority to pull someone like that in. At this rate, it might really be possible to oppose Bael's group." Dylan added after a few seconds of contemplation. Since they don't really know Kisuke's standing in his previous world and the girls who went with him were deliberately vague, they could only guess his relationship with their guests.

They thought that they'd be waiting for quite a bit but that soon was proven wrong when the big ball of red 'yarn' began unraveling itself, revealing the three people who were inside it.

While Senjumaru was virtually unscathed, their Etoulde guests were faring so well. In fact, only one of the two is relatively intact.

The visibly stressed Etoulde woman was carrying a withered corpse.

It was unknown what she said before she and the one she was holding disappeared from the Underworld.

'...Why did she let them escape?' Diehauser asked himself and that's also the same for the two men beside him.

Senjumaru, on the other hand, reigned in her Spiritual Pressure and was satisfied while muttering to herself, "Nameless Shadow, huh? That certainly feels familiar. I'm looking forward to it."
