Chapter 325: Chapter 325: I’m Pregnant with Your Child

"Cheng Lu, have you been seeing another woman behind my back?"

Lin Youyou was not adept at holding back her emotions.

When Cheng Lu came out of the bathroom, she grabbed his coat and threw it at him.

Her pregnant belly was prominent as she glared at him with anger.

Cheng Lu had been so annoyed by Zhu Yating during the day that his temper wasn’t as mild as before.

"How could I?"

He bent over to pick up the coat and walked to the coat rack, shook out the coat, and hung it up.

"Why lie to me?"

Lin Youyou had been holding in her frustration with nowhere to vent, and now she saw her opportunity.

"I really haven’t lied to you."

Cheng Lu explained, walking towards Lin Youyou, he reached out to hold her but was pushed away.

"You still say no? This child is what you wanted, and now that you have another woman, you blame me for accusing you unjustly? With such a big belly, do you think this is easy for me?"

Lin Youyou vented her grievances and as she spoke, tears began to fall.

Cheng Lu sighed deeply, no longer wanting to continue explaining.

"What do I need to do for you to believe me? Besides you, I have never had any other woman."

He was tired at heart, pulled open the wardrobe door, found a shirt, and started to put it on.

Lin Youyou just stood there, crying, watching Cheng Lu get dressed.

"Today I’ll sleep at the office, you should rest early. Let’s both calm down."

When faced with problems, avoidance was often his chosen method.

Lin Youyou hurried forward and spread her arms in front of the door, "You’re definitely not going to the company, you’re going to meet that woman. I know you’re still hung up on my past, and that’s why you cheated. I can understand that what happened before was unfair to you, but I can’t accept your deceit."

Pregnant women tend to overthink.

Though Cheng Lu had never mentioned Lin Youyou’s past experiences, her failure to bring them up didn’t mean that they had been completely forgotten.

With this thorn in her heart, she felt more insecure.

"Youyou, please believe me, I really haven’t. Stop overthinking and go to bed early; I have work early tomorrow."

He stepped aside and briskly left through the door.

Once he left, Lin Youyou went back to bed and cried for a good while against the headboard.

She took out her cell phone, wanting to message Cheng Lu.

She wanted to tell him if he didn’t love her anymore, then they should get a divorce.

But she typed the message, then deleted it, over and over again, ultimately not sending anything.

She loved this man deeply, the more she loved, the less secure she felt, especially after the pregnancy as her body changed and her life’s focus shifted to the family.

On the other hand, Cheng Lu was still energetically embroiled in his busy work.

Cheng Lu chose to leave temporarily because he didn’t want Lin Youyou to get overly agitated.

He sat in his car downstairs for a long time, looking up at the lit window, knowing that this was the time he should be by Lin Youyou’s side.

But sometimes, company only leads to more drain on each other.

He didn’t sleep that night and didn’t leave until the light in Lin Youyou’s bedroom was extinguished, only then did he allow himself to close his eyes for a while.

At five twenty in the morning, his cell phone alarm went off punctually.

Cheng Lu drove straight to Chu Garden and when he arrived, Director Zhou was having breakfast.

He waited comfortably in his car, organizing the day’s agenda.

At six forty, Director Zhou left Chu Garden for Nanchen.

In the car, he browsed through emails, both men without conversation.

However, as soon as they arrived at Nanchen’s underground parking lot, they ran into Zhu Yating again.

"Cousin, what a coincidence! Running into you again today."

Zhu Yating emerged from the stairwell, wearing a sleeveless yellow dress exuding youthful charm.

Director Zhou cast a cold glance at Cheng Lu and quickened his pace a bit.

"Miss Zhu, Director Zhou has a meeting to chair shortly, and we need to prepare for it right now."

Zhu Yating pouted her lips.

The implication of Cheng Lu’s words was clear—Director Zhou had no time for her.

But she wasn’t someone to give up easily.

"Hmm, I just wanted to say hello to you, cousin."

She gave herself an out.

Zhou Jin’an entered the elevator, and Zhu Yating forcefully squeezed in as well.

"Cousin, have you ever tried the coffee from this shop? It’s cheap and delicious. I bought two cups today, here, try this one. If you like it, I can buy it for you every day."

As she spoke, she handed one of the coffee cups to Zhou Jin’an.

He didn’t take it, and Cheng Lu did it for Zhou Jin’an.

"I don’t drink coffee. Give it to Assistant Cheng."

Zhou Jin’an’s words were as cold as ice.

Zhu Yating smiled awkwardly, "Then you’re missing out, cousin. Assistant Cheng, try it. Isn’t the coffee from this shop to your liking?"

As she spoke, she winked cunningly at Cheng Lu.

Cheng Lu’s face changed unpredictably as she took the cup and took a small sip.

"It’s not."

He answered neatly and decisively, exactly like Zhou Jin’an.

The two of them had a tacit understanding; they were simply telling Zhu Yating there was no point in wasting her efforts.

But she was clueless.

"Assistant Cheng, you are really humorous."

She extricated herself once again.

When the elevator reached the president’s office floor, the first thing Zhou Jin’an said was, "Call Old Zhang, have this Zhu Yating vanish immediately."

"Yes."

Cheng Lu responded.

Half an hour later, Zhu Yating rushed into Zhou Jin’an’s office.

"Cousin, what exactly did I do wrong? Why are you doing this to me?"

She stood in front of Zhou Jin’an, tears streaming down her face, questioning him with innocence.

After ten minutes, Zhou Jin’an had a meeting, the regular meeting of Nanchen’s senior management.

Zhou Jin’an straightened his clothes and was about to leave, but Zhu Yating was blocking the door, preventing his exit.

"Director Zhang from HR will explain to you."

Zhou Jin’an said as he was about to leave.

But Zhu Yating started to behave hysterically.

"Cousin, I really need this job. I’ll work twice as hard, I promise, and I won’t let you down. Please let me stay," she begged, crying. Seeing Zhou Jin’an unmoved, she knelt before him with a thud.

Just then, the elevator doors opened.

The senior executives of Nanchen filed out one by one.

Everyone looked at the scene before them with astonishment.

Zhou Jin’an’s face instantly turned extremely dark.

"You’re not suitable for this position; I’ve made it clear to you. Cheng Lu, call security," Zhou Jin’an said coldly, dialing Cheng Lu’s number.

Cheng Lu, who was in the meeting room checking the preparations, got the call and immediately rushed over.

"Miss Zhu, please leave immediately," Cheng Lu said.

But as he approached Zhu Yating, she suddenly wrapped her arms around Zhou Jin’an.

"Director Zhou, how can you be so ungrateful? I’m already carrying your child, and now you want to kick me out. Are you still human?"

Immediately, the surroundings were abuzz.

"Miss Zhu, don’t talk nonsense," Cheng Lu said fiercely.

Zhu Yating clung to Zhou Jin’an’s legs, crying out, "Assistant Cheng, wasn’t it you who took me to the hotel that night?"

The executives stood at the elevator entrance, each more embarrassed than the last.

The thing Zhou Jin’an hated most was being falsely accused.

He grabbed Zhu Yating’s hand, trying to pry her away from himself, but she refused to let go.

"Director Zhou, I’m not asking you to marry me, just take pity on me. I’m all alone; please don’t fire me. I’ll do whatever you say, I’ll terminate the pregnancy, I’ll listen to everything you say."
