John barely had time to react. He caught the key Scarlett had tossed his way, his eyes locked onto the professor, who was riding her Salamander straight into the heart of the battle between two Landorus. The sheer velocity of its Dragon Rush was breathtaking.
Not just John—all the researchers stood frozen in shock.
Had Professor Scarlett lost her mind? Was she trying to get herself killed?
These weren't ordinary Pokemon. They were legendary beings locked in combat. Charging into their battlefield was nothing short of suicidal.
But the two Landorus barely acknowledged the intruder. They remained focused on their fight, their clash creating chaos all around. Massive torrents of quicksand spiraled into the air, stretching over a hundred meters wide. The heat emanating from them was unbearable, turning the sky crimson, as if a pillar of fire had erupted toward the heavens. The earth beneath them was on the verge of turning to glass.
Both sandstorms hurtled toward each other, and at their point of collision was the very spot where a space-time rift had just appeared.
Yet Scarlett never hesitated. She surged forward, undeterred.
Just as she was about to be incinerated by the impact of the two sandstorms, she acted. In the final second, Scarlett released her Xatu. The Psychic-type teleported them a thousand meters away, and in an instant, they vanished into the rift before it snapped shut behind them.
The researchers let out a collective breath of relief—but it was short-lived.
Scarlett had entered the space-time rift, but what now?
These rifts were unstable. In just a matter of seconds, they healed themselves, sealing up as if they had never existed.
"Why would Professor Scarlett do that?" John asked, turning to the researchers.
No one had an answer. They exchanged nervous glances, the silence thick with unease.
John looked down at the key Scarlett had thrown him before disappearing. It was just a simple room key—nothing special.

Sighing, he pocketed it. He'd have to contact the professor's mentor back at camp to figure out what was going on.
As he was contemplating his next move, several trainers appeared in the distance, flying toward them at high speed. At the front of the group was Azure.
"What the hell happened here?" Azure called out as he landed.
They must have been drawn in by the battle's sheer scale.
"Two Landorus locked in a battle of the gods," John said, handing over his binoculars.
The moment the trainers heard that, they all grew eager, grabbing binoculars from the researchers to get a closer look at the legendary clash.
"Where's my cousin?" Azure asked casually, still focused on the battle.
John hesitated for a moment before answering. "A space-time rift appeared when the two Landorus clashed. Professor Scarlett... jumped in."
Azure's hands froze. He slowly turned to John, his eyes wide in disbelief. "What?"
"With her strength, she should've been fine," Azure muttered. "Are you telling me she went in willingly?"
John nodded grimly.
"That lunatic..." Azure cursed under his breath before shaking his head. "Did she say anything before she left?"
"She said if she doesn't return within a year, we should ask the principal to go after her."
Azure scoffed. "Of course, she thinks she can pull this crap because the principal has her back. Let's see how she handles things when the principal isn't around anymore."
Despite his words, concern flickered in Azure's expression. He sighed and turned back to John. "Let the principal know. He'll want to hear about this."
"I will," John promised.
"Alright," Azure said, looking over the group. "There's no point staying here. The battle between those two Landorus isn't going to end anytime soon. These fights can last days—weeks, even. Some legends say Groudon and Kyogre shaped the very land and sea through their never-ending battles."
John nodded. "These two might not be on their level, but they're still powerful. Unless something stronger intervenes, they're not stopping."
As if on cue, the ground beneath them trembled violently.
Boom. Boom. Boom.
A massive figure emerged from the shadows of the Mayan Forest. Each step it took sent tremors through the earth. Trees swayed, the ground cracked, and even the Landorus paused their battle to turn toward the approaching titan.
John grabbed a pair of binoculars from one of the researchers and peered into the distance.
Under the moonlight, a colossal creature loomed over the battlefield. Over a hundred meters tall, its white, rock-like body was adorned with black square patterns. Golden markings gleamed on its wrists, shoulders, and head, but what stood out the most were the three pairs of glowing eyes on its chest—one red, one blue, and one silver, all shining like beacons in the dark.
Regigigas.
The Colossal Pokemon. The Titan of the Land.
Myths spoke of how Groudon's rampage had once thrown the world into chaos. It was Regigigas who had used its unimaginable strength to drag entire continents into place, forging the world as it is today.
But what was it doing here?
Was it going to intervene in the battle?
All eyes locked onto Regigigas as it approached the two Landorus. The titan raised its enormous arms, as if preparing to pass judgment.
And then—
SMACK!
A deafening crack echoed through the forest. Even from miles away, the sound of the impact sent a shudder through John's body.
Regigigas had swung both of its titanic arms simultaneously, slapping both Landorus across the sky.
Despite its legendary Slow Start ability, which made it sluggish in battle, the two Landorus didn't even have a chance to dodge. It wasn't that they didn't want to—it was that they couldn't.
The moment Regigigas attacked, an overwhelming force locked them in place. It was as if they were carrying entire mountains on their backs, unable to move even a single finger.
With one devastating blow, Regigigas sent them flying. The Landorus vanished into the distant horizon, their bodies reduced to streaks of light fading into the sky.
Silence fell over the group.
No one spoke. No one moved.
Regigigas, having disposed of the "flies" that had dared disturb its domain, slowly turned away. Without a word, it began its slow march back into the depths of the Mayan Forest, each step shaking the ground beneath it.
John exhaled, lowering his binoculars.
He had just witnessed history.
