Possessed Wolfless: From Rejected to Vengeful Lycans' Queen-Chapter 6: Emergency
Chapter 6 - Emergency
But how could she? Their closeness only made her heart pound harder.
All she could do was hope he wouldn't notice and focus on steadying her breath as instructed.
More than that, the warmth of his hands against her bare skin—one on her back, the other on her stomach—sent a slow, tingling heat through her.
His scent drifted around her, each breath like an intoxicating balm that lulled her nerves into relaxation. The cramps in her abdomen dulled with every inhale.
'What's with this man? How can his hands be this warm... and soft? Do Capital doctors have some strange ability? The only ones capable of something like this are lycans. but...'
She followed his command, inhaling and exhaling, trying not to enjoy the relaxation too much.
Her bite on her lower lip tightened as his palm pressed firmly against her back, while the one on her stomach moved in slow, deliberate circles, coaxing the tension away.
Lethia felt relief when the tight chains twisting her insides seemed to loosen, and the throbbing in her temples faded.
But the sultry demon in her heart worked harder than it should, prodding it to race faster each time his hand moved in slow, soothing circles over her stomach—like the warm embrace of a cloud-soft pillow.
Then, her eyes widened when his hand slipped lower, just beneath her navel.
She gasped as he applied pressure there. Panic flared as his fingers slipped past her trousers, settling on her lower abdomen.
One more inch, and the sultry demon would gladly overwork itself, rousing every nerve at her core.
"Keep your breath steady. The cramps are coming from your uterus, so I need to apply pressure here," he said it as if he were aware of what Lethia's body screamed.
But what made Lethia's mind almost chuckle was how calm his voice remained, his expression unreadable—so clinical that she had no choice but to believe he was, indeed, a doctor.
His hand remained still against her lower abdomen, yet warmth radiated from his touch, seeping into her muscles like the soothing stretch beneath morning sunlight after waking.
A subtle vibration circled through her belly, loosening the tightness in her chest, allowing her to exhale with relief.
Lethia let her eyes flutter shut. Her breath fell into rhythm, steady and calm.
The tight, throbbing pain in her lower abdomen slowly ebbed, replaced by a pulsing thrum that rippled down her spine, over her waist, coiling at her navel before sinking lower—dragging heat to her pelvis.
A shudder overtook her, her lashes fluttering as she teetered between restraint and surrender. Her teeth sank into her lower lip, fingers digging into the car seat.
Her back arched, her body yielding to the sensation, and—
"Aahhh..."
Lethia's eyes flew open, shock tightening around her throat as her own voice rang in her ears. Her hand slapped over her mouth, heat surging to her cheeks.
'Fuck. Did I just moan?'
Her gaze darted to the man in front of her. He didn't so much as flinch, only offering a small, knowing smile—his eyes still fixed on her abdomen.
Lethia's stomach twisted as she realised his hand hadn't moved—yet the sensation she felt said otherwise.
Then why the hell did it feel like the subtlest damn foreplay?
She was amused by the fact that she had moaned from just a touch.
No, it wasn't an ordinary touch.
She had almost forgotten everything that had happened tonight.
Lethia wondered if what her servants whispered among themselves was true, that the best cure for sadness was sex.
Before she could dwell on it longer, he pulled his hands away, adjusting his seat with a quiet ease before reaching for the wheel.
"Looks like the pain's gone now. Your baby's fine. It just startled for a moment because the mother liked to be in live action."
Lethia flinched at the mention of her baby.
Relief washed over her, but a shiver ran down her spine at the same time because this man beside her knew about her pregnancy.
That only confirmed her suspicion. He had to be a werewolf with superpowers. 'Could he be a Lycan?'
Lycans only lived in Ashenhold. They were rare, precious, and nearly extinct—or at least, that was what people in the countryside believed and what the media portrayed.

Born as rulers, they possessed powers far beyond ordinary werewolves, and no one dared to defy them.
Her seat had returned to its upright position, so Lethia straightened, adjusting her clothes where they had ridden up. The whole situation left her feeling awkward.
"You..." She hesitated, unsure of what to say. "Is it even ethical for a doctor to touch his patient without consent?"
"In an emergency, yes."
