Possessing Nothing-Chapter 406: Despair (9)

Please.
His emotions kept exploding outward: Everything he suppressed inside him, everything he felt, without hesitation, without regret. It was almost laughable.
He didn’t even really start yet. And, the more he thought about it, he had endured it longer than Geniella did.
It was so laughable that someone like her could ever talk about how one could never get used to pain.
Stop it, please.
He needed a target for his rage, and there was one trembling in front of his face.
The woman who seemed like a monster without a weakness once upon a time wasn’t a monster anymore.
It was, it was my fault, please…
The monster was Lee Sungmin. A monster who inflicted every imaginable violence and pain on the begging Geniella.
From simple, physical violence to magic, he tried everything. Something that was particularly interesting to see was mental magic
Geniella’s mere presence used to instill fear into those around her, but she had never had her own mind corrupted by anything.
Please… kill me.
Looking at her crying, sobbing, and begging for her death gave him a sense of fulfillment. It was a feeling like this: ‘Finally, I finally did it.’
However, the moon was still in the air, and the night was long. Although he accomplished what he wanted to do, Lee Sungmin didn’t stop. Just as the night had plenty of time left to rule over, he had plenty of things to do to her.
From one point, Geniella stopped begging, but the solution was simple.
When her head flew away, it instantly regenerated, and her broken consciousness returned to its usual state as well.
And he started again, and her screams and begging started again. She didn’t ask him to spare her life because she knew Lee Sungmin would never let her live.
So, she pleaded for her death.
“Kill, kill, kill me. KILL ME!”
Every time, Lee Sungmin would laugh and answer.
“Not yet.”
He thought about the phrase that revenge is pointless.
Inwardly, he was dumbfounded. Pointless? No. It was definitely, definitely not pointless. The memories of the Blood Demon that resided in Lee Sungmin showed resistance to the violence that he was inflicting on Geniella.
He ignored it. And thought of something else.
If Geniella didn’t exist…
If Geniella didn’t exist, his master, the Lord of the Sama Order, would never have gone to the North.
If Geniella didn’t exist, Baek Sogo would never have gotten addicted to Juwon’s poison.
If Geniella didn’t exist, Baek Sogo would never have lost her arm.
If Geniella didn’t exist, Scarlette’s left eye would never have been plucked out.
If Geniella didn’t exist, the Black Dragon’s left arm would never have been cut off.
If Geniella didn’t exist, Lloyd’s right leg would never have been cut off.
If Geniella didn’t exist, the Spear King would never have died.
If Geniella didn’t exist, Osla’s wing would never have been torn, and the Forest of the Fairies would never have been destroyed. Everything that happened in this forest was because Geniella existed.
If Geniella didn’t exist, the world would have been a better place compared to when she existed.
Yes.
If Geniella didn’t exist, Heoju would never have disappeared.
Once again, Geniella slumped down, unresponsive. Lee Sungmin casually cut her head off, but her head regenerated very slowly.
He glanced toward the sky; before he knew it, the night was coming to an end, and dawn was approaching.
Lee Sungmin looked down at his hands… covered entirely in blood.
He casually shook them to clean them a bit and glanced at Geniella, whose head had regenerated fully. Her face, wet with blood, shook uncontrollably.
She was no longer haughty, no longer arrogant.
“…Kill me…”
She just wanted death. How many times had she died… no, the total number of deaths she went through wasn’t that many.
It was the pain of her mind being shattered that surpassed the pain of death. The night was damnably long.
The mana and unlimited regeneration provided by the full moon gave her infinite pain endlessly.
Lee Sungmin looked into Geniella’s dull eyes, thinking about how she was before. The one who laughed and asked if he fell into despair… that Geniella was gone.
The woman who kept asking him to despair had now fallen.
He had whispered to her numerous times.
Nothing you wish for will come true. The future where the Predator of Massacre ran rampant wasn’t fulfilled, and Aine becoming the Predator of Massacre wasn’t fulfilled.
Every time he told her that, he enjoyed watching her body tremble as if she were having a seizure.
“Kill…… now…….”
She wanted to die.
Looking at the moon fading away and the sun peaking over the distance, she thought…
It was unbearably long.
The night was unbearably long. The night that seemed so endless was finally coming to an end. Now, she wouldn’t need to feel any more pain.
But the reason why she wanted to die wasn’t because of the pain.
She couldn’t handle it. The fact that everything that she wanted to happen wouldn’t happen at all.
She couldn’t bring about the Predator of Massacre, and she couldn’t turn Aine into the new Predator of Massacre. She couldn’t even witness the end of this world.
That was why she felt this despair.
That was why she wanted death. If she were dead, she wouldn’t know what would happen in the future.
“What are you thinking about?”
Lee Sungmin looked down at Geniella. As Lee Sung-min’s face came close to her face, Geniella recoiled in fright, pulling her chin back.
She clenched her shaking hands.
He looked into Geniella’s eyes, which were filled with fear.
A formless spear casually appeared in Lee Sungmin’s hand, and he swung it down onto Geniella’s right shoulder. Geniella bit down hard on her lips at the terrible pain.
“Ugh….. ughhh…!”
A groan escaped her tightly sealed lips. The quality of the pain was different from before
Lee Sungmin calmly put more strength into his wrist, and Geniella’s right arm fell off completely.
It did not regenerate.
Geniella gasped for breath and shut her eyes tight.
After a bit more of this… everything will be over.
“Does it not hurt?”
“H…hurts…”
“How are you feeling?”
She did not reply. Lee Sungmin smirked and stabbed her thigh.
Geniella screamed as her body shuddered.
It wasn’t as though he wanted to get an answer that he asked.
He always did what he set out to do.
Last… last one…
After a few more screams, holding back, and shaking, Geniella felt an emptiness where her limbs used to be.
Finally, the formless spear reached Geniella’s chest. Geniella gasped for breath as she looked up at Lee Sungmin.
“Remember.”
Lee Sungmin glanced down and muttered.
“I told you, everything you wish for, anything you wish for, will never come to pass.”
Quit blabbering and just stab me.
Geniella bit down on her lower lip as she hid those words in her heart.
He had no intention of provoking her unnecessarily. Looking into Geniella’s eyes, which were filled with a whirlwind of emotions, Lee Sungmin slowly pushed the spear into her chest.
The spear tip burned into her flesh as it entered. Her mana couldn’t resist, and a gaping hole appeared where her sternum used to be.
Ah. The spear tip reached the heart. It’s piercing, piercing, piercing…
A groan appeared from Geniella’s mouth.
Death was approaching. She had felt death many times until now. In her 700 years of living, she had never died as much as she did tonight.
And, there was nothing after this death.
‘It’s okay…’
No, it wasn’t okay.
I don’t want to die. I wanted to die someday, but I don’t want to die like this…
I don’t want to die. I wanted to see how the Apocalypse would come. But then again…
Why did I want to see that?
“Ah….”
It went through.
With a soft, quick sound, her heart was pierced. And that spear didn’t stop until it pushed all the way out through her back.
PZZZZZT
Purple electricity crackled inside Geniella’s body as the spear disappeared. The pain started to fade away along with her consciousness. Countless emotions rushed past her mind.
It’s…it’s the end…
She didn’t want to die, not like this, where she couldn’t see the end.
However, that didn’t mean she wanted to live either. She was afraid of feeling this kind of pain again. That was scarier than not being able to see the end of the world.
So, she wanted to die.
‘Ah…’
Her consciousness seemed to fade away entirely. She couldn’t feel anything at all. Although she experienced decapitation and her heart exploding multiple times, this ‘real’ death was different from the deaths she had experienced before.
No.
Was it really different?
Her consciousness seemed to be being pricked by electricity. It felt like light was shining in front of her vision, which had only seen darkness after the spear pierced her body.
The first thing she saw was Lee Sungmin’s face, which was right in front of her own.
She tried to scream, but nothing came out. She squirmed, trying to run away, but she couldn’t move at all.
A feeling of helplessness she had never experienced before was gripping Geniella’s body.
“Hmm.”
Lee Sung-min stroked his chin while looking at the marble he held in his hand. He had been worried about whether it would work out well since it was his first time trying it, but it turned out even better than he had expected.
The martial knowledge he gained from reconstructing his memories alongside his master’s and the Blood Demon’s memories was incredible, but the most versatile thing he obtained was…
Dragon Magic. 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
‘I never knew magic could be this convenient, did you?’
He naturally threw a question at Heoju, but a bitter smile arose on his face after remembering a reply would never come. Lee Sungmin gently shook the marble in his hand.
[AH, AHHHHHHH!]
Inside the marble, Geniella’s soul thrashed and screamed. Lee Sungmin shook the marble a bit more, then scratched the surface while sending in more Yokai Energy.
Geniella’s soul started convulsing, and watching that, Lee Sungmin smiled widely.
“I told you.”
He whispered to the soul trapped inside the marble.
“Nothing you wish for will come true.”
During her last moments, Geniella wished for death, so he didn’t kill her. He took her soul from her body and trapped it with Dragon Magic.
As long as the Magic was maintained, Geniella’s soul would never be free. No matter what she did, she would be trapped inside the marble.
“Don’t think too badly of me.”
Lee Sungmin looked at the despairing Geniella inside the marble and laughed.
“Just be glad I didn’t kill you. You might be able to witness the Apocalypse in this form.”
[Stop…! STOP!]
He ignored the screams and completely shut her voice out of his head.
He turned around to see Gemini, collapsed onto her knees, facing him with a blank expression. She felt Geniella’s lifeless body lying limp at Lee Sungmin’s feet, and her soul writhing within the orb Lee Sungmin was holding.
Understanding what had happened, she swallowed hard.
“Why aren’t you running away?”
Lee Sungmin headed toward her as he asked.
“E…even if I run… there’s no point…”
“That’s true.”
Lee Sungmin nodded as he created another formless spear. Gemini’s shoulders shook as she instantly changed her position to kneel in front of him.
“I-I’ll swear it upon my mana. I will- I will never get in your way, ever. I won’t oppose you at all. And, and… please… what do I need to do?”
“You want to live?”
“…Yes…”
Gemini, tears filling her eyes, nodded her head. In his mind, the memories of the Blood Demon twitched.
“Gather all the vampires.”
Lee Sungmin dissipated the spear in his hand.
“The vampires that aren’t allied with Geniella. Since she’s like this, you’ll be the new Vampire Queen.”
“A-and…?”
“Don’t do anything. I won’t tell you to stop drinking blood, but don’t increase your numbers. There’s no need for you guys to be holed up in the North, either. I’ll let you guys keep drinking blood to survive, but… do it in moderation.”
“O-okay, no, I understand.”
Gemini bowed her head and spoke. It was a reasonable amount of sympathy. Geniella had fallen, but that didn’t mean all vampires should follow her path and disappear from this world.
Therefore, it would be best to gather the vampire forces through Gemini and control them within reasonable limits.
‘So…’
Be satisfied with this.
He erased the remnants of memories that were strongly etched in his mind.
The memories of what the Blood Demon felt during the time he traveled with his adopted daughters, Geniella and Gemini.
