President Qin's Little Wife Is The Strongest-Chapter 46
46 Big Bad Wolf
As soon as Rong Yue got back from school, she plopped down on the sofa beside her mom who was knitting while watching some drama.
“Ahhh! I’m so exhausted.” She groaned out earning herself a sympathetic look from her mom.
“Did you guys do any special activity today?” Rong Xia asked carefully not sure if that was the right way to put it.
“Mmmm, my teacher had me teach some juniors some topic during my break and study session time.” She explained while her mom smiled happily.
That meant her daughter was good!
In the dramas she had been watching recently, she had watched some that was also done in school settings and could vaguely understand what it meant to be an outstanding student.
Previously, she knew her child was doing okay and anytime she showed Rong Yue’s result to people, they would usually praise her daughter. But watching the whole school settings and test scenes in dramas made her understand even better.
“It’s only because you are amazing.” She said, simply encouraging her.
More than anything, Rong Yue noticed that her mom watching these things was starting to help her intellect and how to relate to real life things.
.....
Before now, she could understand that her mother was someone that was highly intelligent. She would always find some way to cure someone and would even specially get new herbs.
If not for Rong Yue being careful, she was sure that several people would have used her mom’s reciepes ro make a lot of money by now.
“I’ll go change and shower a bit.” She told her mom as she stood up and went to her room dragging herself like a tired woman.
On the other hand, as soon as Rong Yue entered her room, there was a knock on the main door, startling Rong Xia.
She wasn’t sure if opening the door was the best option, after all, her daughter had forbidden her against it.
After pondering for a while, she finally sat down back and acted like she heard nothing.
Just as she played her movie back, the sound of the door knob turning made the middle aged woman to freeze over, her brain going blank momentarily.
“I suspected that Rong Yue would have told you to not open the door for anyone so I used the code.” Qin Yichen said lazily as he entered the house.
The familiar figure and face finally made Rong Xia to calm down as she patted her chest to ease her heart.
“Next time, you can use this screen here to check who is there, if it’s someone you know and want to see, you can open the door for them.” He explained and then helped her see how to use the peephole that had been designed like a mirror instead.
She nodded in understanding before going to sit down back.
“Does Yue’er know that you are coming?” She asked curiously, after all, her daughter had told her that the man had gone back to the capital which was a far place from here.
“Mmm, I dropped her off at school earlier this morning.” Yichen replied ambiguously making Rong Xia slightly stunned.
The both of them sat in silence with the voices from the TV accompanying them.
Since his men downstairs had told him that Rong Yue was back, he suspected that she was simply changing or resting in her room. After all, he had lived with them for more than a week and already understood what their living habits were.
To not appear suspicious, he decided not to ask also, slowly bidding his time like someone that was here for a wife.
His predictions were right as Rong Yue stepped out some minutes later, her long hair that usually went beyond her waist was now rolled into a relaxed and loose bun on her head while she was putting on a white shorts with an oversized black tee.
The outfit choice made it that the fair of her neck and chest was out for the young man seated to see while also giving him a full view of her long and straight legs.
Having seen so many women in even more seductive styles and attires, Qin Yichen almost cursed out at how stunned he was by the little girl’s appearance.
Instead of being seductive, there was something pulling about the girl, from her appearance to her aura that had a bit of elegance and also warmth.
Like the kind of a girl a man at the peak would want to go back home to meet after a long day.
While he was lost in his thoughts, Rong Yue was also stunned silly from seeing the man causally sitting in their living room and watching her calmly.
“Yue’er! You are here.” Her mother called out, breaking the ambiguous air around them.
“Mmmm... what’s he doing here?” Although she knew he meant no harm, she also felt that it was unsafe if her mom had opened the door for him that easily.
“I used the code when I realized that you must have told her not to open the door for anyone.” He responded instead and his response made Rong Yue feel slightly better.
Thinking that he had evaded the crises, Rong Xia spoke up, “He said you were expecting him and that he had dropped you off at school earlier.” As she said that, her mother glared at her suspiciously with a bit of accusation.
Rong Yue had not expected such an accusatory look from her mother and flushed immediately while shooting a glare at the culprit.
The look in her eyes seemed to say “you just wait! I’ll deal with you later.”
“I saw him.....” before she could explain, Qin Yichen interrupted.
“Mom, I made lunch for the three of us, as a kind of welcoming meal to us being neighbors.” He said politely.
Before allowing either of them to react to the way he had called Rong Xia and the news of them being neighbors, he continued immediately.
“Back when I studied abroad, it’s normal to give the neighbors pie or food to let them know you have moved in.”
“Fvck You!” Rong Yue cursed internally as she looked at that face that was devoid of any emotion or scheme.
Even Rong Xia had forgotten that he called her ‘Mom’ just now and nodded.
“Is it okay that you are moving in here? We have an available room here and since you are already familiar with this place, you can just join us.” Rong Xia suggested feeling like it was a waste of money for them all to be paying for two different apartments.
“No! No! It’s better if he’s there.” Rong Yue exclaimed. She didn’t know why but she just felt like this guy had ulterior motives.
He even dared to call her mother his Mom!
She was burning with anger and already felt like she was being considerate by now chasing him out.
“Yes, Mom, it’s better if I stay there, after all, I’m here for business purposes and I might return late on some nights. Also, this place doesn’t belong to me anymore as I have used it as a repayment of your treatment for me, you don’t have to feel uncomfortable here.” He said tactfully, politely declining and also making her feel comfortable in the house.
He also left a good impression by declining which made Rong Xia pleased.
