Primordial Awakening: I Can Evolve My Skills Infinitely-Chapter 82: Rules of the Battle Realm, The Second World
Chapter 82: Rules of the Battle Realm, The Second World
[Each awakener will face off against a participant from the other world in an arena.]
[The winner will earn "Tokens" that can be exchanged for valuable rewards.]
[If the other awakener dies or gives up voluntarily, they will be disqualified and sent back to their world.]
Sam’s eyes narrowed as he read the message, his thoughts already turning.
’So surrendering means they go back... but if they die, they’re dead for real?’ he murmured to himself, rubbing his chin. ’But then why did Emily say the survival rate for humans was close to zero?’
Were the people from Earth truly that outmatched?
It was hard to believe, but maybe... maybe the other worlds were simply stronger. More developed. More experienced.
Still, there was a silver lining to it all. If you performed well, you were rewarded. And the better you did, the better the rewards.
[The "Battle Realm" will last exactly one week. Each awakener must participate in seven battles—one per day.]
[Those who win all of their matches will receive extraordinary rewards. However, anyone may choose to leave after any match by accepting their current rewards.]
[The first round of battles will begin in one hour. Prepare yourselves.]
It sounded simple on paper, but the reality was brutal.
Each battle had only two outcomes, win or be removed.
And since dying was a very real possibility, most participants would be forced out before the halfway mark. It was a mathematical certainty.
If a hundred thousand people had entered... then by the end of the week, less than a thousand would still remain.
This wasn’t just a tournament. It was a purge. A crucible designed to leave only the most ruthless and powerful standing.
And the worst part?
No one knew anything about the other world’s combatants.
"Maybe they’re similar to us," someone nearby said, nervous. "Same level, same rules... right?"
"I’m leaving after my first match," another muttered. "No way I’m gambling my life for this. I just wanted to see it."
"But the rewards..." a third chimed in, eyes gleaming. "If they’re offering prizes for this level of risk, imagine how powerful they must be."
Speculation spread fast. People whispered in groups, trying to figure out what they were facing—or how soon they could bow out.
Meanwhile, Sam kept silent, watching the panels above fade into nothing.
He turned toward the girls beside him.
"You think you’ll be able to handle it?"
Lily crossed her arms, grinning. "I’ll crush them. I’ve been practicing nonstop, and one of my new skills is even Epic-ranked."
"Got my hands on a Legendary one myself," Alicia said with a faint smirk. "I’ll manage."
Chloe gave a quiet nod. "We didn’t come this far just to give up now."
Sam felt a small wave of relief.
He knew none of them had access to [Forsaken]-rank abilities like he did, he was still the only one with access to [Primordial Evolution], after all, but their progress was impressive.
In the span of a few weeks, they’d become formidable.
Even so, no one really knew what to expect. ƒreewebɳovel.com
The skies were now clear again. All system messages had vanished.
That was it for the rules: one fight a day, only against the other world.
Tokens as a reward. The more wins, the better the prize. The more battles, the higher the risk.
[Hell-Mode Analysis: You feel there may be additional fighting opportunities ahead.]
’Really?’ Sam rolled his eyes internally. ’What a surprise. Shocking, really.’
Still, a part of him was excited.
Meeting people from another world... fighting unknown races...
[Hell-Mode Analysis: They will know who the Primordial is.]
Then, another message flickered briefly.
[Violence outside of the arena is forbidden, for now.]
Just for a moment, and then it disappeared.
Sam squinted.
’For now, huh...’
He didn’t like how ominous that sounded.
Around him, most of the awakeners had already started walking deeper into the [Battle Kingdom], eager to explore their surroundings and, more importantly, get a glimpse of the mysterious otherworlders.
Sam and the girls decided to do the same.
The kingdom itself was massive, large buildings, long stone roads, decorative banners, and plenty of open spaces.
But oddly enough, it was also... empty.
No shopkeepers. No residents. Just awakeners like themselves.
That was until—
[You feel otherworldly presences nearby.]
Sam felt a chill in the air and instantly broke into a run, moving toward the source without hesitation.
"Hey, wait!" Chloe called out, startled.
"Where’s he going?" Alicia asked.
Lily nodded seriously. "If Sam’s reacting like that, he must’ve sensed something. He’s always been sharp."
It didn’t take long, within five minutes, Sam came to a stop at a wide-open courtyard.
And what he saw made him pause.
"Oh."
In front of him stood dozens of figures.
Humanoid. Familiar in posture, build, even their armor.
But their ears were pointed. Slightly longer. Sharper.
They were elves.
Behind him, the three girls caught up, and immediately, the crowd in front of them erupted into noise.
"HOLY SHIT, WE’RE LUCKY!"
"HAHAHAHA! IT’S THE HUMANS!"
"YESSSSS!"
Cheers and laughter rang out from the group of elves as soon as they saw Sam and the girls approach.
Sam’s face remained neutral as he scanned them. But inside, he was thinking.
’So... that’s one of the other races.’ His eyes narrowed. ’Elves. And if they’re one world... then maybe the other five also have others races.’
But what stuck with him wasn’t their appearance. It was their joy.
They were happy to see humans.
"Thank the gods," one burly elf sighed, "I didn’t want to go against the angels or dragons. We got the weakest ones."
"Yeah," another laughed. "Our world’s gonna dominate this event."
Sam frowned slightly and stepped forward.
"What do you mean by that?"
That simple question made the elves pause. A few blinked, confused. One of them tilted his head.
"Wait, does he not know?"
"I don’t like his aura," another muttered. "He’s weird."
"He’s just a human," someone else scoffed. "No need to be scared. He’ll vanish like the rest."
Sam activated [Void Watcher], his eyes glowing faintly.
[Void Watcher: These beings are relieved to face humans. They believe it gives them a higher chance of survival. They consider humans to be the weakest race.]
"Huh."
That told him everything he needed to know.
He didn’t know how much stronger the other worlds were. Or any of the races from these other worlds. But what he did know now was that humanity was at the bottom.
"The reason’s simple," a new voice spoke.
A blonde-haired elf woman stepped through the crowd.
She wore white and gold robes, adorned with sacred symbols. A glowing scepter floated in one hand, and she smiled gently at Sam.
"Your world is the least developed when it comes to the [Forsaken] realm, and thus in overall power."
"Yeah!" someone behind her shouted. "You guys are dragging the rest of us down!"
Sam’s gaze didn’t waver. If anything, his expression grew colder.
There was more to this than he understood. Far more. Still, he remained composed.
"We’re on the Fourth Layer," he said calmly. "What about you?"
The group burst into laughter again. Dozens of elves chuckled or outright howled with amusement.
The blonde woman, however, waved them down, her expression mildly annoyed.
"Don’t mind them," she said softly. "They’re just surprised. It’s... like they said. Your world is a bit behind the others."
[Void Watcher: She has no ill intent and speaks honestly, but considers you weak.]
Sam tilted his head, studying her.
Still smiling, she added, "But that’s alright. You’ll grow... if you survive."
Sam’s lips curved upward slowly.
"I’m curious," he said. "Just how advanced are you and the other worlds?"
The woman smiled back, her expression unreadable.
And as Sam looked at her, and the dozens of elves behind her, cheering, laughing, confident in their superiority, he felt something rise in his chest.
A quiet, simmering certainty.
’This is just the beginning, isn’t it.’
[Remember, ANY of those in our way, no matter who.]
Sam nodded, he was thinking about this too.
