The Bloodvein Tribe is one of the three major tribes in the Dark Region. There are seven tribes in total, but three rule over the rest. The Bloodvein rule over two minor tribes, while the other two have one each.

They are located in the western part of the Dead Region, and while they have lived there for thousands of years, nobody from the outside world knows who they are, simply because no one ever makes it out of there alive.

The Dead Region is one of the many places in the universe that just doesn't make any sense. The people in the Bloodvein Tribe are red-skinned and have red eyes, making them resonate with their affinity for blood.

In the Bloodvein Tribe, there are thousands of inhabitants with only one tribe chief and three elders who see to it that matters of the tribe are handled.

However, while they may be more limited than the world outside, their strength cannot be ignored. Regardless of age, every last one has the means to protect themselves when outside their tribe.

They were the strongest tribe in the Dead Region until a month ago, when something happened. Their hunters, who went out to hunt in a neutral region, never returned.

After conducting an investigation, it was discovered that the Dreadclaw Tribe and Soulshroud Tribe were responsible.

Naturally, if only one tribe had been involved, the Bloodvein Tribe would have retaliated. However, this time, it was both of the other major tribes that came together to commit such a crime.

But it didn't stop there. Over the past week, this new alliance went ahead and destroyed businesses owned by the Bloodvein Tribe.

They tried to retaliate, but the odds they were up against weren't something they could easily face. So they held back, trying their best to negotiate, even going as far as offering a portion of their domain to appease the wrath of the two tribes.

However, in response to their offer, the alliance of the two tribes went ahead and used nefarious means to pull the minor tribes that were under the Bloodvein Tribe.

The Bloodvein Tribe became powerless against all this simply because, while they were the strongest, they couldn't go against the combined force of the two major tribes and now four tribes.

Naturally, the Bloodveins suspected their strength wasn't coming only from their combined force.

Something else made them bold, which in this case made the Bloodveins hesitate from retaliating despite their odds stacked too large against them.

Then, two weeks ago, they received a declaration of war from the alliance of the two major and four minor tribes.

They demand two things: the most valuable and beautiful item of the Bloodvein Tribe.

The Blood Heart Stone and the daughter of the tribe chief.

Their terms were clear and precise. Failure to meet these demands means they choose death, and as such, they will invade in a week.

This caused them to close their borders, and for the past two weeks, they have been waiting for the tribe chief to decide.

Their demands wasnt something the Bloodveins would give freely. They would die first before even considering it.

The Blood Heart Stone holds the fate of the entire tribe. Handing it over to the alliance would be akin to letting them brand the tribe with slave marks.

Then there's the matter of them asking for the daughter of the tribe chief. That demand was nothing more than a humiliation tactic—they simply wanted to turn her into a plaything.

Naturally, the alliance had no intention of letting them live in peace, even after getting what they wanted. So, the plan for the past two weeks had been to prepare for war, which they had been doing all along.

Kent, of course, knew nothing of this. His mission was to help handle the extinction event about to befall the Bloodvein Tribe.

Now flying at top speed toward the Bloodvein Tribe's domain was Kent.

"I'm almost there. I'd better walk from here before they think I'm an intruder," he said, coming to a stop in a valley filled with plants that had red leaves and bark.

"This place is beautiful." Looking at the overwhelming redness everywhere, he couldn't help but admire its unique beauty.

One would expect red only to convey danger, but this was far from that. The red this time was portraying beauty.

He started moving forward, keeping his senses sharp and spread out.

After learning Chaos Qi, his senses could now stretch as far as 50 miles in all directions—and when focused in one direction, he could see up to 100 miles ahead.

He didn't know if this was due to the Chaos Qi in the air, but at that moment, he was at the peak of his power and loving it.

After moving about ten miles, he stopped when he sensed five figures two miles ahead.

"Judging by their auras and the way they're standing, I would say they are on the lookout for something," Kent concluded.

All five were Peak Root Sovereigns, with auras that surpassed even kingdom protectors by several degrees.

"The moment I enter the one-mile radius, they'll sense me—and since I can't kill them, I must make this as peaceful as possible. Of course, if they try anything stupid, I can just shut them up."

He started walking forward again, but this time with an air of calm. He didn't want to rile them up.

Like he predicted, when he stepped within a one-mile radius, the five figures noticed him. As if they already wanted him dead, all five locked onto him with their auras before flying toward him.

"An intruder. Inform the Chief!" one of them shouted. And before Kent could even respond or introduce himself, four powerful attacks were already hurtling toward him.

"Oh, come on," he muttered as he jumped back, pushed away by the explosion caused by the attacks.

"Wait! I am—" Kent tried to approach things the easy way, but the four attackers didn't allow it. They lunged forward. Three were swordsmen, and the other two wielded staffs—clearly mages.

The three swordsmen unleashed their skills. One swung his sword, summoning a large snake made of sword qi, tinged with a touch of chaos energy that Kent immediately sensed.

The second conjured dozens of energy swords with a single swing, and the last unleashed a flurry of sword arcs—each as sharp and deadly as the next.

"These idiots..."

Kent dodged two of the attacks, but the snake landed on him, knocking him back. Thankfully, his clothes were made from a divine item, so the attack didn't harm him physically.

Inwardly, however, something profound happened.

'Well, fuck me sideways,' a smile crept onto his face as he watched this unfold...
