...

"Actually, there’s no need to worry. I want to go, Mom, Dad. I want to help the family." Kranos voice was calm, his expression steady.

Anna looked at kranos wth a worried expression on her face. She frowned staring at kranos the gradually shook her head.

At this raphael felt exasperated. "Anna, he’s been out for years, he must have encountered all sorts of danger. Letting him handle a little more would mean nothing."

Anna once more turned and glared at raphael.

"Exactly because he hadnt been home for years, is the reason we cant let him go out so soon. He should rest for a bit." she explained.

Raphael was speechless, and didn’t know what to say.

He could only fall silent and stare at kranos. Now the discussion was left to kranos and his mother.

If she decided to let him go, then that was fine too, but if she didn’t? It was okay as well. He couldn’t be concerned.

Old man don by the side was silent as well, not interfering with the discussion of the two.

Kranos sighed then gradually convinced hismother to let him go. After a long while of back and forth discussion, his mother finally decided to let kranos take on the mission of handling the demons.

Kranos thought for a bit then said, "dad, mom, is it okay if we keep this a secret for now till i come back?"

Recalling that tehre was still the mastermind in the palace kranos was very cautious of encountering his fourth death.

He couldn’t misuse the soul nourishing fruit in his hands. If he had other soul treasures at the same level he could consider doing so but at least not for now.

Raphael thought for a moment before nodding.

Anna sighed and seemed as though she wanted to say something but ultimately fell silent.

Kranos just cast her a warm, reasuring smile.

"Do i set out now?" he asked curiously.

Immediately anna shook her head. "Of course not! You will have to rest for a week, and also learn about hte location of the mana stone mountain before heading there."

Kranos felt her decision made sense and he nodded.

"Let me go and quickly prepare a meal for us." anna said and handed kranos the cat the hurrried to the kitchen.

Raphael cast old man don a glance and they both vanished leaving kranos with the cat.

Kranos scratched his nose awkwardly. The cat just rolled its eyes then slapped kranos with its paw.

"Old man, what the hell are you thinking? Are you still recovering from being a sore loser?" the cat smirked.

Kranos was exasperated. He couldn’t help but slap the cat lightly on its head. How troublesome.

The cat’s eyes flashed for a moment as thoguth it was thinking of something, after some hesitation it decided not to state its thoughts aloud and instead asked.

"How about we go and check on the transmigrated anomaly? Knowing anomalies he should be thinking of how to escape now." the cat suggested.

Kranos eyes immediately widened in realisation.

His figure blurred and vanished, heading in the location of the guards from before.

...

After a little while kranos had finally reached the location of the guards. Glancing at the familiar guard that had discussed with him before kranos approached him with a small smile on his face.

Seeing the young master the guard imediately put up a respectful expression on his face, the other guards became stern as they called out almost simulteanously.

"Young master!" kranos glanced at them and just nodded slightly then turned in the direction of the guard from before.

"I want to check on the young man i handed over to you previously. Has he woken up?" kranos asked curiouusly, raising an eyebrow.

The guard was slightly startled then a light of understand flashed in his eyees.

"Young master perhaps thereis something wrong, he hasnt been able to woake u p for a while/ we have assigned the healers to warch over him and heal him, as well as ensuring that he doesnt leave the premisis.

Kranos nodded and stepped into the room and noticed the anomaly glancing around. His mind in a daxe as though he was studyign something. The moment kranos stepped in it seemed as though the man sensed him and he immediately raised his eyes to glance at kranos.

Kranos smiled faintly, "how do you feel?"

The man hesitated briefly then said evenly, "like a prisonner."

’To think i will have the most pitiful transmigration begining in all of transmigration history.’ his thought drifted slightly.

Kranos smile receeded slightly as he studied the man. ’It seems he is perfectly fine. There are no after effects frombeing in such a state for a logn time...’

After analysing the man’s condition kranos curiously stared at the man. "What about your golden finger?"

"Still hasnt awakened," the man replied.

Kranos didn’t know whether he was lying as the man seemed to completely hide his emotions. He paused for a few minutes before stating plainly, "when it awakens, send for someone to call me,"

With that he walked out of the room. The man glanced at the youth with silver hair and eyes and felt a chill crawl down his spine. A shiver ran down his spine as his thought moved swiftly.

’My luck is really horrible, for me to encounter such a monster the moment i transmigrate. Dammit!’ as he cursed a low chime resounded in his mind.

[ding! Host, the system is here to cure all your worries...]

The moment he heard this voice in hsi mind, his eyes widened in alarm. ’It is really here! My system has truly awaken! Haha, brat, just wait, this daddy will quickly grow stronger and show you what it means to be a true cultivator!’ he grinned repeatedly as he supressed his excitement apearing normal on the outside.

Internally hwoever he quickly pulled up the system panel.

’Quick, system tell me your effects and how you can help me achieve an unparrelled level of strength.’

...

Meanwhile, krnaos stepped out of the room and glanced around briefly before he began walking back home. He glanced curiously at the little cat who was walking beside him...

"Did you sense anythign wrong with him? Was he lying?"

The cat rolled its eyes, "how will i be able to tell that? Its not as if im some sort of deity..." it raised its paws and seemed as though it wanted to smack kranso but without cultivation it couldn’t move freely in the air. The little creature let out a slight snort and brought it down.

Kranos chuckled at the little creature’s antics, "of course you should know something. Arent you different from ordinary creatures?"

The cat fell silent for abit then replied, "you are right. Unfortunately i didn’t sense any abnormalities with him, i think we should just keep an eye on him for now."

The cat changed the topic and asked, "how prepared are you to handle the demons?"

Hearing his words kranos froxe in his footsteps. Noticing this the cat paused, "why are you stopping?"

"Hah, youre asking about my welfare, so you actually care?"

The cat rolled its eyes and no longer seemed curious about the answer. Kranos didn’t mind and answered anyway.

"It should be a problem with my... uh, uniqueness." although they were communicating mentally, kranos still didn’t like revealing the fact that he was a time cultivator aloud.

The cat shrugged and didn’t reply kranos, treating his words as air.

Kranos laughted lightly as the two continued on their way. They were heading back to the house to have their meal.

’By now mother should be done cooking,’ kranos muttered internally.

As tehy walked he couldn’t help but glance around. There were a few injured soldiers being rushed on flying mats, taken to be treated by those with healing affinity.

There were others with severed limbs, pale complexions and varying degrees of facial expressions.

’The war with the calamity is really taking a toll on everyone huh?’ kranos mummured internally as he moved his gaxe away from them.

The cat also noticed kranos gaxe, however it didn’t seem bothered by the site, ’these are things you have to get used to, with time you will become indifferent to them as well...’

Kranos heard the cats words and his silver eyes showed a slight trace of emotion. He knew the cat was right.

However...

Staring at the little creature kranos couldn’t imagine what kind of horrors the creature had experience over thecountless years it had lived.

"I knwo that this isnt your true form, i wonder how your true form actually looks like..." kranos voiced out his curiousity.

The cat laughed, and surprisingly it answered, "after being schemed against by the celestial court, ive lost my true form, however back them... i could devour immortal worlds in theblink of an eye, same with divine worlds. If i can recultivate i will be able to regain my previous strength..."

Kranos was curious about the cat’s words, "didn’t taht court sever your path of immortality?" he asked curiously.

The cat seemed to let out a wry smile, "of course the court severed my path of cultivation, making me unable to cultivate, i’m thinking of something in the mean time. I should be able to regain my strength soon,’

Kranos could sense a trace of determination emanating from the cat. He smiled faintly...

’How interesting.’
