Prosperous Marriage: Married to My Brother-in-law-Chapter 741 - 740 The Truth That Can’t Be Concealed (3)_1
"Ivan, you and Billy stay put; Daddy will come to pick you up right away." Having just instructed his men to help find Adele, Glades received a call from his son. Phone in hand, he walked out of the Main House towards the parking lot, giving instructions to his son all the while.
Noah Reyes must have taken people to look for Adele.
That fellow truly cares about his sister. He might not want to admit it, but he can't deny it.
What does it signify when a man cares so deeply for a woman he's only encountered once, whose name he doesn't even know? How could Glades Horne, so well-versed in the joys of love, not understand?
"Okay," Ivan Horne replied to his father, his single word concise and firm.
Outside the Pub Blue Moon, Adele Horne was still asleep. She had no idea that her being drunk and asleep in her car was causing her family to worry, nor that it was making Noah Reyes frantic, fearing something terrible had happened to her.
Sleeping slumped over the steering wheel was tiring, so she had unconsciously slid down onto the car seat, lying there instead.
Although the car window was half open, one couldn't see her lying asleep inside unless they came close.
Noah Reyes found the Pub Blue Moon.
Glades Horne's men also reported that Adele Horne's car had been found outside the Pub Blue Moon. Glades Horne instructed his men to stand down. With Noah Reyes on the case, he had nothing left to worry about.
It was strange how two people who were in opposition could trust each other so quickly.
From a distance, Noah Reyes spotted the BMW parked outside the pub—it was Adele Horne's car, a vehicle he'd recognize even if it were reduced to ashes.
SCREECH— His car skidded to a halt beside the BMW. Noah Reyes leaped from the car and hurried to the BMW. Peering through the partially open window, he saw Adele Horne asleep inside, and his racing heart finally calmed.
But then he became furious again.
This damn woman! How dare she fall asleep right in front of a pub with the window rolled down? Doesn't she realize how dangerous that is? What if someone with malicious intent reached through that open window, unlocked the door, and abducted her?
But fury was one thing; seeing Adele Horne sleeping, Noah Reyes still gently reached into the car, carefully opened the door, and leaned inside.
The smell of alcohol was overwhelming.
She had drunk a lot!
Noah Reyes's eyes darkened further, his rage escalating to an explosive point. But she was so deeply asleep from the alcohol; even if he did explode, it probably wouldn't wake her!
He lifted Adele Horne, moved her to the passenger seat, fastened her seatbelt, and closed the car door. Then, Noah Reyes drove the BMW away from the Pub Blue Moon with Adele inside, Deon Myers and the others following closely.
The BMW initially headed towards the Golden Kirin Garden. Halfway there, however, Noah Reyes suddenly changed direction, turning back towards Nameless Manor.
The silver Rolls-Royce pulled up at the entrance of Nameless Manor.
Seeing an approaching car, four men in black instantly materialized from the shadows.
Hearing the car, Ivan Horne and Jimmy Horne both ran out of the house. Overjoyed at the sight of the familiar Rolls-Royce, they sprinted towards the entrance.
"Young Master."
Florence Ford, who had been pacing before the house entrance, instinctively followed. Her immediate impulse was to protect the Young Master.
"Young Master." Seeing Glades Horne alight from the car, the four men in black quickly blocked Jimmy Horne's path. Their Master was absent; they couldn't let Mr. Horne take the Young Master.
From the other side of the gate, Glades Horne's cold gaze swept over the four men in black. "Open the gate!" he commanded icily.
Even Noah Reyes wouldn't dare bar my way now. Do these mere underlings have the audacity?
"Move aside! Who are you calling Young Master? I want to go home!" Jimmy Horne retorted.
The four men in black exchanged uneasy glances. Faced with Glades Horne's frigid stare and sensing his simmering anger, which threatened to erupt at any moment, they hesitated. They didn't want to open the gate, but...
Glades Horne pulled out his phone, dialed Noah Reyes's number, and said in a low, cold voice, "Noah Reyes, if you want a family reunion, tell your men to open this gate immediately!" These people, they won't budge without a threat!
「One minute later.」
The manor gates swung open. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
Ivan Horne and Jimmy Horne swaggered out of Nameless Manor and got into Glades Horne's car.
Glades Horne tossed a final remark to the men in black, "Tell your Master to send my sister back to the Horne Family. If he dares use this as an excuse to bring my sister here, he'll live to regret it!"
After saying that, the Rolls-Royce drove off, quickly fading into the night.
Florence Ford watched all this in astonishment.
That tall man... he possessed an oppressive aura identical to their Master's. Who could he be?
During the drive, the two little ones smugly recounted their 'masterpieces' from Nameless Manor to Glades Horne.
After hearing about their 'feats,' Glades Horne couldn't help but chuckle.
So, Noah Reyes, you've finally experienced what these little ones are capable of, eh?
Still, Noah Reyes's tolerance for the two little rascals did touch him somewhat.
If Ivan Horne wreaked havoc at home the way he had at Nameless Manor, even he would struggle to contain his anger, let alone Julia, who was quite strict with their son.
Upon returning to the Horne Family residence, Glades instructed the nannies to take the two little ones to their rooms to bathe.
「On the second floor.」
Julia, in her nightgown, sat on the sofa in the antechamber, a laptop resting on her crossed legs as she typed.
Hearing the sounds from downstairs and realizing Glades had brought their sons back, she quickly placed her laptop on the coffee table and headed for the door, bumping into Glades Horne, who was just about to enter his room.
"Julia."
"Are Ivan and Jimmy all right?" Julia asked anxiously, gripping Glades's arm.
"What could happen to them at Noah Reyes's place?" Glades Horne chuckled. Seeing his smile, Julia couldn't resist asking, "They didn't pull any major pranks on Noah Reyes, did they?" Those two little ones were sharp as tacks; their mischief could sometimes be truly unnerving.
Glades Horne just smiled.
"They really did? How bad was it?" Julia also laughed, her face alight with excitement, as if she'd been part of the prank herself.
Looking at her, Glades Horne affectionately tapped her nose. "Our sons are four years old, and you're still such a child. What's this? Feeling envious? Tempted? Want to join in the fun too?"
Julia touched her nose, smiling. "I did want to join in. Too bad Noah Reyes didn't invite me for dinner."
Glades Horne chuckled, a mix of amusement and exasperation.
He pulled her into the room, a playful glint in his eyes, deciding to "deal with her" thoroughly.
His sons were back, and as for Adele... he no longer needed to worry about her.
