Prosperous Marriage: Married to My Brother-in-law-Chapter 809 - 807
Camila Ruiz slid off the bed, and Jimmy Horne immediately pulled her along, quickly and quietly leaving the room. Finn was still coiled up in front of the room, its snake eyes looking particularly terrifying in the night.
Finn seemed to know what was going on, not making any noise.
Out of the room, Jimmy Horne leaned against the wall by the door and sat down, pulling Camila Ruiz to sit down as well.
Camila Ruiz raised an eyebrow, what did he mean by this?
Digging her up from bed in the middle of the night, taking her outside the room, and letting her sit in front of the room with him, spending the rest of the night face-to-face with a big python?
Camila Ruiz was about to ask, when suddenly there was a muttered curse from inside the room, a voice filled with extreme anger.
She was taken aback, the voice sounded familiar, and after a moment of hard thinking, she realized whose voice it was—it was Kay Kennal's.
Turning to Jimmy Horne, he winked at her, then comfortably pulled her to lean on his shoulder, saying softly, "We're safe now, sleep."
Those guys wouldn't come in through the front door because Finn was guarding it.
He had dug her up from bed and sat against the wall in front of the room. Even if they slept until noon sun high, no one would be able to harm them.
If he couldn't figure out what those old guys were planning, he wouldn't be Jimmy Horne.
Seeing Camila as his weakness and thinking about taking her out, no way!
If he wasn't confident in protecting Camila, he wouldn't have forced Oscar Evans and Iceberg No. 1 to bring her here.
"Why?"
Camila Ruiz looked up.
And then both of them stiffened.
"You just sleep over here, I'll go sit at the stairway, Finn, keep your position." Jimmy Horne came to his senses, giving low orders, then he moved to sit at the stairway leading to the third floor, together with Finn forming a protective wall, guarding Camila Ruiz in between.
Camila Ruiz wasn't sleepy now, even if her eyelids felt as heavy as lead, she couldn't fall asleep.
She was full of confusion.
Why did Kay Kennal sneak into her room in the middle of the night?
And he came in through the window. With Finn guarding the front, Kay Kennal could only enter through the window.
Was he trying to kill her or thinking...?
Out of instinct, Camila Ruiz hugged her knees tightly, realizing belatedly that there were no other women here besides herself.
"He wants to kill you!"
Jimmy Horne, though sitting at the stairway, noticed her confusion.
He uttered softly, but the words chilled Camila Ruiz to the bone.
Not only did these people want to kill Jimmy, but they wouldn't spare her either?
God, what kind of training was this?
"Go to sleep now, there might be more thrilling activities tomorrow." Jimmy Horne smiled faintly.
He was used to nights where danger crept in, needing to hide away for safety.
When Noah Reyes was still the young master, he never stayed in one place for more than a week, using countless substitutes, likely honed during elite training at the base.
Jimmy Horne finished speaking, then unabashedly laid down on the stairs, not caring whether they were clean and promptly fell asleep.
Originally unable to sleep, seeing him asleep, Camila Ruiz struggled for a while and leaned against the wall, lost herself in dreams again.
The next day, the sky was clear, offering perfect sunny weather.
Horne Family.
Deep into the night, Ivan Horne had just returned from the Ruiz Family, still in a dream state when receiving a call from Uncle Eng.
"Young Master, the little beauty is here, she says she wants to see you."
Ivan Horne slightly opened his eyes, lazily holding the phone, his cool voice tinged with weariness: "Little beauty? Who is that, I don't know. Let her go." He said and intended to hang up.
Despite being a high school senior, his handsome appearance coupled with being the eldest grandson of the Horne Family made him quite the catch, adored by many girls, including beauties.
Upon hearing Uncle Eng's report, he thought it was just one of those infatuated girls.
"Young Master, it's Miss Florence Ford." Uncle Eng quickly explained.
After a decade apart, Florence Ford had found her way here, nearly unrecognized by Uncle Eng, thinking the young master would remember Florence since she had been one of Jimmy's and his childhood companions.
"Don't remember, just send her back from wherever she came. I'm tired; unless the sky is falling, don't bother me." Ivan Horne didn't think twice and hung up.
Florence Ford, a little beauty?
Sounded familiar, but he couldn't place it, didn't care to remember; it was irrelevant to him.
After hanging up, Ivan Horne pulled the thin blanket over and went back to sleep.
Outside the Horne Family villa, a beautiful young girl in a pristine white dress stood at the front. She had lovely almond-shaped eyes, a perfectly flawless face, rosy lips, long hair tied at the back, reaching her waist at a height of one hundred and fifty-eight centimeters, appearing tall and slender due to her slight frame. She was a beauty, from head to toe, with the only flaw being her nose wasn't as pretty and raised as Camila Ruiz's, slightly flat.
Florence Ford saw Uncle Eng put down the phone, immediately asking politely, "Uncle Eng, what did your young master say?"
Uncle Eng hesitated, unsure whether to relay the young master's words to the little beauty.
Seeing Uncle Eng's hesitation, Florence seemed to guess the outcome, smiling brightly like the morning sun, dazzling.
"Uncle Eng, actually, what I most want to find out is news of my family's young master." She had spent ten years at school, mastering excellent skills, even though not yet graduated, she already rivaled special police officers. Her father sent her to school for ten years, never seeing the young master again, but she couldn't forget him.
This summer, she exerted tremendous effort to convince her father and the guardian at the school looking after her to agree to let her travel alone. But it wasn't traveling she wanted; she was searching for Jimmy Horne.
Florence Ford was unaware that Jimmy Horne had been sent to the base for training.
Compared to Camila Ruiz, she knew very little, almost none about his situation.
