Queen Mommy's Six Genius Babies Found the CEO Daddy-Chapter 196: The Party
When they arrived at the filming site, Sophia narrowed her eyes.
"Where is everyone? Don’t tell me that the moment you left, every single person magically disappeared?"
Harper had brought her here, yet there wasn’t a soul in sight. The place felt almost deserted—though the scenery around them was admittedly beautiful.
"I don’t know either! Everyone was here earlier. How did they all suddenly vanish? Maybe they wrapped for the day. I mean, I rushed out at dawn just to come back and celebrate your birthday. How can my car possibly compete with your helicopter? That thing flies fast—and cuts straight through the route."
Sophia frowned. Something felt wrong.
"Sophia, wait here. I’ll make a call."
Harper stepped aside to dial.
Suddenly, not far from them, music began to play.
Just as Sophia was about to walk toward the sound, a hand caught her from behind.
"Where are you going?"
Lucas appeared—of course. The moment he realized she was heading out alone, he’d dropped everything and followed.
"I think I heard something. Let’s go take a look."
They walked toward the corner, and just as they turned—
Something hard pressed against her back.
A low, unfamiliar male voice growled, "Don’t move. Or you’re dead."
Sophia’s pulse tightened.
"Who are you? Stay calm—don’t do anything stupid."
"If you don’t want trouble, do as I say. My knife doesn’t have eyes."
The blade stayed at her back. Someone else approached, covering their eyes.
"Move!"
They were shoved forward. Light dimmed—apparently they’d been pushed into some kind of room.
"Sit."
She was forced into a chair.
"Who are you people? What do you want? Don’t—don’t be reckless."
Sophia stayed relatively calm.
Then the man laughed.
"What do I want? Lucas... Sophia... With you two in my hands, half of the business world is basically mine."
"So it is money you want. Then let’s talk. Release us first—name your price. Whatever you want, we can negotiate."
"Negotiate? If I’ve already got you, every company tied to you is basically mine. Why would I settle for a price? I’m not stupid."
Sophia’s eyes narrowed. Even with her vision blocked, she’d noticed faint flickering lights earlier.
And remembering Harper’s suspicious behavior... 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
She already had a pretty good idea what was going on.
Sophia lowered her voice.
"Uncle Hanson... When did you learn to lie?"
The "kidnapper" cleared his throat.
"I don’t know what you’re talking about. If you want to live, you’d better call your companies now and tell them to transfer all your shares to me."
"Your acting is terrible. Honestly—not even as good as Harper. Should’ve signed up for an acting class with her."
Sophia sighed and tore off the blindfold herself.
Before her stood a whole crowd.
Howard had even drawn on a scar, trying to look intimidating.
Behind him, Jodi and Leon grinned widely.
Several other familiar faces were gathered around.
"Mommy!"
All six kids ran over, each holding a big gold bar.
"Mommy, Auntie Harper bought you gold bars!"
Harper stepped forward with an oversized gold bar of her own, pouting.
"Ugh! I wanted to surprise you... but of course you figured it out."
Sophia let out a speechless laugh.
"You actually pulled it off pretty well... but the moment I arrived here, I knew. If you want to blame someone, blame Lucas."
"Me?"
Lucas stood to the side, completely confused.
"In the past, whenever something happened, you were always glued to my side. But just now? You didn’t say a single word—acting all calm. So naturally, I started to suspect you were in on it. And besides, back at the office, you casually mentioned that Harper was throwing me a birthday party. I put everything together, and it wasn’t hard to guess the person ’threatening’ me was Uncle Hanson."
Lucas raised a brow.
"I’m actually more curious—what’s your relationship with Howard?"
Howard was the president of LT Films, and Leon was a rising actor—Lucas recognized him instantly.
Jodi, who Lucas had been trying to recruit for months, was standing right there too.
Several other people were clearly part of LT’s team.
Honestly, he was the most confused person in the room.
A chill crawled up Sophia’s neck.
Her identity as the chairwoman of LT Films was something she had never told Lucas.
Not a word.
And now, thanks to Harper, she was one step away from being exposed.
Harper realized something was going very, very wrong.
"Lucas, come on—don’t be so petty. There’s no way you know every single friend Sophia has ever made."
Lucas shot her a cold glance.
"You’re right. But when it comes to her friends in this country? I actually do know all of them. Sophia, shouldn’t you give me an explanation?"
"Lucas, actually, I—"
"You wanted to join the entertainment industry, didn’t you? That’s how you met them?"
Sophia hadn’t even gotten a full sentence out before he threw out his own conclusion.
She froze for two seconds, then nodded rapidly like a pecking chicken.
"Right. Yes. Exactly. How did you know?"
"I know I’m strict with you. But the entertainment industry isn’t a place you should step into. You’re my wife—I won’t let you put yourself in that environment. If you simply want to earn money, I can hand over one of my entertainment companies for you to manage."
Lucas had already spun an entire narrative in his head.
Sophia’s lips twitched. She forced a smile.
"You don’t have to say anything. I understand everything."
Everyone around them stared with helpless expressions.
"Mommy! Blow the candles! They’re going out!"
At the perfect moment, Faye diverted their attention.
Sophia went down the little step, closed her eyes, and made her second birthday wish.
As soon as she blew out the candles, the entire room lit up.
She finally saw the truth—it was a bar, fully booked out. They were the only people inside.
The atmosphere was explosive. Sophia swallowed down the sudden wave of emotion and sat to the side.
A moment later, Harper appeared beside her.
"Sophia."
She handed her a drink.
"Not joining them?"
"Join them for what? None of them matter more than you."
Harper smiled and raised her glass.
"Happy birthday. Wish you joy—always."
Sophia’s lips curled faintly as she downed the drink in one go.
Joy?
Maybe...
