"Hold on, I will clone your Interface ID. It will not work when we enter the next area," Kadir said. He was really proud of this. If their interface disappeared completely, it would be very alarming. Especially if Nora's signal was to disappear. Kadir opened the door.

"Nora, you go first." Kadir temporarily transferred her tracking to be handled by the software. One by one, he transferred over the tracking to the software. As her interface shut off, she felt a slight sting. Kai gave him an impressed look when he brought up this next tool.

'Although you would be without your Interface, the idea of being able to shut it off and be completely apart from it in a secret living space like this is very tempting. I cannot say that they have done this, or they might get punished, but I might use it in the future. It might not be that easy to reverse engineer', Kai thought.

"Ow". Nora said. Liem gave her a knowing, sympathetic look. All of them had already been there.

"Sorry." Kadir said as he kicked himself for forgetting to tell her. They walked down the hall into the living space.

Nora was stunned. It was a working home that could sustain their family if necessary that they were still currently working on. An emergency shelter, if they need to air gap themselves. Kadir switched on a link to the software that accessed the operating system in his Interface and brought up the system on a physical display. He presented a slideshow to Kai, showcasing their businesses and separate living quarters for potential solo stays. He suffered some terrible trauma. Nora wanted to let him know that she did not expect a physical relationship and would offer him the ability to escape his home.

"If you believe in equality, how do you make major decisions?" Kai asked.

"We do so by an anonymous vote. Each vote has an equal weight. They have overruled me countless times," Nora answered.

"What if you do not like the outcome of the vote?" Kai asked.

"I try to persuade them otherwise sometimes, but trust is built on respecting their opinion. It is for our common good that we all can have a fair say," Nora answered.

"What if we oppress you continually, what will you do?" Kai asked, trying to press the woman further.

"I suppose I would be very sad if the goal was meant to oppress me. I do not force anything on them. We are a family, and we are meant to love one another. I suppose I would focus on the children and make them learn from what their fathers are doing. I trust them with my life. " Nora said. Kai kept his face as straight as possible.

'They were not lying. Not one bit. She is definitely different. She is physically different to any woman that I have met so far. Is that the reason I find myself looking at her so much? Do I trust them on this? It's probably my own way out.' Kai thought. His eyes had caught the diamond dangling between her breasts and followed along her curves. The longer he stayed with her, the more he felt himself noticing her. He normally looked away from women. Especially his Mother. Nora, seeing his eyes finding the shiny target, stretched her arms up and arched her back, stretching away fake muscle fatigue.

'Success, he is not grossed out. Maybe I will be able to do this without feeling completely terrible about myself. He seems really nice so far. Maybe a little cold and withdrawn. Liem said that he has had a pretty hard life, I would not blame him. I am so glad I got to meet him first. I guess next is to test him like Liem and Cerez suggested.' Nora thought. She rolled her shoulders and cleared her throat.

"We have not had a break for a while. Would you like some Iced Tea? This is a new Liotte blend that we are developing. I welcome your feedback." Nora asked, standing walking to the fridge in their kitchen and grabbing a few bottles, bending over in full view of the group of men.

"Yes, that would be much appreciated. Is Iced Tea a Quill product?" Kai asked. He found himself slightly distracted, looking at the back of her body as she dug into the cooler. He felt very thirsty at the moment, his mouth dried as his eyes lingered on her buttocks and hips. Cerez coughed, feeling possessive, nodding to Kai.

"Yes, it is a big moneymaker. I manage our food and beverage industry with Nora. We both collaborate and create the recipes personally." Cerez answered with pride. He noticed Kai's eyes still on Nora's figure. It seemed like he was attracted to her. Cerez felt some of his previous unease slip away and was replaced with a little apprehension as he watched her move. Kai was a good guy, but he hated women. It was surprising seeing him like this, but that could change. Nora walked over and placed her bottle down first and walked around the meeting table and distributed the bottles.

'It is so shocking to see her serving her spouses and not the other way around.' Kai thought. Normally he would see the Matriarchs he consulted with ordering their Bind around while he was there. He received some basic respect due to the circumstances of his birth.

Nora was proof it did not need to be that way. Relationships in the lower classes were built on mutual respect. She offered. Kai was following her every move. As Nora reached him, she tripped on her skirt, falling against his broad chest. She looked up into his eyes. Her big blue eyes mesmerised him with their soft innocent gaze. He felt the heat of her soft breasts pressing on his chest briefly as her tiny hands moved to push herself into recovering her dignity.

"I am so sorry. Luckily, this was a bottle, or I would have gotten us all wet." Nora said in a sweet, apologetic, innocent tone.

'What a lucky accident. I thought I would have to act brazenly.' Nora thought. Nora's bodice had slid down, and her breasts were completely exposed. She acted ignorant of it and held her gaze upwards. He looked down at her, his eyes following a drop of condensation from the bottle as it dripped down and made its trip south down her breasts. 'It is accidental. Do not touch her in front of her spouses. Why is no one helping her? I will not be able to stand up if this goes any longer', Kai thought.

"I am so sorry. The strap snapped when I tripped. I will have to figure this out. Just give me one moment." Nora said apologetically. She pulled at the straps of her dress to cover herself, briefly jiggling her bigger breasts. She felt the physiological reaction that indicated that he was at least attracted to her. She felt herself start to heat up, he was too damned attractive. She tightened the straps. She tried to get up by herself. Her foot was stuck in a portion of the long skirt. The delicate fabric ripped, exposing the uppermost point of her thighs.

"I think I need someone to help me. I am only making things worse," Nora said. Kai did not move to help her. She looked at him finally, he looked deeply into her eyes. "Again, I am sorry. I am a little clumsy," Nora confessed. He smiled sweetly at him.

"It is okay. Sorry, let me help you." Kai said. Kai's hand moved to her side as he lifted her up. Her torn skirt shifted briefly in a disadvantaged way for her. She seemed unfazed until she looked down. She flushed.

"I know I have made things awkward, and you were not expecting to have a conversation like this today," Nora said apologetically. She covered herself as she stood and turned. She walked to her seat relieved that the physical aspect was over. He was not revolted, although she had certainly given him enough cause to be. She twisted open the bottle of Iced Tea and gulped down a mouthful. Kai cleared his throat.

"I assumed it would be for something important when they all came together. Unexpected things happen. So what if I join you? What can I expect?" Kai asked. He was interested in leaving home. The monotony of meeting clients and dodging parties and events in which he could get picked was wearing on him.

'No one will give me a choice like this in the future. The girl is the opposite of any Matriarch I've met. These three seemed on board. What else would she offer if I stalled longer?' Kai thought. He looked at his hands.

"You will have the freedom to travel, work on personal projects, and seek education. I have to warn you, I do have goals that surpass yours in the aspect of social equity. If it gets out, this may put you in danger. I cannot say more. They say you are a trustworthy individual. Should you not consent, I would ask you to abide by the non-disclosure terms of the contract you agreed to." Nora said. Kai looked at her with a surprised look on his face.

"Hmm." Kai said. Kai was shocked by his physical response. For years, he was unable to 'rise' because of trauma, he was not disgusted, he did not feel the vomit rise to his throat. Could he live a better life than what he had now? Kai felt that this was an opportunity that could not be missed.

"I like all that you have presented so far. Thank you for giving me a choice", Kai said with a big genuine smile. "I like you Nora. I am eager to move from my maternal home. When can we do this?" he said as he felt optimism for what he thought was the first time in his life. Nora looked briefly shocked.

"I will send the request to your clan when we leave tonight and ask for you. Will I encounter any problems or is there a specific way I should approach them?" Nora said.

"Wait until the morning. I will tell my Father just in case Solina has any questions," Kai responded. He did not address her as mother anymore.
