Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 527 Sisterly Private Talks 4
Lily Turner and Alice Turner talked at home for a long time, and after dinner, they reluctantly ended their conversation and left the house.
On the way to dropping Lily off at the Turner Family home, Alice received a call from Benjamin Shaw, but she did not answer and instead hung up unceremoniously.
To prevent Benjamin Shaw from calling again, Alice set her phone to silent when she hung up. She now could only concentrate on driving and getting Lily home safely, everything else took a back seat.
"Is it that client urging you?"
Lily didn’t know that the person calling Alice was Benjamin Shaw. Alice hadn’t told her that she was going to visit Benjamin Shaw’s family in the evening but instead said she was meeting a client.
Seeing that Alice didn’t answer the phone, Lily immediately thought it was probably a call from that client.
Upon hearing this, Alice instinctively wanted to turn her head to look at Lily. The moment she turned her head, she suddenly remembered what happened yesterday and immediately stopped the action, focusing on the road ahead.
"No! It’s a creditor."
Alice’s eyes were glued to the road ahead, and her face showed no expression.
Seeing her like this, Lily, sitting in the passenger seat, had the illusion that she wasn’t talking to her sister but seemed to be speaking to someone else across a distance.
Lily didn’t press Alice about what kind of creditor because she noticed something was off about her sister. She couldn’t quite put her finger on what was wrong but she just felt something was abnormal.
"Sis! You can drop me off at the entrance of my complex, and I’ll walk in myself later. It’s not far, just like taking a walk after dinner." She didn’t continue discussing the phone issue with her sister but instead took the initiative to change the topic.
"My matters aren’t that urgent; there’s plenty of time to drop you at the entrance." Alice remained focused on driving and didn’t even turn her head as she spoke.
Seeing her sister maintain her previous demeanor and being so resolute, Lily knew her sister meant well and didn’t insist on her own opinion.
"Since you have plenty of time, I won’t be polite with you." Her sister always had a sense of propriety; she just needed to follow her sister’s arrangement.
"That’s the way it should be!"
Alice tugged at the corner of her lips, seemingly very satisfied with what Lily just said.
Lily glanced out the car window. The car was already nearing the complex where their home was located. Her heart suddenly tightened, and worry surged up all at once.
"You don’t need to worry too much. Dad supports you and Easton being together, and I believe mom will change her mind soon too." Not having heard Lily speak for a while, Alice found it a bit odd. Ensuring safety, she glanced over at the passenger seat.
Seeing her sister staring out the window in a daze, she immediately guessed that her sister was worried, and she also knew what exactly her sister was worried about.
Alice’s voice came from the side, snapping Lily back from her thoughts. Just as she was about to turn her head to look at Alice, she saw Easton Holmes’ car flash past theirs.
Staring blankly at the car speeding away, she turned back to look at her sister who was driving, "With your support, Easton and I will definitely get better and better."
She no longer held any hope for that mother. No matter what happens today, she would stand by him.
