Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 537: Did You Find Out Something?
After sending off Michael Linton, Easton Holmes intended to go upstairs with Lily Turner to return to their room, but Christopher Turner called him to the living room again. Lily couldn’t go upstairs alone and followed them into the living room.
Seeing the three walking into the living room, Sophia Wood stood at the door of the living room, hesitated for a moment, and then turned to leave.
Not hearing anyone following behind, Lily instinctively looked back. When she turned her head, Sophia’s figure was no longer there.
She stared into the empty distance for a while before turning her head back, following them inside. As she went in, the two men in front of her were already seated on the sofa.
Seeing Lily approaching, Easton glanced at the spot beside him, clearly suggesting for her to sit next to him. She did not disappoint him and sat down beside him.
For a moment, the three of them didn’t know what to say, creating a rather awkward atmosphere. Each of the three felt a little uncomfortable.
However, this awkwardness didn’t last long. Christopher was the first to break the tense atmosphere by initiating a conversation with Easton.
At first, the two appeared quite formal, but after chatting for a while, their conversation became increasingly natural.
Lily sat there silently; her body was in the living room, but her thoughts had long run off with Sophia.
Her mother’s calm demeanor just now definitely was not a good sign. She knew her mother well enough to know that coming to terms with things so quickly was impossible.
Perhaps her mother didn’t want to lose her temper with him there.
Buzz buzz buzz!
Hearing the phone vibrating, Lily furrowed her brows slightly, steadying her thoughts. She turned her head to look at the man sitting next to her.
She saw Easton pulling out a phone from his pocket, taking a look at it. Instead of answering, he handed the phone over to Lily.
"Your sister is calling."
Seeing her puzzled look, he explained briefly.
Upon hearing this, Lily hurriedly took the phone Easton handed to her. After glancing at him, she stood up with the phone, walking out of the living room as she answered the call.
"Alice!"
Her sister calling at this time must mean something was up, especially since she called Easton’s phone; it had to be urgent.
"... Are Mom and Dad around you now?"
Alice Turner didn’t expect Lily to answer the call. She was taken aback before speaking.
Her voice was not loud, and Lily could tell that she intentionally lowered her voice, seemingly worried that others might hear.
Despite not seeing her through the phone, Lily felt that Alice was acting very strangely; her tone and demeanor were not in their usual, normal state.
"No, I’m currently walking into the yard."
Not knowing what her sister wanted to say, Lily truthfully informed her about her current situation, reassuring her sister to speak freely.
Upon learning of the situation here, Alice urgently spoke: "Lily! Listen to me, if Mom gives you anything to eat or drink later, do not touch it."
The tone was urgent and serious, filled with deep concern.
Due to her anxiety and lack of concern, Alice’s voice was much louder than before.
"Did you find something out?"
From Alice’s words, Lily discerned a terrifying message—that her mother, Sophia Wood, intended to harm the child in her womb.
