Chapter 584: Chapter 584: I Don’t Need It

Ever since coming back from the Turner Family that day, under Fabian Holmes’ threats and incentives, Amelia Linton hadn’t dared to show up in front of Easton Holmes and Lily Turner again, nor did she dare to go to her father’s house.

Suddenly receiving a call from her son, Amelia’s mood was extremely excited and immensely happy. It was her son who took the initiative to call her.

Hearing Amelia excitedly call out to her son, Theodore Holmes, who was sitting to the side playing on his phone, turned his head to look at her. Seeing her happy face, he immediately asked, "Mom! Why are you calling me?"

He spoke so loudly that even the person on the other end of the line could hear him clearly.

"I wasn’t calling you; I was calling your big brother."

Amelia pointed at the phone attached to her ear. Theodore pretended not to see, feigned surprise, and looked toward the entrance of the living room, "Big brother?! Where is he? He hasn’t come, Mom! I’m the only man here."

As he spoke, he turned his head again to look at the living room entrance.

"You child, have you been playing with your phone too much? Your big brother didn’t come; he’s on the phon..." At this moment, Amelia suddenly realized she was still on the call with Easton. With no sound from the other end, she hurriedly asked, "Son! Why did you call me?"

After speaking, she moved the phone away from her ear, looked at it to confirm the call was still connected, and only then contentedly pressed it back to her ear.

After a long while, Easton’s voice finally came through the phone, sounding cold, "In the future, you and he should stop meddling in my affairs. I don’t need it!"

After speaking, he didn’t hesitate at all and immediately hung up the phone. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

Beep!

Hearing the beep beside her ear, Amelia realized Easton had hung up. Just moments ago, she was excited, but now she fell into a slump, staring blankly at the phone for quite a while before slowly coming to her senses.

"Mom! What’s wrong? Did big brother say something to upset you again?" Theodore got up and walked over, sitting next to Amelia and placing his hand on her shoulder. He continued, "Don’t be mad at big brother; I’m sure he didn’t mean it."

As he spoke, he gave her shoulder a firm squeeze.

Amelia tilted her head to look at Theodore, picked up the phone, and dialed back. But the phone rang for a long time until it automatically hung up, and she didn’t hear Easton’s voice again.

Still not giving up, she dialed back a second time, but the result was the same as the first time; the call was automatically hung up, and no one on the other end answered.

Amelia still hadn’t given up. As she prepared to dial a third time, Theodore suddenly reached out and took her phone. She turned her head and glared at him in dissatisfaction, "Why are you taking my phone? Give it back."

With that, she reached out to grab the phone he had taken away, but her hand missed as he swiftly moved the hand holding the phone away.

"Big brother doesn’t want to answer your call, so don’t call again." While Amelia wasn’t paying attention, Theodore slipped her phone into his own pocket and then looked at her nonchalantly.

Amelia felt a bit angry at this point, frustrated with nowhere to vent it. Theodore seemed oblivious, not only hiding her phone but also saying things that made her even angrier.

As expected, as soon as he finished speaking, she glared at him, "Who says your big brother doesn’t want to take my call? Give my phone back!"
