Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 598: It’s All the Trouble Caused by Joyriding 5
Michael Linton had initially not realized who Easton Holmes was talking about, but upon seeing Easton’s unpleasant expression, he immediately understood.
"What’s the matter with calling so late?"
If there was nothing significant, that person wouldn’t proactively call here—not even during the day, let alone in the dead of night.
"The two of them had a fight."
While responding to his uncle, Easton Holmes took out his phone from his pocket, then walked aside to make a call.
Although Michael Linton didn’t know what exactly had happened, he could tell from Easton’s behavior that the argument between his sister and brother-in-law wasn’t simple; something serious must have taken place, otherwise, they wouldn’t make a call here in the middle of the night.
As there was some distance between them, and Easton’s voice was not loud, Michael Linton couldn’t hear whom he was calling or what he was saying.
After Easton finished the call, he turned and headed toward the living room. As he passed by Michael, he glanced sideways, "Uncle! You should go to bed, it’s nothing major."
He didn’t stop and continued walking toward the living room.
Whether it was major or not, he didn’t dare to make hasty conclusions; he was also waiting for news.
"I’m not that sleepy."
Without hesitating, Michael Linton followed suit. Since he hadn’t figured out what had happened, how could he return to his room calmly? Even if he went back, he wouldn’t be able to sleep soundly.
Hearing Michael catch up, Easton said nothing more to persuade him to rest in his room and let him follow along.
The uncle and nephew, as if they had planned it, sat on the sofa in silence, without uttering a word.
Buzz buzz buzz!
The vibrating sound of the phone broke the silence in the living room.
Easton hurriedly picked up the phone, glanced at it, and immediately answered.
"How is it?" 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
Skipping unnecessary words, he asked directly as soon as the phone touched his ear.
"The phone’s current location is at Splendid Home number sixteen." The person on the other end also cut to the chase with a neat and tidy response.
Splendid Home number sixteen was none other than the villa where Fabian Holmes and Amelia Linton lived. When Easton heard this, his brows knitted, but soon they relaxed.
"The owner and the phone aren’t together, check the exact current location of the owner." He had just arrived at this conclusion as well; since the person wasn’t home and calls weren’t being answered, it could only mean one thing: the person and the phone were not together.
"Yes!"
The person on the other end shouted in response and then hung up.
Seeing Easton lower the phone from his ear, Amelia Linton understood he had ended the call, and she sat beside him, "Your mom running away from home?"
Based on the snippets he heard from Easton, she confidently made this assumption.
"She just left without her phone, that’s all."
Easton was confident that his mom wouldn’t run away from home; where this confidence stemmed from, even he wasn’t quite sure.
Michael Linton glanced at Easton, neither questioning his words nor arguing, and they fell into silence once more.
The person Easton called was incredibly efficient, and he soon received another call, promptly reporting the information he’d found.
