Callix Linton’s question puzzled Lily Turner, and she tilted her head to look at the old Mr. Linton sitting on the other side of Michael Linton, "Easton said I belong to the Taylor Family, didn’t you know about this?"

"Jasmine Wood? My mom’s name is Sophia Wood."
Lily Turner was completely baffled by Callix Linton’s words. She turned around to face Easton Holmes, "Did you and Uncle make a mistake? I have nothing to do with the Taylor Family."
Although both last names are Wood, the first names are so different.
"Your mother was originally called Jasmine Wood; she changed her name to Sophia Wood later on," explained Michael Linton from behind her. Hearing this, she turned around to look at him, and as she did, he continued, "We are not mistaken, you are indeed a child of the Taylor Family. Your father is Daxton Taylor, the second son of the Taylor Family."
Michael Linton explained in great detail and very earnestly. He hoped that both the old Mr. Linton and Lily Turner could understand clearly.

How heartless did they have to be to do such a thing? How could they, as a family, bring themselves to do that, to be so cruel as to bully a widow and her child?
Not hearing any reaction from Lily Turner’s side for a long time, Easton Holmes couldn’t sit still. He quickly got up and walked over to her. As he approached, he saw her with her head down, looking dejected, and his heart ached sharply.
Easton Holmes reached out, intending to touch Lily Turner’s head, but suddenly she lifted her head, which had been bowed, and looked at him for a while before abruptly standing up, "I want to go home and see my mom."
