Sophia Wood walked into the living room, followed closely by Christopher Turner. The two of them sat down on the sofa, one after the other.
The couple seemed to have agreed in advance not to speak to each other first. However, they exchanged a glance and then simultaneously turned their gaze to the TV in front of them.
Christopher hadn’t bothered to change the channel when he left the living room earlier, so the TV was still on the financial channel, currently broadcasting financial news.
Sophia had no interest in this news at all. However, preoccupied as she was, she didn’t think of changing the channel. She just stared at the TV with her eyes, but where her thoughts truly were, only she knew.

At the sound, Sophia withdrew her gaze from the TV in front of her and slowly turned to her right, "Lily already knows about it."
She would be home soon anyway. She couldn’t keep it a secret even if she wanted to, so since it couldn’t be hidden, she might as well come forth with it.
"Lily already knows? When did this happen?" Just yesterday, Christopher had met with Aiden Taylor, who had said Lily didn’t know about this, yet now he was hearing something different.
He was a bit surprised, and at that moment of surprise, he began to form his own thoughts.
Sophia nodded: "Lily just found out; she and Easton are on their way here now."
What exactly did that girl find out about? Is she coming here to verify the truth of this matter? Or to question her?
These were all just speculations on her part now. Only when they met in person would she know the answers.
"Lily and Easton are coming over shortly?"
There was an unmistakable excitement in Christopher’s voice, and his expression improved immediately upon hearing this news. He turned to face Sophia, "When Lily gets here, be nice. Don’t act like you did the last time you met."
He wasn’t consulting with her, nor was he pleading. He was reminding her, very seriously and purposefully.
After what happened last time, Sophia had been scolded quite a bit by Christopher in anger. They had also argued often over the matter, and their relationship had only started to improve gradually since yesterday.
