Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 646: I Can’t Afford to Delay Much Longer
"You go upstairs and rest first."
Easton Holmes didn’t plan to let Lily Turner go with him. Seeing the stance of his grandpa and uncle, it was clear they wouldn’t let him go anytime soon. He told her to go back to the room to rest while he stayed to talk with his grandpa and uncle.
Lily looked at Easton, then at Callix and Michael Linton sitting on the sofa. She hesitated for a moment, but ultimately went along with Easton’s suggestion, "Grandpa! Uncle! Since you’re here, I’ll head up first."
After saying this to the two men in the living room, she turned around and went upstairs.
Once Lily left, Easton walked into the living room and sat down in the empty seat next to Callix, "Grandpa! What do you want to know? Hurry up and ask."
It was already very late, and his grandpa really couldn’t stay up much longer. But if they waited until tomorrow to ask, his grandpa definitely wouldn’t agree.
"You brat! What’s the rush? I won’t take too long," Callix was so sleepy that he wasn’t thinking straight. He hadn’t realized Easton was in a hurry because of him, and even made a sarcastic remark.
Michael, however, understood clearly. Seeing Callix speaking without considering the situation, he couldn’t help but defend Easton, "Easton is just trying to prevent you from staying up too late. Don’t be so... impatient."
He almost let slip that Callix was being ungrateful, but caught himself just in time. Otherwise, his ears would have suffered tonight.
"I didn’t realize that, thanks for pointing it out." 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
Even though Callix was extremely tired, his reaction was still quick. He retorted as soon as Michael finished speaking.
Seeing the two about to start bickering, Easton spoke up quickly, "Grandpa! Do you still want to know what happened to us over there?"
He was worried that if he didn’t interject, the father and son would keep bickering.
"Of course, I want to know."
Callix responded quickly and then fired off several questions in one breath: "How did Lily talk to her mom? Did her mom mention not recognizing the Taylors? Is her mom still holding a grudge against the Taylors? Could her mom’s feelings towards the Taylors affect your relationship?"
These were the questions that Callix was most eager to know, and the last one was his greatest concern.
He was worried that the situation might impact Easton and Lily’s marriage, which would not be ideal.
If such a thing did happen, he certainly wouldn’t stand by idly.
"Grandpa! You asked so many questions at once, which one do you want me to answer first?" Easton understood his grandpa’s urgency and concern, but he hadn’t anticipated it being this intense, which really caught him off guard.
Callix looked at him and said, "Just tell me one by one."
He wanted to know all of them since they were crucial, and he still had many more questions he hadn’t asked yet.
"Alright, alright!"
Seeing how anxious his grandpa was, Easton dared not delay any longer and promptly began answering the questions one by one, "As for how Lily talked to her mom, since I wasn’t by her side, I’m not too sure. Her mom..."
"How could you not be by her side, weren’t you with her?"
Just as Easton was answering the first question, Callix couldn’t help but interrupt him.
