Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 694: You Have Been the Best to Me
Easton Holmes didn’t respond, and just when Lily Turner thought he was still the same, he suddenly let go of her hand.
She was a bit surprised, but she didn’t dwell on it for too long. She went forward to greet her approaching sister.
"Sister!"
At this moment, Lily wore a bright smile and reached out to link arms with Alice Turner, who had just come to her side.
"Did you two just get back?"
After a call from Sophia Wood, Alice immediately took a leave from work, and after lunch, she drove over here.
"Yeah."
Lily nodded in response and, with Alice on her arm, pushed the door open and walked into the house. As she entered, she glanced back to see Easton following, and only then did she feel at ease to turn and continue inside with her sister.
Seeing the two sisters and Easton walk in one after another, Sophia instinctively straightened up and waved them in, "Come in quickly and have a seat."
She thought only Lily was coming, so she was quite surprised to see Easton as well. She wasn’t sure if he was just dropping Lily off or planning to stay the night here.
He probably wouldn’t stay, right?
After all, tomorrow is their wedding day, and as the groom, he should be at his own place.
"Have you all eaten?"
After the three sat down, Sophia turned her attention to whether they had eaten. She knew Lily had lunch, but she wasn’t clear about Easton and Alice.
If it were just Alice, she wouldn’t worry because Alice would ask for food herself without any prompt.
But Easton was a son-in-law, and although he had been with her daughter for several months, he had only visited a few times.
"I’ve eaten," Alice replied, understanding whom her mother really wanted to inquire about but she answered formally anyway.
"We’ve both eaten too," Lily immediately answered for both herself and Easton. After saying this, she instinctively tilted her head to glance at him, only to meet his gaze.
She was startled for a moment, then turned her attention back to Alice. "Sister! Did you take the day off?"
Usually, her sister would be at work at this time, but today she was here, sitting leisurely.
"Tomorrow is your wedding day, how could I not take a day off to attend?" Alice had only found out two days ago about Lily and Easton’s wedding and internally was genuinely happy for her sister. Soon her sister could openly admit she was Mrs. Holmes.
As soon as she said this, an undeniable smile spread across Lily’s face, and a shy blush silently crept up her cheeks. She leaned on Alice’s shoulder, "Sister! You’re the best to me."
Unlike some people, who just know how to bully me. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
Tilting her head, she could perfectly see the man sitting not far from her side.
The moment their eyes met, she immediately tucked away her smile, replacing it with a look of displeasure.
This girl! Clearly, she was deliberately teasing him.
Easton gritted his teeth inwardly, naughty girl! We’ll settle this later tonight.
As if sensing his vexation, Lily glanced over at him again, but she only caught sight of his profile, seeing nothing more.
Could she have been mistaken just now?
While the young couple continued their silent little duel, Sophia’s voice rang out again: "Alice! Have you informed Benjamin about Lily and Easton’s wedding? Will he be coming tomorrow?"
