Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 707: I Am Just a Tool
"Sister! I feel so unlucky today!"
Tears suddenly welled up in Lily Turner’s eyes, her nose tingled, and the tears quickly turned into streams, rolling down her cheeks.
Seeing this, Alice Turner immediately stepped forward, reached out, and embraced the crying Lily. She softly said, "If you want to cry, just cry. You can lean on my shoulder anytime."
She tilted her head to glance at her shoulder. Although it was a bit narrow and weak, it should still be able to support her sister for a while.
"Sister..."
Lily choked out, calling her sister, then couldn’t utter another word, quietly sobbing on her sister’s shoulder.
The suppressed sobs made Alice feel extremely distressed, her eyes warming as tears silently slid down her own cheeks.
Suddenly, the pleasant ringing of a phone broke the moment.
Alice initially didn’t want to pay attention, but after it rang once, it rang a second time. She suddenly realized that this call might be from Easton Holmes.
Following her intuition, she took out the phone from her pocket, held it up to her eyes to check, and sure enough, it was Easton calling.
"Lily! Stop crying, Easton is calling. Let’s ask him what exactly is going on." Seeing that it was Easton calling, Alice hurriedly patted Lily, who was sobbing on her shoulder, telling her Easton was on the line.
Hearing this, Lily suddenly straightened up. The moment she did, Alice handed her the phone, "Pick it up quickly and ask clearly."
After speaking, Alice stuffed the phone into Lily’s hand and then used that hand to wipe the tears off her own face.
"Okay!"
Lily’s slender fingers swiped across the phone to answer it, and she placed the phone to her ear.
"Let Lily answer the phone!"
As soon as the phone was against her ear, Easton’s anxious voice came through from the other side.
"Did you see the message I sent..."
"What’s wrong with you? Why do you want to cancel tomorrow’s wedding?"
Earlier, when Lily called Easton, no one answered, so she sent him a simple text message with just four words: Cancel the wedding!
After finishing his tasks, Easton saw several missed calls and then the message she sent. He instantly realized something was wrong with her.
"The person you want to marry isn’t even me. I don’t want to be a substitute, no! I’m not even a substitute; I’m just a tool, a tool you used to get back at someone else." The wedding venue was ready. If that woman hadn’t left without a word, he would already have married her, and Lily wouldn’t be involved at all.
Recalling what Valentina had just said to her, Lily felt like a tool used by Easton, maybe even a substitute for someone else.
Easton didn’t know that Lily had met Valentina. Hearing her anger, he was utterly confused. "Who am I using you to get back at? Lily! What’s wrong with you? Why are you saying these absurd things to me?"
The one he wanted to marry wasn’t her; she was just a stand-in.
When he thought of this, a figure suddenly flashed in Easton’s mind, and he quickly asked over the phone, "Did you just meet someone?"
This girl wouldn’t say such things for no reason. Something must have happened after he left. If he had known, he wouldn’t have let her leave the compound earlier.
