The call was from Callix Linton. If it had been anyone else, Easton Holmes would have already turned hostile, but facing his grandfather, he instantly couldn’t lose his temper.
"Grandfather! Do you need something?"
If his grandfather was calling him at this time, it must be something important.
"Is Lily with you right now?"
Callix didn’t directly address the matter but asked Easton a question first.
Easton looked down at Lily Turner still nestled in his arms. Knowing his grandfather, there must be something he wanted to say that he didn’t want her to hear.
"Grandfather! Hold on a moment."
Realizing his grandfather’s intentions, he thought it would be best to excuse her first. Taking the phone away from his ear, he whispered to her in his arms, "Honey! Could you wait for me in the car? I’ll finish the call and join you."
He could only gently request her, rather than forcibly pushing her to the car.

Though Lily didn’t know what Callix wanted to discuss with Easton, she was aware they had something important to discuss without her hearing.
Without asking further, she obediently left his embrace and got into the car.
After seeing Lily get into the car, Easton casually closed the trunk lid. Once assured everything was secure, he picked up the phone and put it back to his ear.
"Grandfather! What is it that you want to discuss now?"
It must be something urgent; otherwise, his grandfather wouldn’t be calling continuously.
"A woman just showed up at the house, claiming to be your fiancée. You need to come back quickly and take a look." Callix didn’t need to ask further; hearing Easton’s response, he knew Lily wasn’t nearby, so he quickly divulged the matter.
Hearing this, Easton’s thoughts immediately went to Valentina, and his expression turned grim, "I understand. I’ll take Lily home and come right back."
The woman actually went to the house, what is she trying to do?
"Are you out with Lily?"
Callix had assumed Easton was at the Turner Family house, surprised to learn they were outside, he casually asked.
"Yes! I have to go now."
After acknowledging the call with his grandfather, Easton hung up. He pocketed the phone, collected himself quickly, and then got into the car.
"Grandfather called, asking me to return. I need to take you back now." Once inside the car, before she could speak in the passenger seat, he proactively explained.
"Oh!"
Lily merely responded with a gentle "oh," without asking if there was something urgent for Easton to deal with; she had already guessed they didn’t want her to know.
Since they both didn’t want her to know, she decided not to pursue it, understanding it would only make things difficult for him, and she wouldn’t get answers anyway.
Easton felt comforted, seeing how well-behaved Lily had been, not asking anything. This was precisely the situation he hoped for.
He didn’t elaborate further, rapidly started the engine, and drove towards the Turner’s residence.
The place they were currently at wasn’t far from the Turner Family house, and about half an hour later, the car stopped at the manor gate.
"I won’t go in. Please apologize to Mom and Dad for me," Easton, eager to return to handle matters, didn’t intend to go in. He reached out to embrace Lily, "I won’t come back tonight, make sure to rest well, see you tomorrow!"
He tilted his head to kiss her cheek, releasing her reluctantly afterward.
"See you tomorrow!"
Lily waved at him, then turned to get out of the car.
