Chapter 851: Chapter 851: The Way You Look at Me Makes Me Uncomfortable All Over

As they walked out of the cafeteria, Thomas Fisher freed himself from Ryan Taylor’s support, looking much clearer than he had inside.

"Second brother! You’ve been drinking too, just go home. Alice can drive me back. It’ll save you the trouble of running back and forth." He had just suddenly thought of this idea as they walked out, willing to sacrifice his brother’s concern for a chance to be alone with her.

"Can you manage on your own?"

Ryan Taylor didn’t immediately agree to leave. Instead, he stood still observing Thomas, while enquiring about his state.

"Of course, I can. You know my drinking capacity." To prove he wasn’t drunk, Thomas walked a few steps back and forth in front of Ryan, "Am I walking steadily?"

In reality, he was quite dizzy, but he tried not to stagger while walking.

Alice Turner glanced at Thomas, who was clearly showing signs of drunkenness, then shifted her gaze to Ryan Taylor, "I’ll go warm up the car first."

Without waiting for a response, she walked briskly towards the car parked nearby, deciding not to meddle in the brothers’ affairs, after all, she was just being a driver.

Thomas caught a glimpse of Alice heading towards the car from the corner of his eye, eager to follow her, but with Ryan still beside him, he didn’t dare act too impulsively.

"Second brother! You should head back now, I’m leaving."

He refused his brother’s offer again, this time a bit more urgently, though it wasn’t obvious unless you listened closely.

"Then take care."

Ryan glanced in the direction Alice had gone, seeing her already in the car, he turned his attention back to Thomas, standing beside him, "Don’t trouble her."

Seeing his good buddy wasn’t in a state where he couldn’t care for himself, Ryan decided not to follow them to send him off but couldn’t help offering a final piece of advice.

"I know."

Thomas quickly replied, then strode towards Alice, eager to see her sooner rather than later.

Watching Thomas get into Alice’s car, Ryan then turned to head home.

"Fasten your seatbelt!"

Once Thomas was seated, Alice tilted her head to remind him to buckle up.

"Help me with it."

He turned to her, waiting for her to fasten his seatbelt.

"Do it yourself!"

Alice tossed a remark at him before driving off towards the gate of the courtyard.

She didn’t glance at the man in the passenger seat, but she could feel his gaze.

Not one for fuss, nor easily flustered, yet his gaze made her uneasy.

Unable to bear his stare any longer, Alice gave him an annoyed look, "Can you not stare at me like that? You’re making me uncomfortable."

Her tone wasn’t friendly, nor was her expression pleasant as she spoke in irritation.

If she wasn’t driving, she surely would’ve turned his head away.

"You’re all uneasy with me looking at you, but when Ryan was watching you earlier, I didn’t see you acting uncomfortable." Thomas had been thinking about the scene he saw in the cafeteria earlier, and the thought made him envious. Hearing Alice’s complaint, he couldn’t help but retort.
