Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 881: Such a Good Girl! You Deserve a Reward
Seeing Lily Turner walking towards him, Easton Holmes quickened his pace and met her not far from the living room door.
"Are you going out?"
Seeing him already changed out of his pajamas, she thought he must be heading out.
As Lily Turner expected, Easton Holmes was indeed going out. He had just received a call from Luke Crowe; they have already tracked down the person who made the post.
Right now, anger burned within him. He hurried to confront the person in person; nothing could ease his heart unless he personally dealt with it.
"Yeah! I’m going out to handle something, I’ll be back soon." He reached out to hug her. If it weren’t for this matter concerning her reputation, he wouldn’t have specially gone out to find that person.
Today was their second day of new marriage, and he really wanted to cling to her.
"You go then, I’ll wait for you at home."
Lily Turner hugged Easton Holmes back briefly, then withdrew from his embrace. She felt reluctant in her heart, but thinking about his business, as his wife, she couldn’t hold him back.
"Such a sweetheart! You deserve a reward."
Easton Holmes reached out to pull Lily Turner back into his arms, bowed his head and kissed her forcefully. He was so reluctant to let her go.
But, thinking of that hateful person who made the post, he suddenly raised his head, "Wait for me!"
He sighed softly, released her, and walked in large strides toward the door. His face suddenly turned grim as he moved away from her.
Watching the hurriedly departing figure, Lily Turner sighed deeply, and only after that figure left her sight did she turn and return to the living room.
"Hey! Mom! I’m back."
She picked up the phone and brought it back to her ear.
"What happened just now?"
Lily Turner suddenly hung up the phone; Sophia Wood worried that something urgent had happened. Already worried, she became even more concerned.
Because of the concern in her heart, Sophia Wood’s tone and voice changed; though separated by the phone, Lily Turner could still feel it, "Nothing happened, don’t worry about me. I just saw Easton going out and went to ask him where he was headed."
To reassure her mother on the other end of the phone, she truthfully explained the situation.
"Did Easton say where he was going?"
Hearing Lily Turner’s explanation, Sophia Wood’s worry intensified, her brow furrowed immediately, and her voice involuntarily became much louder.
Listening to this, Lily Turner increasingly felt something was off about Sophia Wood, the two words ’puzzled’ were clearly written on her charming face, "Mom! Why did you call today? Is there something on your mind?"
She was now ninety percent certain her mom didn’t call just because she missed her.
"Didn’t I tell you earlier? I just miss you a bit and wanted to hear your voice." Sophia Wood couldn’t see Lily Turner through the phone, but she didn’t need to guess to know Lily Turner was questioning her; she stubbornly stuck to her narrative.
No matter how much the person on the other end of the phone probed, she stuck to this story, not to mention she really did miss her a bit.
Lily Turner was about to open her mouth to inquire further when Sophia Wood suddenly said: "Lily! Someone’s at the house, so I won’t chat further, let’s leave it at this."
After Sophia Wood finished speaking, regardless of whether Lily Turner would overthink, she decisively hung up the phone.
After hanging up, she picked up her mobile phone again, found Easton Holmes’ number from the contact list, and immediately dialed it.
