Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 897: Iโll Leave This Matter to You
Easton Holmes was indeed still awake; while Fabian Holmes was on the phone with Michael Linton, Easton was also on the line with his old comrade, now a deputy director.
Suddenly, he saw his uncle calling. Without thinking, he knew what it was about. ๐๐๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ธ๐ซ๐ฎ๐ต.๐ฌ๐ค๐ข
"Old buddy! Iโm counting on you for this one. As soon as you find him, call me back without delay, no matter what time it is." Easton asked his old comrade to help find Theodore Holmes, knowing that his comrade had more people under him, quicker than searching alone.
"Alright."
"Thanks, brother."
"No need for gratitude between us. Besides, itโs our duty and responsibility."
Easton chatted a little more with his old comrade before hanging up.
After ending the call, he answered his uncleโs incoming call, "Iโm in the study; come over."
Connecting with Michael Lintonโs call, Easton directly told his uncle his location and invited him over.
"Uh? Oh!"
Michael didnโt expect Easton to be in the study and exclaimed before heading straight there.
Just as he reached the study door, it opened from inside, and without hesitation, he stepped in.
"Did you go out to look for Theodore Holmes today?" When Michael came back in the evening, he only saw Lily Turner and not his nephew Easton Holmes. It puzzled him; only after asking Lily did he learn his nephew went out in the morning.
At the time, he thought there might be urgent matters at the Military Department that his nephew was dealing with, without giving it much thought. It was only during his call with Fabian Holmes that the realization struck him.
Having guessed that Fabian called Michael, Easton wasnโt surprised or shocked by the inquiry. He nodded honestly at his uncle, "Yes."
He walked over to sit down without acknowledging his just-arrived uncle.
"What kind of post did that kid make?" Michael also naturally followed suit, sitting down on another chair, already posing the question he most wanted to know.
Easton stared at his uncle for a while before slowly responding, "Iโve already had the post deleted, so even if I wanted to show you, I canโt."
The moment he found out about this, he had Rey delete it. At this point, he genuinely had nothing to show his uncle.
"Are you really planning to send that kid to the police station?" Michael didnโt press on what kind of post; since his nephew didnโt want to talk about it, he saw no need to insist. Even though he wanted to know, he knew better than to press too hard.
Easton replied with another question, "Did you come to speak on his behalf?"
The kid was really too sheltered by that person, whoโafter Eastonโs refusalโhad still gone to his uncle to try persuading him.
"I just wanted to know the situation, not intending to speak for anyone." Easton Holmes was brought up under Michaelโs eyes, who knew his nephew well, recognizing that Easton responded better to soft approaches than hard. He couldnโt be aggressive, nor could he confront him directly.
Michael understood Easton, just as Easton understood Michael very well. He could tell that apart from seeking an explanation, his uncle wished to help persuade him for the kid. "Even if you planned to speak for him, itโs too late; the kidโs already been targeted by the police."
