Chapter 899: Chapter 899: The Two of Them Don’t Have That Much Influence

Easton Holmes gathered some information from Michael Linton’s words; his uncle had already tried to persuade his parents, but his parents completely ignored his uncle.

His uncle seemed very helpless; could it be that his parents were going to continue the dispute? Just how long were they planning to drag this out?

"What exactly happened the night before last, Uncle? You should know, right?" Suddenly recalling Amelia Linton’s attempt at suicide, Easton Holmes thought Michael Linton should be aware of the situation, so he tilted his head and asked. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

Upon hearing Easton Holmes suddenly bring up the incident from the night before last, Michael Linton’s brows furrowed deeply. After a moment of pause, he spoke in a low voice, "Your dad wants to divorce your mom, and in a moment of anger, your mom slit her wrists."

As he spoke, he secretly observed his nephew’s reaction, wanting to know what his nephew really thought.

"They can’t even sort out their own business but want to meddle in mine. Honestly, they’re too much." Easton Holmes was deeply upset learning about Amelia Linton’s wrist-slitting incident, but recalling what she had said to him after the wedding yesterday, a fire surged within him.

Michael Linton’s brows furrowed even tighter as he asked, "What have they done now? Are they interfering with you and Lily again?"

This was his suspicion, and he felt pretty sure about his guess.

Easton Holmes said nothing, merely letting out a barely audible sigh. Seeing this, Michael Linton knew he guessed right, and a burst of anger flared up within him.

"Why are they so stubborn? What do they want to achieve?" He was almost exhausting his words trying to persuade them, yet why couldn’t they understand?

Were they so unhappy with their own lives that they wanted others to be unhappy too, to feel balanced? Especially since those others were their son and daughter-in-law.

Michael Linton was so angry he almost slammed the table, but he couldn’t let Easton Holmes see his extreme anger; he needed to stay calm, or his nephew would be even angrier with his incompetent parents.

Easton Holmes was very angry now. Concerning his uncle’s words, he made a conclusion, "They’re just too idle. They feel uncomfortable if they don’t stir things up every day."

As if creating drama at home wasn’t enough, they sporadically came here to create a scene. If not for fearing that his grandfather would be angry, they wouldn’t even be able to step into the Military District Compound’s gate.

"Don’t worry about what they do or say. Just live your life well with Lily and don’t let them affect you," Michael Linton placed his hand on Easton Holmes’s shoulder and gave him a firm pat for comfort.

Easton Holmes snorted angrily, "They don’t have that much influence."

His face was filled with anger, with flames burning in his eyes.

"Don’t let them upset you; they’re not worth such anger. It’s already very late; go back and rest," Michael Linton had initially planned to persuade Easton against confronting Theodore Holmes, but seeing the situation as it was, he felt those three needed to be taught a lesson. Otherwise, they wouldn’t appreciate how good life was now.

Easton Holmes always did things with a sense of propriety, and Michael Linton had great confidence in him. He made a determination in his heart that if necessary, he’d lend his nephew a hand.
