Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap-Chapter 929: Honey! Still Shy?
In the few months he had been with Lily Turner, Easton Holmes had deliberately avoided talking about the situation with his parents. From Lily’s questions, he could tell that she had gathered some information about it.
He wasn’t sure how much she knew about the situation with his parents, but she definitely knew that the kid was his half-brother, otherwise she wouldn’t have just asked if his dad knew.
"He knows," he nodded truthfully to her.
"Then your dad must be really angry and in a tough spot, right?" Lily Turner surmised, understanding that with two sons in such a predicament, the father stuck in the middle had the hardest job.
At her words, Easton Holmes blurted out, "He’s angry? Who told him not to discipline his precious son?"
His words were filled with deep resentment towards his father, and his stern face now showed an expression of injustice.
"Honey! Don’t be angry, you can handle this however you want, I will always be by your side." Lily Turner could see that Easton Holmes was very angry, full of deep resentment. Now she could understand why his relationship with his parents wasn’t good.
Easton quickly wiped the anger off his face and replaced it with a relaxed expression. He curved his lips slightly, "I knew my wife would be on the same page with me."
As he spoke, he leaned down to kiss her forehead.
"Be serious, I’m talking to you about serious stuff." Lily Turner raised her hand to push away his head that was getting close, her charming face full of disapproval. Her heart felt chaotic, yet he appeared nonchalant.
What exactly was he thinking? Was he really unaffected? After all, the man was his half-brother; he couldn’t be as indifferent as he seemed on the surface.
Easton Holmes pinched her cheek, leaned in, and kissed her again, this time on the lips, "What I said earlier was serious, and I was seriously talking to you."
Before she could explode, he turned over and sat up.
"I’m going to take a shower now, do you want to join me?" He sat on the edge of the bed, turned to look at her still lying in the covers, hoping she would join him, though his hopes weren’t high.
"I don’t want to!"
Lily Turner turned over to face the window, showing her back to Easton Holmes, a big ’No’ written there.
Although he had anticipated slim chances, hearing her personal refusal still made Easton feel a bit disappointed, his mood showing on his face. He leaned in close to her ear, "Wife! Still shy? I think you could be a little thicker-skinned."
His mouth was close to her ear, and after he finished speaking, he mischievously bit her earlobe.
"Easton Holmes! Your skin is too thick; you’ll easily end up with no friends like this." Lily Turner pushed away the mischievous man by her ear, turned her head and glared at him angrily, "You’ll teach our daughter the same; I don’t want her to be as thick-skinned as you."
She turned her body to push him, meaning he should hurry to take his shower, but he made no move to cooperate with her.
"Hmm! I don’t want our daughter to be thick-skinned either, that’s not good. It’s better for our son to be thick-skinned, makes it easier to find a wife." Easton Holmes smiled at her, stood up, and walked to the bathroom.
Hearing this, Lily Turner quickly turned over and yelled at Easton Holmes’s departing back: "Easton Holmes! You’re playing favorites."
