Alice Turner hung up Isla Lane’s call and completely lost the mood for sleeping. She lifted the quilt and got out of bed, tidying it up neatly before heading to the bathroom.

She had told his mom that much, and his mom would surely call him to ask about the situation. His mom would certainly ask him to come over, whether he would or not was no longer her concern.

Whether he came or not didn’t matter to her anymore. He had always pretended she didn’t exist, so why should she bother to care about him?

"Someone will explain? Who?"
