Re-Awakening: I Became a Pay To Win Boss Monster-Chapter 847: Two Shotas

Rael and Nyx exchanged a glance, then decided to walk toward the people. Once they got close enough, they realized that these people weren’t actually fighting. Instead, they were just hopping from one rooftop to another and pushing themselves off for fun.

Whether that was some kind of strange game, or they were just mentally challenged, Rael’s eggs weren’t in the right basket to guess.

So like the good person that he was, Rael decided to whistle and get their attention. The moment he did that, the two people turned toward him, and once they actually realized that someone else was there, they nimbly leapt off the rooftops and landed in front of Rael and Nyx.

For a moment, these two just observed Rael and Nyx. On the other hand, Rael and Nyx did the same.

They look like toddlers, Rael said. Or I guess, early teenagers? Whatever the case might be, they’re young as shit. What are they even doing here?

[They might’ve possessed the loli gene,] Nyx answered genuinely.

Rael tilted his head slightly.

Neither of them are women. Shotas, then? Okay, we’re veering way off track. Nyx, question time, Rael said and then nodded at the two teens.

"Sup. We’re new here. Any idea where the rest of the people are?"

The teens exchanged a glance, then nodded at Rael and Nyx.

"The 75th floor!"

"Is that so? Well, what about you two? Why are you here?" Rael asked.

"Because we went down," one of the teens answered. "The only thing left for us is to climb a couple hundred more floors. We’re bored, so we decided to reset."

Oh?

Rael knew about that type of system. It was considered something like prestige?

If one reached the max level, or a quarter of the way to max level, they’d be allowed to prestige and reset their stats. In their next run, they’d get a bunch of bonuses.

Whether that was what these kids did or not, Rael wasn’t sure. But he was sure of one thing, and that was the fact that these kids were pretty damn strong.

"Is there anyone else in the city?" Nyx chimed in.

The teens shook their heads.

"Only us. We were about to continue climbing, but we decided to rest for today and actually meet some new people."

They were lying.

"You two just so happened to be the people we met, so what do you say we team up? Clearing the 51st floor is going to be difficult, since from here on out... every floor is considered a ranker floor. From the 76th floor upward, the High Ranker floors."

Right...

Rael found that concept interesting, but then again, he wasn’t in the mood to actually team up with anyone other than Nyx. After all, these kids were definitely plotting something, and the last thing he wanted was a smoking gun literally chilling behind them while they fought.

In short, these two can go buzz off. Nyx obviously thought the same, judging by her sneer. Despite that, Nyx didn’t have the heart to tell the kids off, but Rael did.

"No thanks. We’re not really interested."

The teens exchanged a quick glance.

"Um... Do you mind if we follow you, then? We’re about to go to the next floor anyway."

[I did a quick check on their lifespan, and these people are not kids at all. They’re using some kind of masking magic to hide their true appearance. They’re actually old men,] Nyx said.

At her words, Rael simply let out a sigh.

They were even worse than shotas.

Nonetheless, Rael decided to stop trying to even reason with them, since they would just continue to make up bullshit for the sake of bullshit. So with that in mind, Rael simply took Nyx’s hand and began walking away.

As it so happened, those two teens began to follow after them. That was why Rael decided to do some quick twists and turns into an alleyway. Eventually, he lost them, and once he decided to take a peek from behind cover, he realized that they were just chilling in the very center of the city, right in front of the statue.

It obviously seemed like they had a bunch of time on their hands, and if they were planning something shady, even more so.

So it was obvious that Rael would need to absolutely destroy them.

Should I cast a Heavenly Slash at them and just, you know? Rael proposed.

Nyx tugged at his sleeve slightly and then narrowed her eyes.

[I have a better idea. What if we mind control them to fight against each other?]

Rael raised a brow.

I can’t use mana here though.

[Yes, but you can still feel their minds, which means you might be able to do it.]

Hmm...

That actually wasn’t half bad of an idea.

If he did that, then he could easily deal with them, and since he actually had enough powers to do so, Rael gave her a quick nod and decided to try it out.

He peeked out of cover and then quickly used one of his skills to lock onto the two teens in the distance. In the next instant, Rael’s body slumped as he possessed the teen on the right.

At first, the other teen didn’t notice it. However, when Rael smacked him across the face with the back of his heel and sent him flying, the teen was much more in the mood to react as his eyes suddenly widened.

But before he could even say a single word, Rael decided to switch bodies. Instead of the current guy, he possessed the other. Feeling the slight sting on his cheek, Rael let out a chuckle inwardly and quickly tossed a jab right into the teeth of the guy he had just possessed.

And with the fight brewing, Rael didn’t hesitate to finally stop the possession, and thus come back to his own body.

The moment he did, he once again peeked out of the corner, and with a satisfied look, nodded at the sight ahead.

The two scammers were going at each other’s throats.

Hehe.
