96. Mishmash Encounter

Those words breaking their silence also broke Eryndor into a million fragments of glass but he did not know why but she sounded disappointed at that declaration.

Eryndor sprinted forward like a rabid beast and slammed into the steel cage causing the beast girl to almost go into a defensive stance. "No, it’s not like that. It’s a misunderstanding, that guy’s just crazy."

The beast girl opened her mouth to speak but Ash took over the conversation and in his own miraculous ways added wonder into it. "The princess gets horny from seeing to guys hitting, who knew." He said jokingly, this caused both the elf prince and the beast princess to explode in embarrassment.

Eryndor screamed out in rage. "What’s your problem, there was no hitting between anyone and don’t hit on her cut her some slack."

The beast girl was about to face Ash when Eryndor spoke and his words drew all off her undivided attention. "Hit on me? You both are just animals."

Eryndor felt hopeless, he could only blame himself for the poor choice of words. "Hey lady, missy whatever you are it was wrong of me to use those words in that order and I apologize."

The beast girl said nothing and vast him a side glance.

Eryndor took a step back from the cage bars to show that he really not interested in trouble unlike the other one in the cage with him. "Can we just start off again?"

In that instant Ash decided to interrupt again, "That’s how you work it, pull her in a lil bit more and she’ll be yours for hmthe talking."

Eryndor had had enough of the half elfs interruptions he seemed like a walking mass of trouble, all he did was make Eryndor unbearable to the extent that he wanted to kill him and now so did the beast girl.

"Can you shut up for once, I’m having a really important information here." Eryndor barked at him.

Ash sneered at him and said nothing. A few seconds passed before the elf princess flared up. "Will you shut the hell up for once you mindless psychopath."

Ash said nothing for a long while before answering. "Sorry princess next time bring your sister." With that he turned and walked away leaving them there in utter silence. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

With him gone the air became unusually calm almost as if he had dampened the mood between them. Eryndor could not feel if this was just by accident or if it was on purpose. Either was now he would get to talk to the one who had got him into this mess and hopefully the one to get him out of it.

He spoke a bit to forcefully but he did not regret it. "You got me into this so get me out, I have places to be. The healer too."

Ash picked up on it and yelled sou they could hear him. "What about me."

Eryndor looked in his direction and frowned. "Him you can kill."

Ash yelled back. "Hey that’s harsh ya know. You treat all your seniors like this."

"Sas the guy who murdered his own best friend." Eryndor thought to himself.

In the moment the beast girl spoke and broke the layer of this I’ve between them. "I know you helped save us but I have to say that it’s above my power for do a thing. It’s up to the elders."

Now Eryndor was pissed. "Is this how you treat your heroes around here’s I save you all and I get this treatment because I’m not a citizen of your community. This is nuts and—"

She cut him off. "It’s out of my power but I can try to persuade them."

Eryndor banged the steel gates and spoke in a bold deep voice. "I save the entire fucking village, that’s your persuasion you bunch of ungrateful dogs."

The beast girl did not say anything and instead looked away from him and at the expanse of the tree for a few seconds before saying. "I will try again." She turned and started to leave.

Eryndor gritted his teeth and barked at her. "If that’s all you came to say the. You shouldn’t have bothered coming to see your prisoners."

The beast girl paused for a moment and opened her mouth to speak but she closed it shortly after and walked away instead.

Eryndor hit the steel bar continuously till he broke his knuckles and collapsed on the base of the steel cage and started to breath heavily. If things went further he felt he would have to melt down the cage whether they were flame resistant or not.

A second later Ash’s head appeared next to him and he asked. "So no tingling tonight then."

"Shut the hell up you." Eryndor hissed as he shoved Ash away wanting to be done the nuisance. Now left to himself he started to formulate an escape but none seeing him leave the territory of the beast people with all the hair on his head intact. He thought if things would be more much better if he worked together with Ash. But then again there was the strange tendency he seemed not to be able to control so he ruled that out.

Meanwhile Merylin’s was hitting her lower lip as she walked away from the cage, her mind a mix of thoughts. She knew the elf boy had saved them despite not knowing them or being affiliated with them. If anything she was the one responsible for bringing him back to their village so she should be the one to blame. As she walked down the ladder that left away from the tree branch that arched before the steel cage she caught a glimpse of a figure.

She walked towards it with her gaze shifted slightly down. Since the ribs bridge was big enough to accommodate multiple people at one time she was able to walk past this figure. Just as she was waking by the figure spoke, "Is he awake?"

Merylin paused and responded in an angry tone. "What’s it to you Elze?"

Elze the twin sister of Merylin stood there with her back to her sister as she spoke. "You know dad’s and the elders will freak out if they find out you went to see him."

Merylin scoffed and continued to walk away, "As if they’ll ever find out." And with that she left their conversation to be finished by the songs of the birds. Night soon fell on the world and it would one that could not be forgotten
