Igaris's power Rank had ascended to Celestial after fully adapting to the laws of this Universe.
He could easily begin shaping external worlds as the Celestials did, constructing star-realms and nurturing life within them, yet that was unnecessary. He already carried an entire cosmos within him, a living Infinite Tree whose roots and branches stretched beyond mortal comprehension. That universe, alive and vast, was the source of his strength. Within it, every star bowed to his will, every law bent in reverence. He was not a mere Celestial. He was their God.
That was why no so-called Celestial of this higher universe could make him falter. He feared no Sovereign, no ruler, no ancient patriarch. If they reached for him, they would find only their own destruction.
The banners of Oynstar stretched across the skies. The people of a thousand worlds whispered his name. The soldiers who once doubted now prayed to him as savior. Yet Igaris did not bask in worship. His gaze was fixed ahead, toward conquest.
---
The war council assembled inside the stellar command sphere, a colossal structure orbiting Oynstar Prime. Holographic maps of galaxies shimmered across the chamber. Generals, ministers, and Rosella herself stood in attendance.
The Azure Sovereignty's territory glowed in the projection, vast clusters of blue-lit systems stretching like a web. It was the closest of the four hostile empires and the one most heavily involved in the initial assault.
General Jian Longchen stepped forward, bowing slightly before addressing. "Your Majesty, their fleets are in disarray after your display. Yet their true Celestials remain untouched. If they retaliate, their Sovereign himself may march."
Serynthia's draconic eyes gleamed with lightning. "Let him march. If he dares appear, we will tear his wings from his back. None can match the Overlord."
Shadow Reaper's metallic frame hummed with cold efficiency. "My Emperor, the Azure Sovereignty specializes in crystal energy cores. Their fleets may be weak now, but their industry is vast. If left alone, they will recover within a year."
Igaris's golden gaze pierced the projection, his voice carrying the weight of judgment. "Then we will not grant them a year. Not even a month. Their arrogance drew first blood. We will end them swiftly."
Malthius, cloaked in bone-fire, chuckled with malice. "A fine choice, my liege. Their dead shall rise in your name, swelling our armies with their fallen."
Rosella, standing beside the council, watched him closely. Though she said nothing, her heart swelled with conflicting emotions. His presence was both terrifying and reassuring. She had seen rulers before, but never a man whose every word carried the certainty of law.
Igaris's hand rose, silencing the chamber. "The fleets are ready. The soldiers have sworn. I will strike personally at their command center. Jian Longchen, you will lead the vanguard. Serynthia, take the skies. Shadow Reaper, unleash the first of the mecha legions. Malthius, harvest what remains."
His voice echoed like a verdict. None dared question it.
"All for Oynstar. All for the Emperor," the generals thundered in unison.
---
That night, alone upon the balcony of the palace, Igaris looked out at the starlit void. The Infinite Law Tree shimmered faintly behind him, its roots sinking into existence itself.
He closed his eyes, and within his inner cosmos, stars revolved. Entire civilizations prayed. Divine armaments slumbered in the branches, waiting for his command.
"This universe still thinks me a mortal invader," he whispered to himself. "Soon, they will learn I am not bound to their limits. I do not adapt to them. They adapt to me."
His Architect's Eyes opened, and he saw threads of causality stretching across galaxies. Fate itself bent beneath him. Karmic chains, once unshakable, snapped like fragile twine. He traced every enemy plot before it even bloomed.
The Infinite Acquisition stirred within him, drawing knowledge, power, and essence from every fallen foe. Each battle only made him stronger.
A calm smile touched his lips. "Let them come. With every strike, they only add to my strength. Their armies are bricks. I will use them to build my empire."
---
Three days later, the Oynstar Armada gathered. Thousands of new warships, forged with Shadow Reaper's runes and Igaris's guidance, gleamed with divine alloys. Necrotic legions stood in silent ranks. Dragon squadrons soared in formation. Sword corps marched with blades that hummed with Jian Longchen's teachings.
The people of Oynstar filled the cities, chanting his name. Hope burned in their eyes where despair once lingered.
Rosella stood at the observation deck, her voice quiet yet reverent. "They see you as more than Emperor. To them, you are salvation itself."
Igaris, clad in black and gold battle attire, did not turn his head. His eyes were locked on the stars ahead. "Salvation is fleeting. I do not want them to survive. I want them to thrive. For that, the carrion empires must be crushed."
She glanced at him, her pride warring with awe. "And if Celestials descend?"
His lips curved into a faint smile. "Then I will devour them as well. They will become part of me, as all else will. Tell me, Rosella, what god fears his children?"
Her breath caught, and for the first time she had no answer.
---
The fleets ignited.
The march to war began.
Igaris stood at the prow of the command ship, the Infinite Law Tree unfurling behind him. Every soldier, every general, every citizen across Oynstar felt his presence, their blood boiling with faith and fire.
His voice thundered across galaxies.
"The Azure Sovereignty dared to bare their fangs. Now they will kneel in ashes. Soldiers of Oynstar, march. Let this universe witness our rise."
The armada roared in unison. "VICTORY! VICTORY FOR THE EMPEROR!"
The stars trembled as Oynstar's fleets surged into the void, their path lit by the radiance of the Infinite Law Tree.
The first conquest had begun.
---
The Azure Sovereignty's Throne World
Deep within the crystalline citadel of Azure Sovereignty, a throne carved of living sapphire pulsed with cold light. Its glow spread across the grand chamber where nobles, generals, and ministers assembled in silence. At the heart of that throne sat the Azure Emperor, his form shrouded in robes of liquid crystal that shifted with every breath. His eyes, colder than frozen stars, glared at the projections shimmering before him.
The Oynstar fleets, newly reforged, were on the march. And at their head, standing like the embodiment of inevitability, was Igaris Vance.
A chilling stillness spread through the chamber until the princess of Azure Sovereignty broke it. With her voice trembling, she stepped forward. Her hair gleamed like azure glass, but her pride could not mask her fear. "Father… that man… he is not mortal. His presence… it suffocated even across the stars."
Her brother, Crown Prince Kael, clenched his jaw and forced his voice to steady. "You disgrace yourself, sister. Do not let his shadow shake your spirit. He is only a man who rose too quickly. Father will crush him."
The princess lowered her gaze, her lips pressed tight, but her hands betrayed her trembling. She had seen the images, the way entire fleets vanished in the fire of one hand. How could that be "only a man"?
General Rhakor, the Sovereignty's warlord, stepped forward in heavy crystal armor. His voice was like breaking stone. "Your Majesty, the Oynstar armada numbers in the thousands. Their ships are infused with unknown alloys, and reports speak of constructs that do not bleed, of dragons and abominations that fight as if tireless. This… is not the Oynstar of a year ago."
Kael slammed his fist against his armored chest. "So what? Numbers and tricks do not change truth. We are the Azure Sovereignty. Our crystal cores can power fleets for centuries without rest. Our walls are carved from eternal sapphires. No empire has ever breached us."
The Emperor finally stirred. His voice resonated like grinding crystal and echoing thunder. "And yet… you tremble." His gaze shifted to his daughter, who flinched under the weight of it. Then to his generals, whose silence betrayed their unease.
He rose from the throne, the sapphire behind him blazing like a captured star. "You fear him because he is new. You fear him because you cannot measure him. You forget who we are. We are Azure Sovereignty, older than the wars that carved this galaxy. Our bloodlines are born of crystal, our fleets burn with eternal cores. Oynstar is a shadow that rose too fast. Shadows vanish when the sun of sovereignty shines."
His words calmed none, yet none dared argue.
General Rhakor bowed. "Then, Your Majesty, we must prepare every fleet. The Fourth and Fifth Crystal Armadas stand ready. Shall we awaken the Celestial Guardians from the Deep Vault?"
The chamber hushed. Even the proud prince looked to his father for the verdict.
The Emperor's lips curved in cold disdain. "Not yet. If we rouse our Celestial Guardians, we admit weakness. No, we will bleed him first. We will test him. His arrogance will undo him."
The princess whispered again, unable to silence her heart. "But father… the Infinite Tree behind him… it looked like…"
"Silence." His command cut her words like a blade. "Do not speak of that tree. Do not give it power by naming it. That is not divinity, it is delusion. If he claims to be god, let him prove it against our walls of sapphire."
The prince smirked, emboldened by his father's declaration. "He will learn his place soon enough. We will shatter his fleets and parade his corpse across our stars."
But deep in his chest, even Kael felt the chill of doubt. He remembered how that golden gaze had pierced through images and made him feel naked, as though fate itself had already judged him.
---
The Emperor turned to his generals. "Mobilize the Sapphire Armadas. Double the crystal output of the core reactors. Seal every border world with prism shields. If Oynstar comes, they will be broken against our walls."
General Rhakor saluted with crystal-clad fists. "As you command, Majesty."
The ministers bowed, rushing to relay the decrees.
But when the chamber cleared, only family and closest council remained. The Emperor sat once more upon his throne, his gaze burning with ancient pride.
"Children," he said, his voice lower, "do not forget who you are. You are heirs of Azure. The cosmos itself crystallizes in our veins. That boy is an invader, a storm that rose too fast. Storms vanish. Crystals endure."
The princess forced a nod but her heart whispered otherwise.
The prince bowed deeply, declaring with fervor, "I will ride with the First Armies, Father. I will face him directly. Let me prove that Azure blood fears nothing."
The Emperor's cold eyes studied his son. At last, he nodded. "Go then. But do not be foolish. If you fall, you prove him right. If you live, you prove Azure unbroken."
The prince's pride burned, but in its shadow lingered a seed of dread he dared not name.
When the chamber emptied at last, the Azure Emperor sat in silence. The sapphire throne pulsed beneath him, feeding his body with ancient energies. Yet his gaze remained locked on the stars beyond the crystalline walls.
"Igaris Vance…" he muttered, a rare trace of unease in his tone. "Your rise stinks of more than ambition. You are no mere upstart. Something older breathes through you."
His hand closed into a fist, crystal shards forming around it. "But it matters not. This universe is not yours. It is mine. And if I must awaken my Sovereign Law to remind the cosmos, then so be it."
Far away, as if hearing him, the Infinite Tree shimmered faintly in the void, its roots threading into the unseen fabric of fate.
The Emperor's eyes narrowed.
"The war begins."
