"Been a busy day. Almost like a war is going on," Equi answered with the same energy as she looked at the guy in front of her. The number of death threads were still the same as before, but given his casual look somehow seemed to ignite her hope again.

"Did you have any breakfast? I think I missed mine," Adam added, making her look at him for a few seconds before answering," not really. Too many things on my hands right now. The world ending and stuff, you know?"

"I guess so. Wanna catch up for breakfast with me after this is all over?" Adam asked again as he looked at the Fate Weavers’ fight reaching the end. Luciana was barely holding on her own, while Zero and Raphi were trying their best to support her.

"Sure. But how are you going to stop this? Any ideas?" Equi asked, wondering what Adam had planned. Though he simply smiled at her before observing the battle in front of them.

"Sir Adam!" A woman appeared from behind, a girl carrying a huge amount of curse energy within her. She was the Sin of Lust, Iris. And looking at Equi for a few seconds she turned back to Adam as she spoke,

"I have finished what sir Neptune has asked for."

Adam nodded before answering," thanks a bunch Iris. That would save me from the grief later on. You may go now, please hide from now on. Things will get ugly from this point onwards. Also, take the Saintess of Water with you, she has been a great help too. I will meet you with Neptune by this evening."

Iris looked at Adam and then at Laplace before making a doubtful expression. Though she didn’t say as she simply nodded before moving away from there.

"Equi. Care to go for a walk with me?" Adam asked politely while Equi nodded as she answered," as long as you answer my questions."

"Sure," Adam answered as he began moving towards the area where the Fate Weavers were fighting. Their fight has almost reached a conclusion as Luciana seemed to have been considerably beaten up, while Raphi and Zero were barely holding on, trying to protect Luciana and failing horribly at that.

Adam took the first step towards them, while Equi followed with her hands at her back. As if taking a morning walk in the park, both of them seemed to have a calm expression as they looked at all the chaos in their vicinity.

"How are you going to stop Laplace?" Equi asked her first question, while Adam made a thoughtful expression and answered,

"I don’t think I can. If I do it, then the world’s end is inevitable."

"Hmmm? What do you mean by that?" Equi asked a bit confused, to which Adam answered,

"The way that Laplace is going to destroy this world. Well, it’s more like a one time power connected with his soul. And even though you see his body here, his soul, to be precise, is hidden in a far away place. Even if we succeed in stopping him here, he will regenerate within seconds to where his soul is. And then activate that power, destroying the entire world from that point."

Equi’s eyes widened in disbelief. She had many questions regarding how he knew such information, and if that’s the case then isn’t it too late to save the world? Though… her thoughts calmed down in the next instant as she asked,

"Then, what are we going to do?"

Adam looked at Equi for a few seconds before smiling," we, huh?" He mumbled.

"Well. WE… are going to save the world the hard way," he added as he stretched a bit before he spoke," it seems like it is almost time."

"LAPLACE STOP!!!!"

"HAHAHAHAAHAH!!!"

"NOOOOO!!!!"

Several screams came from the area where Laplace was. The people present there seemed devastated as Laplace carried a dark feather in his hand, while he looked at the sky with a pitiful expression.

"Primordials. I am ending everything here… It’s sad that it has to end this way," Laplace spoke as he then looked at Luciana, barely keeping herself on her two feets. While Raphi was unconscious and Zero was nowhere to be seen, there was no one to stop him anymore.

The Gods were engaged with the Titans, and there were 12 Infernals, the strongest general of Laplace surrounding him, protecting him from any incoming threats.

The end was nigh.

And there was nothing anyone could do.

A single tear fell off Laplace’s eyes as he spoke out," [World End!]"

The Black feather broke, creating cracks in the reality that soon spread to the sky, increasing at a rapid speed. At that point, the entire world felt an ominous aura from those cracks, they all felt the end of the world.

"Adam! What are… this is… " Equi had no words to describe her feelings as she saw those cracks in the sky. For the first time in ages, she was scared as she looked at those cracks. Despite already knowing the outcome of this battle, for the first time, she felt hopelessness.

There was nothing which could be done anymore.

And at that point… when silence covered the entire area, where all the hope was lost. Like a flickering candle of hope, a certain voice resounded, gathering everyone’s attention present on the battlefield.

"The end, huh?" He smiled without any concern or worry. His eyes, calm as always. But this time there was something different about him… he didn’t feel so powerless as before. It was as if everything was in the palm of his hands.

"We can’t have that now, can we?" He spoke as the energy around him converged and diverged. The mana surged around him, with each cell of his body, seemingly transforming, ascending. As if he were being blessed by the entire world right now.

"Guys," he looked around, bathed in mana from top to bottom, attracting the attention of every being around him.

"I am going to protect the world. Can I ask you guys to protect me, while I do that?" He asked politely, as a certain hope ignited in everyone’s hearts. Even though they didn’t know who he was or what he was trying to do…

Yet, somehow they all believed his words.

And then slowly closing his eyes, he paused for a brief moment.

"This!!!"

Equi saw. She saw what she was searching for… the threads of death being cut off from Adam, and then everyone around him. As if a wave, the threads of death were being washed away from the area, getting replaced with white threads of life.

Fate was changing. Destiny… was changing.

"STOP HIM!!" Laplace shouted as he too realised that something was going on with this black haired Fate Weaver. Something that could destroy all his plans.

And finally, Adam… he slowly opened his eyes, which contained a star shaped cross symbol in them, before he looked at the sky turning black with the cracks spreading throughout the area. Slowly opening his mouth he took a slow breath.

And then… he spoke…
