Realm of Myths and Legends-Chapter 1140: Trial Dungeon
"What an arrogant young man! He must not have seen enough of the world yet! I want to judge what skills he has to behave so arrogantly in front of this old man!" Pill Master scoffed.
"Who are you to judge my skills? I’m afraid you don’t have the ability." Izroth stated indifferently.
After Izroth reached the peak of the Seven Realms, who dared to say that they wanted to judge his skills? In the Seven Realms, unless that person was in the top ten of their profession, they had no right to even discuss things with Izroth, let alone judge him. Yet, this old man carelessly uttered words of such heavy ignorance.
"Palace Master Izroth’s strength is the real deal, but this is a Trial Dungeon—a place where one’s mastery of their profession matters more than their combat strength. Isn’t his behavior a bit inappropriate in front of Elder Pill Master, who others have started to call the third Pill Emperor?" Blue Quill said with a frown.
"When it comes to pills, even if Palace Master Izroth picked up a thing or two from the Pill Emperors of his Mystical Realm Palace, how can he compare to someone like Elder Pill Master?" Iron Cauldron commented.
"I thought you were just an arrogant brat, but it turns out you’re just insane! If you haven’t heard this esteemed one’s name, then you must be living under a rock, boy! Even those other Pill Emperors would have to treat me with some respect! You asked who I am to judge you? I am the Pill Master, the third person to hold the title of Pill Emperor! Just a little shop owner and yet dares to act so brazenly! Let me tell you, if this old man was to open up a shop, it would easily surpass that Mystical whatever shop!" Pill Master said confidently with a clear presence of disdain in his tone.
As a grade three Apothecary, Pill Master spend the vast majority of his time focused on his profession. Therefore, he did not know much about what went on in RML. He did hear a bit about Izroth from Haishe; however, it was not much. Plus, some of the things Haishe said made no sense.
"You want me to believe that this brat is a skilled Apothecary on top of being a high level? Impossible. Even I, who focused solely on my profession, am still only level 31. This Haishe brat must have also gone insane inviting this kid. Later on, if he doesn’t contribute, I’ll make sure he doesn’t see a single share of the rewards!" Pill Master thought to himself.
Izroth glanced over at Pill Master, causing the old man to freeze up as chills was sent down his spine that made him instinctively take a step back.
Seeing his actions, a carefree smile formed on Izroth’s face as he returned his gaze forward. He had not used Soul Pressure or anything else special, but that old man retreated a step from a simple gaze.
’With that kind of poor mental fortitude, a grade three Apothecary is his limit.’
In RML, the gap between grade two and grade three Apothecary was like a small jump compared to the chasm that existed between a grade three and grade four Apothecary. And, Izroth learned one of the most important things for an Apothecary to advance further was their willpower. This was due to the way grade four and higher pills were crafted in RML.
"If someone with only your capability could surpass my Mystical Realm Palace, I fear that even a random stray dog could make me close my doors. Of course, such as thing is beyond their ability, let alone yours." Izroth stated calmly.
"You-!" Pill Master nearly coughed up blood from anger at hearing Izroth’s words.
Not only was he compared to a random stray dog, but his ability was being placed below that of a lowly mutt!
"Alright, let’s stop it here." Haishe said as he cut off Pill Master.
"Stop here? That brat-!" Pill Master angrily pointed at Izroth.
However, Haishe quickly cut him off again and said coldly, "Elder Pill Master, you are a dignified person. How can you let a few words bring down your esteemed status?"
Pill Master furrows his brows as he cleared his throat before stroking his beard.
"Little Haishe is right. How this esteemed and dignified elder entertain such ridiculous words. For your sake, I am willing to let this go. But, don’t expect a second time." Pill Master stated.
"I knew that Elder Pill Master would be understanding. Thank you for giving me some face. While we don’t all have to like each other, it’s important that we set aside our differences until the Trial Dungeon is complete. Now, we’ve wasted enough time standing here. Let’s head in. Mystic Lock, you’ll lead the way and clear out any traps. Steel Mountain, maintain a safe distance, but follow after Mystic Lock and make sure he’s well protected. The rest of us well stay behind them until we reach the trial area." Haishe explained.
Following Haishe’s orders, Mystic Lock made his way into the Trial Dungeon’s entrance with Steel Mountain trailing not too far behind.
The entrance into the Trial Dungeon was a small cave only a few meters deep with a portal located at its end. It was this portal that was the entrance of the Trial Dungeon.
One by one, everyone stepped through the portal.
"Hmph!" Pill Master looked back at Izroth with an unfriendly expression before he walked through the portal.
Now, there was only Izroth and Haishe who had yet to enter the Trial Dungeon.
"I hope that Palace Master Izroth will try his best for this Trial Dungeon and not hide his cards too well." Haishe said with a meaningful gaze.
"What useless worries. Since I have decided to do something, I’ll follow through with it until the end." Izroth responded without hesitation.
"Then, I can rest easy. See you on the other side." Haishe said as he walked into the portal.
’Hm?’
Out of nowhere, Izroth turned his gaze to the sky. The next moment, a carefree smile formed on his face.

’Oh? Those two sure found something interesting.’
A few seconds later, Izroth set his gaze ahead as he entered the portal into the Trial Dungeon.

The moment Izroth arrived on the other side of the portal, he was bombarded by a stream of system alerts.
’I can see why it’s said that strength and equipment don’t make much of a difference in Trial Dungeons. With restrictions like this, one’s profession truly steps out into the forefront.’
Since the Trial Dungeons set things to zero and placed them in stasis, the changes were able to bypass Izroth’s The Unbounded One skill. Though Izroth figured that the system would not allow one to ignore the purpose of a Trial Dungeon, which was to test one’s profession.
Izroth quickly caught up to the group as Mystic Lock led the way as he swiftly disabled one trap after the other on the single passageway that led forward.
Izroth used his Energy Vision Sense to scan his surroundings.
’Fortunately, it doesn’t seem like my Energy Vision Sense has been affected by the Trial Dungeon’s restrictions.’
Izroth could see several streams of mana flowing throughout walls and floor of the passageway. Most of these mana streams were related to traps, as Izroth saw some of them disappear the moment Mystic Lock disabled a trap. As for the others, they led to the area ahead at the end of the passageway.
Several minutes later, Mystic Lock managed to successfully clear all the traps in the passageway as Izroth the group reached the end that was protected by a thin magic barrier. However, not long after Mystic Lock disabled the last trap, the magic barrier disappeared and revealed a spacious room.
As Izroth and the other walked into the spacious room, they were greeted by a strong lingering medicinal scents that filled the area.
The room was roughly fifty meters in diameters. The most shocking part was that more than 80% of the room was a medicinal garden filled with the brim with rare plants and herbs, small mystical springs, and other ingredients that those present had never seen nor heard of before.
"Sun Drinking Flowers, Gold Singing Moss, I even see Dragon Fire Breaths..!" Blue Quill exclaimed as his eyes widened in shock.
"Any one of these herbs can sell for hundreds or even thousands of gold coins and there’s a garden full of them right in front of us! There are at least several million gold coins worth of materials in this place! No, maybe even more!" Iron Cauldron gasped.
As everyone was taken aback by the medicinal garden, Izroth turned his attention elsewhere. It was to the small section of the room on a platform with four tables and four cauldrons. On top of the tables were neatly placed scrolls that were still sealed.
